Can I say Dick now?

There were so many moments from this episode that I loved, and so many artistic choices I loved! The cool scene transitions! The ad break! The pure dark used on Stig's gaoru form, making him look like pure void against the textured background. The amazing animation!! THE FLAMES! I'm just in love.

But I felt the need to draw Grimaline, a character who will be missed. And definitely isn't coming back from the vitae, we're all just coping and seething and you know it.

Okay I need to go into the implications and imagery here. Cause this is prettty nuts backstory and information to be given here. To start off with the easy stuff the christ iconography is literally being eaten away by what looks like wyrm taint. The fact Stig is using some true sight magic means we can take this as being fairly literal at least so far as the corruption of the church goes.

Based on what we know about Stig from the bumper he's the eldest of the trio, but we don't know how old. If the one talking here is genuinely the Big J, JESUS CHRIST that implies Stig was there to meet him?? Is the wolf spirit in the back meant to be a metaphor for how he feels at the moment or is it apart of a flashback? there are plenty of stories of wolves being repelled by Christianity and churches so it could just be a reference to that as well. As I see it there are a few possibilities for this scene's meaning;

Stig is genuinely ~2000 years old and was there to meet Christ in person before becoming a proper Garou. I find this one unlikely because that would make him obscenely old.

This is the first time Stig has encountered true faith in person and only knows of Christ through legend and perhaps in relation to Gaia so what he's seeing here is a metaphor for how the wyrm has corrupted religion and god and such. The wolf spirit being shown is just a metaphor for his emotions.

You know how many of us joke that Pride month should be followed by Wrath? Well, this year I feel a deep, burning fury towards all who use transgender lives as political propaganda, bargaining chip or something to be debated and decided on without any of us in the room.

We are human beings. You cannot erase us.

Or do what I’m doing: printing em on a normal printer, layering tape over a peice of wax paper, laying the cut out design over that, taping over it again with clear packing tape, then cutting that out-the wax paper acts like the sticker back :)

Stories that handle a bi character's past relationships lazily either focus only on what the ex did wrong, presents the ex as an unpleasant person to be around at the very least, or worst: makes it seem like the bi character experimenting with the same gender was either "just a phase" or, when an ex is of the opposite gender, reframes it as repressed homosexual identity, which can happen irl, but can push someone away of their bisexual identity when that is not the case.

Grimal's and Kitten's relationship is treated as a something in which BOTH of them commited mistakes and they had to put some work to avoid repeating them in the fute, with Grimal's addictive and violent tendencies and with Kitten been prone to hide the things the bother him until they all accumulate and explode.
