Supergirl Film Spoilers
I donno what the critics are on, Supergirl has a very understandable motivation and rather enjoyable story overall.
it is literally "get in the car we are going to kill a pedo who poisoned my dog" the movie. Is there pacing issues? Yeah but no more or less than like half of the MCU and DC library and overall the film does a great job of setting up Kara's headspace. My big issue is more so the fact I think a lot of superhero films (and action films overall) are going to get themselves too dependent on "hip or nostalgic rock/pop song blasts during a fight scene" and I just wish we spent a little more time on Kara and Ruthye's earlier interactions. Kinda just irritated that another decently/enjoyable hero film with a largely women/girl focused cast is going to be tossed into the no further development vault due to poor box office sales and harsh critics who weren't even this critical of what i would argue is a horrible end to the MCU's first phase, Endgame.
