Small scene made for character exploration of Sage and Moth Metal Sonic in Eternal Tundra AU.
The nymph gazed at the immense shroud of darkness above. It was the sky in the only form she knew. Her frigid fingers traced the snow, the substance that composed her home - the cold was her warmth and her comfort. She was home, and her home was perfect.
Suddenly, one of the creatures that inhabited this world approached: the ice “moth.” At least, that is what they called him. But she didn't know what moths were; perhaps if she saw one, she would think they looked like him.
“You again, ice creature… what have you come here for?”
Crescent picks up a stick and begins to draw on the ground.
“Have you come to bring more stories about the outside world?” she asked in her typically low, trembling voice.
He shakes his head and draws a Sun and a Moon. To her, they were merely curious and unique symbols.
“What are they supposed to represent?”
He points toward the All-Seeing Eye at the peak of the sky, and then toward the horizon, indicating the world outside.
“Do they exist in the world beyond? In the sky, just like the All-Seeing Eye?”
Crescent nods his head, indicating yes.
“Why do you care so much about the other world? Is this one not enough for you, ice creature?” she asked, a bit scornfully.
Crescent stares at her, appearing to reflect for a moment, then points at her and gestures toward the symbols.
“You think I would like it too?” she said with a faint smile. “This is my home, and the unnatural order of this world created me. I belong to the shadows and the darkness. Just like you.”
She spoke while lying down on the snow-covered ground. Crescent pulls her by the hand with force, forcing her to sit up, and then draws his creator, looking irritated.
“Ah, yes, you were made to explore the other world…” she said. “But what is the point of becoming a real fairy if you’re going to live here forever anyway?”
“It is my purpose. To be real, to become perfect, as The Sculptor desires. To eliminate the enemy, and expand the glory of Darkness.”
“Doesn't sound so bad to me.” She throws herself onto the ground again. He also decides to lie down on the ground to contemplate the noise-stars in the sky.
