The door moved soundlessly when he pushed it open, timidly, as if afraid he’d scare you away. You heard him place a tray on the coffee table. “I don’t want food.”

Sunlight was shyly reaching for the night sky when you stood side by side, watching little turtles make their way to the mysterious ocean with your breaths held. It was tranquil. Beautiful. You didn’t dare to move an inch in fear of disturbing the fragile creatures in their brave endeavor.
