Susie: Now do you understand why I’m doing this?

Susie: (motioning towards Elfilin, held in stasis in a containment chamber, with wires attached to their head) Taranza, these creatures can jump through time. Their rift magic surpasses anything we can hope to wield.

Imagine what we could do with that power. Who we could save.

(Taranza recalls reaching for the fallen blossoms of the Dreamstalk, teary-eyed.)

Taranza: (shaking his head) Elfilin is our ally. I refuse to betray a friend even to save another.

Susie: Elfilin will be fine! They’re just dreaming.

(Reaching her hand out to Taranza) And besides… this isn’t just about our own problems!

(Now holding his hand) This is for everyone’s good.

(Flashback to Susie standing in Mass Haltmanns office, then collapsing to the ground as Halberd Mode Kirby takes off)

(Taranza tears up as Susie speaks) A world where Sectonia lives. One where she never gets corrupted. Maybe a world where Magolor isn’t in constant pain. Or one where Meta Knight never lost his crew.

(Susie smiles, eyes shut, holding Taranzas hand with both of her own)

Taranza: (crying as he remembers Sectonia before her corruption. She waves at him in the middle of a flower field, smiling.)

I could go back in time… and save her?

Susie: That’s right.

Taranza: How will you do that?

Susie: I can explain that!

The client first puts on a helmet connected to the main chamber. The helmet sends the clients thoughts and memories to 86, so it can find the point in time the client wants to return to.

Then, presto!

Taranza: No.

(Wiping a tear away with his hand) I know you mean well, but - this is too suspicious. I won’t tell the Allies about this. But until you can prove your idea is truly harmless… I won’t help you.

Susie: … I see.
