friendly reminder that “i don’t like vegan food” or simply “i don’t want to be vegan” is a perfectly good reason to not be vegan and you are not unethical or immoral for enjoying and consuming animal products!

“I don’t like oranges” or “I don’t want to eat an orange” is a perfectly good reason not to eat an orange, but “I don’t want to be vegan” is not a good reason to support animal and human exploitation, slaughter, environmental destruction, extreme resource use and one of the most fundamentally corrupt industries on earth. This kind of argument is so deeply revealing of what your values are, not only do you think human taste is more important than animal lives, but you actually believe that animals don’t even morally matter at all. There can be no moral justification for refusing to take into account the suffering of others when making decisions about how to behave. 

You will meet many types of people in your life. You will meet delicate flowers, raging oceans, quiet forests, towering mountains, and colourful skies. You will meet thunderstorms, you will meet lightning. They will knock you down, they will leave you breathless. You will meet sunrises, you will meet gardens. They will give you light, they will take you on adventures. Explore them. Get lost with them. They all have something to teach you.
