Why Get Your Kid Wooden Toys

Many parents will be thrilled by the idea of getting their child the latest model of cars, trains, planes, dolls, or gadgets that will keep them entertained. There is nothing bad in wanting to give your kid the toys that will make them happy. But at a certain age, it's important to encourage the child's imagination and improve their focus. And that can happen much better when the toy is made out of wood, has no added sound or colours and the kid has no choice but 'turn on' their fantasy.

Encourage Imagination

Wooden toys will require fantasy. This means that the wooden toy will have to come to life. The wooden airplane will have to fly with the help of the child's movement and when the kid does that, they will start to make sounds, create a story and so on. Studies show that imaginative play is crucial for a kid's cognitive ability. Wooden toys don't have the electronic parts or voice commands that will tell the child what to do. Kids start to role-play and imagine a thing that stimulates various types of intelligence like thinking, emotional intelligence and social skills. This way the kid will start to exercise their fine motor skills and will improve the hand-eye coordination (instead of simply pressing buttons and watch).

The number of plastic toys on this planet cannot be count. Keep in mind that one day you will throw those toys into the garbage (they will get broken or will no longer be interesting). So, if you want to keep the environment and let your kid play with suitable toys, then the wooden option is a great choice. Think of the memories your kid will have when they see their favourite wooden toy plane or wooden blocks a decade or so later. Wooden toys are environmentally friendly (far more than plastic). Also, you reduce the risk of unwanted allergies and rashes that often happens with plastic toys. Every time you invest in a wooden toy you save the environment. And even if you decide to throw the wooden toys one day, the organic and renewable wood will easily decay without burdening the planet.

The kid's safety is the primary concern of every parent. Wood is a safer alternative compared to plastic or metal and you know that kids tend to put everything in their mouth. A high-quality wooden toy is a safe option; your kid can hold it, put it in their mouth and still not be exposed to any health risk.
