𓂃⋆.˚ what you need:

Cotton Yarn 4ply size 2 mm.

Crochet Hook No.4 size 2.5 mm.

Crochet Hook No.5 size 3 mm.

Glue

Scissors

Needle 𓂃⋆.˚ round 1: (petals)

Ch 5 Sl st into first ch to form a small ring. Inside the ring, work: (ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) × 5 times → 5 tiny petals around the circle.

𓂃⋆.˚ round 2: (bigger petals)

Sl st into the first ch-2 space. In each ch-2 space around: (ch 2, 3 dc, ch 2, sl st) → makes 5 bigger petals.

𓂃⋆.˚ round 3: (outer petals (optional for fuller rose))

Sl st into the back of the petal (look for the space behind each petal). In each back space: (ch 3, 4 dc, ch 3, sl st) → makes a layered full rose.

Chain 7

2. Work down the chain:

Sc in 2nd ch from hook

Hdc in next ch

Dc in next 2 ch

Hdc in next ch

Sc in last ch 3. In the same last ch, work: (sc, ch 2, sc) (→ This makes the pointed tip.) 4. Now go back down the other side of the chain: • Sc in first stitch • Hdc • Dc in next 2 • Sc 5. Fasten off, leave long tail to sew.

medium yarn (weight 4)

5 mm hook

scissors

yarn needle

𓂃⋆.˚ round 1:

magic ring ch 3 (counts as dc) 2 dc into ring ch 2 (3 dc, ch 2) repeat 3 more times join with sl st to top of ch 3

you should have 4 clusters of 3 double crochets.

𓂃⋆.˚ round 2:

sl st to first ch-2 space ch 3 2 dc ch 2 3 dc (this makes a full corner)

in each ch-2 corner space: (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc)

join with sl st to top of ch 3

your square is starting to appear! ✨

𓂃⋆.˚ round 3:

sl st to next ch-2 space (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) ← corner

in each side space (the space between corners): 3 dc

repeat around join with sl st

granny squares are supposed to be loose — don’t pull too tight

blocking helps them look perfect

if yours turns into a circle → add tighter corners

if yours curls → loosen your tension
