just spent a few minutes looking at old random personal tagged posts and it is batshit crazy that i am such a different person now. but i love her (the old me & new me) (i’m a mom???) i am enjoying this chapter because i know it will end just as the times i reflect on now had an end.
my son is 7 1/2 months and is doing so well. he shouldn’t have survived but medical science is incredible. we stayed in the nicu for 134 days and that broke me and rebuilt me. i am still rebuilding.
i struggle comparing myself to the average mom but i spend a lot less time online and also my algorithms keep me off topic and laughing. i am pretty much homebound and haven’t gone crazy yet. my son has a long journey ahead of him, maybe like another two years, to where i can live in a house without a ten thousand dollar ventilator and we can take him wherever we want. lightheartedly, ive been given an honorary medical degree blessing by several MDs. pretty solid for a college dropout.
oh, and i am so, so, so tired lol
