Welcome to Beebo Island

Bella just got here, but she already wants to be everyone's friend.

Beebo Island, home of all beebos, is almost here!

In the meantime, I've set up this blog to get ready for release day. I'll share pictures and stories from Beebo Island here. If you're a fellow Tomodachi Life fan or if you just find my beebos fun to read about, stick around. :D

This is two days' worth of screenshots combined, mostly because I didn't take very many on either day, but it's just enough for one journal entry.

Djungelskog was reunited with his two nieces in their happy home known as IKEA. Now that the siblings are back together, the whole family celebrated with a trip to exotic western Europe. They're used to the sights and sounds of northern Europe, specifically Sweden, so this was a new experience for the whole family.

Shared family hobbies include gossiping (with honorary nephew Puck), TV, and junk food.

This is a really cute detail that I just noticed--very short characters get some kind of stool or booster seat every time they have to reach a tall surface. It happens for the seats at the restaurant too. So cute.

After arriving to the island, Ryoshu found an unexpected friend in Saccha. It helps that they have shared hobbies. It doesn't help that the hobby is, well.

She's gotten to know her fellow Limbus coworkers as well, but she's mostly just been terrorising them rather than making things any easier, but they certainly couldn't have expected otherwise. Because...

Oh no, now the crush is mutual... But their communication hasn't improved one bit. They'll be pining forever at this rate. Honestly, I kind of like how hopeless these two are.

Speaking of hopeless, the newest additions to the island are YV, my Pokemon OC, and Silver, specifically from the Adventures series. I always though YV was the romantic of the two, but--

Go for it buddy!! This was a super cute cutscene, and my first time seeing the "crush" cutscene with butterflies specifically. Look at how radiant YV is in the nighttime glow surrounded by butterflies. Anyone would fall in love.

Note: This is after two other crushes that Silver had in quick succession on Heathcliff (?!) and Tharja (?!?!), both of whom were LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, but he sure did ditch them both fast. He might just have an indecisive heart. But I hope he and YV stay together for a little while.

Now that YV is on the island, I've started making sprites of their team. First up is Crobat! The proportions of the pixel art took a minute to figure out, but it was so fun to color match and draw it out. Out of all their team though, I don't know if I'm up for the challenge of Alolan Muk to be honest.

Let's all get some good relaxation like Ryoshu and Mimo. ^q^

Catching up with Beebo Island's happiest couple, who are now living together. Congratulations are in order, with a duo trip to Hawaii! Kagero's eyes strayed in that picture with the hula dancers but it's okay since the talisman is in the way.

Others residents aren't having so much luck in their relationships. Ishmael is pining hard, embarassingly so. She holes herself up in her room half the time just thinking about her crush.

And as if things weren't hard enough for her already, she had the bright idea to ask Heathcliff to move in with her. He agreed, but how did she have the courage to ask him to be housemates and not ask him to start dating? Rent on this island must be hard to pay.

Well, it might not be for lack of trying. Heathcliff might also be stupid.

Cohabitation was NOT the move to help their relationship progress. Oof.

To mix things up, I added Ryoshu to the island as well. She's not here for love, so she might be able to offer these two fools some sage advice. She's just here to smoke a cigarette and look hot.

Today was a couples-centric day, as Tharja and Libra also arrived on the island and are getting along well! I did yank Tharja out of bed to help Libra in his time of need though, so she might have a bad impression of me after that. She needed her beauty sleep.

I'm really happy to finally add these two, my long-time Fire Emblem ship, to my island. Back in the 3DS Tomodachi Life game, they were always some of the first Miis I added. I just love them so much.

Let's check on the less lovestruck residents of the island as well--

Bella decided she wants to cash in on her early-resident status for some extra favors... Shhhh, Bella, the other residents can't find out, it wouldn't be fair. But yes you may have first pick of every day's Fresh Kingdom haul. And I'll get you your custom pet, just be patient.

Bella's new hobby these days is jogging. I'll often see her running laps around the beachfront, chanting the names of foods she likes as motivation along the way. So so so cute. Good job Bella!!

The restaurant has been a popular spot for island gossip recently. This conversation felt like real hater talk though! Are they jealous? Foxglove just has a lot going on. >:l

Finally, the photography studio has unlocked on Beebo Island as well. So here's a group photo to commemorate all the residents so far! A little island-wide group photo every few days would be a really cute way of watching the growth of the island. I wonder what the upper limit is on villagers in photos. My goal is to get the resident population up to 35.

I didn't make this island with any relationship drama in mind, but I won't be against it if it happens. Ishmael and Heathcliff having such poor communication but still maintaining a one-sided crush is genuinely so funny to me. I think that's the best possible scenario for them, actually.

This entry and the next few are coming in a bit late because IRL got busy for a minute. But Beebo Island stayed busy too. I'll catch up on the rest of the happenings in the next two entries.

We're welcoming a lot of new residents very quickly on Beebo Island!

Elizabeth from Persona 3 is here and she brought her favorite little mascot along with her. Something about it feels different here though... Only time will tell, hee ho.

Ishmael and Heathcliff from Limbus also arrived and immediately had a meet-cute. These two are getting along surprisingly well. Too well, in fact.

Their idea of fun is simply arguing over some nonsense zero-stakes topic. Apparently, Ishmael is really fond of this activity.

Fond enough to immediately develop a crush and even ask to move in! She was unsuccessful this time though. I think it was too much too soon. It's not that I'm going to encourage those two, but it doesn't seem like they need my help very much either. Good luck, Ishmael.

