I decided I would start to document my art and production process, as many friends (as well as my therapist) have insisted that I should. After years, I have caved in. I figure I should try by introducing myself. I am Tohogoro, Toho for short. I like to draw and invent stories. I am 20 years old.

I like gamedev, speculative biology, writing, renovating old typewriters, ice skating, math, and many other things. I am very curious, so my list of hobbies and interests is extensive. I have multiple stories, and switch focus depending on my whims. They are all in various styles, genres, mediums, and stages of development.

I will try my best to keep them in order by utilising tags, but I am new to social media, so please bear with me if I make any mistakes. I think that is all I have to say for now. May my art provide interest in your scrolling. Organisation stuff:

My new character, Hina.

This young man is a healer with a soft and almost-maternal temperament. He is quite brave but fiercely gentle, and always polite.

Above are some concepts for him, as well as some bonus Getrelkas.

About the cross design on his outfit, the inspiration comes from old JRPG designs, such as the first The Legend Of Zelda games. I want his clothes to look soft and to lightly evoke a nanny, hence the large, round apron on some of the concepts. I think I will keep that apron. I also opted for puffy gaiters evoking the kind of fluffy legwarmers found in cute modern fashion, while staying classic.

I was thinking of maybe making a little character to represent myself. My profile picture is sort of a demo of an idea I had.

Did not draw today. Read a lot, and prepared for tomorrow. I have a... "date" that's not actually a date. You know how it is! Not framed as a date, but feels very high stakes and makes me overthink just like a date would.

I am thinking of picking up ice skating for real soon. I skated on ice maybe once in my life, but I miss the feeling of getting good at something, fighting a new learning curve. And I think something physical and high-impact like ice-skating could help me be more anchored in my body.

I have been down recently, because my Ruegen strawberries likely have died, I was in a very minor conflict with my friend, and I have found myself unable to sleep at all most nights.

What matters is keeping hope. Things can only get better, even when you look at it objectively. What matters is not falling for the allure of despair. Because once you do, that is when you have really lost.

There is one thing I did not understand, when I was younger.

The worse you feel, the more you have to take it easy.

No matter how wrong it feels, it is an imperative. Else, you will just be walking into place, forever, stagnating. Probably getting worse.

When I told my friend about my recent rewatch of Yuri!!!! On Ice, she expressed sadness at the fact that there is no good yuri figure skating anime.

Today, I was sleep deprived, and my head ached too much to turn on the computer. So I decided to take it easy, and think about what that anime could look like.

What quickly came to mind is a rivalry between a talented long-haired girl, and a temperamental short-haired girl.

Wanting to work on many things at the same time is painful. I usually end up working on the easiest one- which is not necessarily a good thing. My therapist has made me notice that I very often let my own expectations of what I am able to do, dictate what I do. Therefore, I noticed I find myself semi-intentionally flubbing projects when I am feeling like a loser. Life is always scarier in our own head.
