Token was only ever sure of one thing nowadays and that was whether he was gonna be seeing Christophe whenever he wanted an evening to himself. Sure, a small part of him felt actually a bit happy and excited to spend some more time with the shorter boy but he also squished that part of him down so technically, it didn’t exist. No, for now his emotion was only annoyance as he heard the shuffle of shoes upstairs and the sliding of doors, too. 

With a groan, Token lifted himself from the long red couch he was sat on and stood to stretch. Hey, no point in rushing since he had already figured out it wasn’t a threat. Sure, Chris managing to get past his bodyguards and dogs was a little bit suspicious (and should be concerning) but Token also knew how to fight. So at least if he died, he could go down fighting. The mental preparation it took to face Chris was a lot, since it was gonna be a lot of mocking one another and seeing who gave up first. Listen, it took a lot of energy out of Token when he sassed someone, okay? Okay.

Shuffling towards the purple curtain acting as a door, he pushed it back and walked up the creaky wooden stairs towards the hallway just beside his front door. His white walled, finely decorated hallway greeted him with no-one in sight. Thankfully, his parents had gone out five minutes ago to allow him to chill in peace but that was about to be disrupted, no doubt. There was no way Chris and peace worked in the same sentence.

He turned the corner into his living room and lo and behold, there stood the tiny French man, boots scuffing into the carpeted floor and one hand scratching his dark, messy hair. Thankfully, the other’s back was turned to Token so he could maybe watch to see if Chris tried anything. Not that he thought the other would steal something, but he wouldn’t put it past him to try spray painting the expensive paintings hanging above the fireplace. 

“I’m not like, a huge fan of his stuff but I always have some nostalgia for IT, the Shining and Pet Sematary, cause my folks let me watch them when I was a kid,” Token casually replied, motioning his hand towards the screen as he talked. “And yeah, this is the one with the clown. You know; “When you’re down here with me, you’ll float, too.” He laughed after quoting the movie, forgetting just how dumb some of the stuff in it was. 

Chris’ observation puzzled him enough that he whipped around to the brunette, one eyebrow raised. “There is a mini bar,” he responded, turning his upper body to throw his arm out and wave towards the island table right at the back of the room that he had forgot to mention earlier. To be fair to him, it wasn’t used often since his lazy ass would rather just stay on the couch than actually have to get up and work on the small microwave.