Oh, Beebo Island didn't have a seesaw before. The entire island received a full makeover, actually! There are now brick and wood paths as well as lots of new structures and greenery for everyone to enjoy.

Foxglove moves fast--she was very brave today and took the leap to ask Kagero out. Luckily, it all went well and they became Beebo Island's first official couple.

Everyone is feeling rather confident in their relationships today. But do you see how it says "Sweethearts for 2 days" on the bottom left? TWO DAYS, Foxglove. Take it EASY. My god.

She and Kagero are easily the cutest couple on the island, though. I'm not sure anyone will surpass their pure, sweet love anytime soon.

Three of Beebo Island's strongest residents graced us all with their muscles on the news. I really thought it was so funny that they chose some of the best candidates--Foxglove, who uses huge weapons; Saccha, who has an entire strongman-themed strip show bit; and Djungelskog, who is a literal bear. And Lizzie and Heathcliff's reactions were spot-on. Who wouldn't be excited about this?

Mimo and Ishmael have been friendly simply because they're both orange. Djungelskog is just there to chaperone.

But Mimo, you're already the smallest creature on the island, how much shorter are you trying to become?

Speaking of small residents, Puck (the little purple freak) is new to the island as well. No one likes him all that much yet, but considering how annoying he is, I can't blame them. He and Saccha get along just fine though, since she's also a social menace.

Really enjoying the new look of the island. I spent basically all my money renovating, and I still want to get more plants to cover every tile. Real estate is filling up quickly with new residents coming in though. I hope some more households form soon, so that we can save some space.

I also thought it was funny that I had xiaolongbao irl on my birthday, and then this appeared in a mystery bag in my game.

Finally, a cute and silly Mimo to end today's entry.

Today is 18 April 2026 on Beebo Island, and also my birthday!

First thing at around 12 - 1 AM, Bella greeted me with a lovely birthday song and cake. It was too cute, and I really teared up a little... All six of the residents of Beebo Island had a nice birthday wish for me, presented in a circle with clapping, End of Evangelion-style. Genuinely so, so cute and a great start to my day.

I stayed up late to add another resident, Kagero, the mysterious merchant from Monster Hunter Rise. His face cover/talisman was really fun to customise. Fun fact, he has no facial features underneath the talisman.

You know how I said I had plans for Foxglove?

Okay, even if I had plans, she acts on her feelings way faster than I could ever anticipate. Foxglove, get it together! ... is what I would normlaly say, but I made Kagero specifically for her, so actually this time go ahead. Indulge in your little crush.

She's hopeless. He's RIGHT THERE. Not even trying to be subtle!

Speaking of relationships, Bella and her uncle Djungelskog decided to form a household together! It only makes sense to call them by their IRL home base...

It's the perfect pair for this island's first household. Up to no good already. And I'd love to move Mimo in with her sister and uncle someday, but for now, she's just visiting. She's always been an independent personality.

Our little business baby Mimo heard that another merchant had moved in, so she had to introduce herself to a potential business partner.

I'm having a surprising amount of fun coming up with ways that these completely unrelated characters would get along with each other. Mimo and Kagero bonding over their respective businesses makes so much sense in hindsight.

Finally, a quick peek of two more new residents, Elizabeth from Personal 3 and Ishmael from Limbus Company. They'll feature more next time!

Today was a big day for Beebo Island, because I basically played all day (in-between my birthday plans that is). I was on the train poking my girlfriend every other minute to show her something cute or funny happening on screen. Just delightful. And that unexpected birthday scene was so sweet. I keep going back to rewatch it and it warms my heart each time.

I got my game on 17 April 2026! Now Beebo Island is finally real.

From the demo, Bella, Saccha, and Minver were already living on the island. Next is Mimo! Obsessed with how small Mimo is, and her little worried eyebrows are so cute... She's definitely a favorite.

Saccha and Bella quickly became friends over a shared love of mischief.

Mimo and Bella became friends through a hiccuping incident. Mimo seems prone to these little accidents. Also, can't get over how cute my island's tiniest residents look next to each other!!

Introducing our fourth resident, Djungelskog--yes, the same as the one from Ikea. He's the one plushie of mine that did not really ever receive a name.

Somehow, he needed Bella's help as well? Bella is really today's hero of Beebo Island.

Rounding out the first six residents is Foxglove, my Monster Hunter OC. I felt like with all the little animals on the island, I needed a more humanoid character. She's the most normal one here by far, so far.

...Never mind, she fell in love with Minver within just one or two interactions of meeting her. Foxglove...!! I have plans for you. You and Minver are NOT a match.

Get it together!

Minver knew something was up and offered to be friends instead. They have a shared love of creatures. Friendship is definitely how their relationship was meant to play out.

I'm so happy this game exists. The interactions and customisability surprises me at every corner. I'm so delighted by how scruffy Bella looks, how smart Mimo looks in her little business suit, and how pretty Foxglove turned out! And Foxglove really made a deep impression by immediately falling in love as soon as she arrived; I nearly felt my fight or flight kick in as I scrambled to do damage control.

There's a good mix of kids and adults on this island, so I'll go through and update the characters' profiles on my about page after this post. I still have some face paint customisations to catch up on too. Minver is missing her vitiligo, for example, and Foxglove is missing some face scars.

I've been recommending this game to all my friends, especially the ones with lots of OCs. If only it were easier to share Miis, I would add all their characters in a heartbeat.
