Master Xehanort treats him as a significant threat, he was involved in Ansem’s research, he has Kingdom Key D, fought Vanitas, used the highest tier magic to stop time and save Sora, saved Riku, did a lot of things between BBS and KH1 and may be a Guardian of Light with the rest being original characters.

And that isn’t counting the time he tried to get revenge because he thought Goofy died.

BEGONE

A completed animation for Tails goes unused in Sonic Mania.  

The purple goo, which drops on your head going into Chemical Plant Zone, was going to have Tails dry himself off with his tails. In the final game he simply looks up.
