Hey, I'm here to rant about why I think Xavier Thorpe and Wednesday Addams would've never worked. Why am I yapping about this? Because I had an idea about a fanfic that's actually too long and I'm a perfectionist so it's never going to be published in ao3 and he was in it but now he's not going to be because of season 2.
Also, a little rant why all the straight ships just won't work.
Now, Wednesday is a teenage girl that knows how to manipulate really well to get what she wants. Tyler is the same, and he did get what he wanted out of Wednesday in Season 1, not only that but he focuses more on power while Wednesday focuses on control. He feels powerful whenever he becomes the Hyde, this is confirmed in Season 2. Wednesday and Tyler would just be two people fighting for dominance in the relationship. If it's toxic love then it's the worst kind, it's like the most boring kind as well if one of them gets dumbed down so the other can "win".
Now, on Xavier, he had something. Because his kind of toxic is also boring but it's barely noticeable unless you really squint. He submits, no, not in the submissive and breedable kind of way, he literally goes "Yeah, okay" but then charges you after like you're in a store and now you owe him something even though he literally gives something on his own.
Sure, same thing could be said for Tyler, but the difference is that Tyler knows what he's doing. I have a huge feeling that Xavier doesn't. He says stupid shit, does stupid shit, and thinks he's owed something after.
What I'm saying is that Wednesday and Xavier's relationship, if they ever became something, would've been extremely transactional, in a way that goes "I did this for you, and I couldn't be given this". He's very whiny. And even though Wednesday would benefit greatly from that and be annoyed by it, I think she would be caught onto that trap simply because it's barely noticeable. A lot of people fall for that too. I'm so sure that if Xavier was in Season 2 after giving the phone, he would've asked about it and traded for a date.
Also, they did Yoko dirty, not even a single mention of my girl, at least Xavier had something.
