just after christmas i had a weird thing about being single because my siblings both got couply presents for christmas and my mum was talking about me being single to someone she knows (with no judgment) but its the first time i’ve felt very aware of being single for a long, long time

then this morning all i can think about is my job because its boring and unfulfilling and in a dream world i’d work in publishing but it looks like i can’t get a job without getting some experience and i do not have the money to intern or work foc and live in london but i’ve barely found publishing houses in manchester so it feels like i’m stuck

i’m in a maternity cover rn, if it doesn’t get extended i’ll be back doing something thats dull or something thats beneath me so like mid march i’m going to have to start looking at publishing and applying for everything on the off chance they risk employing someone with office experience but no publishing experience but then i don’t know if i’m the right kind of person for publishing 

i definitely want to leave 

i can apply for lots of different roles i suppose and i’ll find the right one but with the job and relationship thing it feels like time is slipping away very quickly and i am not where i am supposed to be

i hope that in december 2018 i can think about my job sitch and think ‘it was all okay in the end’

i do feel like 2018 is going to make a significant difference but i know i need to be actively making that difference

i’m alright with it

i have made a very cheesy risotto tho. and ice cream so i’ve eaten a lot so the prosecco thing should be okay

it needs to be okay because i have the dentist at 12.20 tomorrow
