"A little too close," Tai Lung answered the female dryly, hopping neatly down from a tree branch and into her line of sight. "Much too loud, while we’re at it." He had been here first, brooding quietly while regarding the smooth, mirror surface of water below him when the female had shattered his concentration. Who was she even talking to? It didn’t seem like she had known he was there, and anyway, it sure didn’t sound like she was talking to him. So was she insane?

He crossed his arms over his bare chest, fixing narrowed eyes on the glimmer surrounding her fisted hand. ”Are you supposed to be some sort of shaman?” he queried, a derisive bite punctuating the question. He did not place much weight in any kind of mystic, spiritual power.

Golden eyes snapped up instantly to meet the other as he approached, instinctively raising her hand, ready to strike. Yet for some reason, one she would most likely curse herself for later, she did not attack. She assessed him silently, the fingers of her free hand twitching at her side in an almost nervous way. He looked much stronger than she was, and Zarina had no idea how weak or not she was in this new form.

Deciding that in this case it was safest not to start a fight, at least until she had a better idea of the situation, Zarina let her posture relax a little. Slowly she lowered her raised fist and returned the glowing blue pixie dust to its holding place, careful not to waste a single spec of it. At his question, her gaze returned to him, an amused gleam in her eyes.

"A shaman? Pfft, please! I'm an alchemist. I deal in science not spirits!" the fairy quipped, tone mildly offended. "And just who or what are you supposed to be?"

Zarina cursed as she dodged a snowball, though to the other it would likely only sound like a tinkling bell; not many could understand fairies where she came from. Though this certainly wasn't home, it was far too cold. She wrapped her wings around her torso and shivered, glaring at the boy.

"Hey. I am not a winter fairy y'know!"

"You cannot be serious right now!"

Zarina exclaimed as she stared at her reflection in a pool of water, flinching at the sight. That couldn't be her, could it? Where were her wings? And she was huge! Frantically the rogue fairy reached around for her pouch of dust, heart pounding in her chest at the thought of losing her source of power. Thankfully there it was, the pouch of blue pixie dust tied securely to her waist, glowing faintly and apparently also resized to match. She sighed in relief, taking a handful of it to defend herself if needed, hazel eyes glancing around.

"Okay... so that's one problem resolved. Now to figure out where I am."
