The social media world is heavily populated by trolls — you know, those people who write nasty, mean comments online. Sometimes it can be tempting to respond back, but what if there’s a better alternative? Like sending them a cake…. with their words written on it.

New York City baker Kat Thek does just that. She’s the founder of Troll Cakes, a bakery and detective agency.

The process is simple. First, customers go to the Troll Cakes site to submit the comment and address of the troll in question. Thek will then bake a cake, write the comment on it using frosting or fondant letters, wrap it up in festive confetti, and send it to the perpetrator.

“When you open it up, [the box] looks like 100 percent good news,” Thek laughs. “And then you see a screen grab of your comment, and it says, ‘Congratulations! Your Internet comment has been made into a Troll Cake.’ ”

I don’t normally make posts like this, but I feel like this is something I need to do because it’s bigger than myself. So, I don’t know if you’ve heard but the Wonder Woman film comes out June 2nd… And if you didn’t know that, there’s a reason for it. Warner Brothers aren’t spending money on promoting the Wonder Woman film. No tv promotions, billboards, nothing. A film about a strong, powerful, amazing woman superhero directed by Patty Jenkins who happens to be the first woman to direct a superhero film with a female protagonist and one of only a handful (a literal handful… you can count on one hand) to direct a superhero film at all. They are setting it up to fail so they can say “I told you so” and not only continue the blatant sexism in the film industry but blame it on Patty if the movie fails, setting female directors up (whom are already told they won’t get hired) so they can have an excuse to say “Oh well, we tried hiring a woman to direct a film and it didn’t work. Lets not do that again.” This film is bigger than just being a superhero movie… It has the ability to bust open the glass ceiling of Hollywood to tell them that yes, superhero movies about women do well and yes, women can not only direct blockbusters but they can do it well. Because I can guarantee you, Patty does it well. PLEASE spread this around and let Warner Brothers know we aren’t going to stand for this bullshit. GO SEE WONDER WOMAN JUNE 2nd!!!

You aren’t a failure because you haven’t found fame and fortune by the age of 21. Hell, it’s okay if you don’t even know what your dream is yet. Even if you’re flipping burgers, waiting tables or answering phones today, you never know where you’ll end up tomorrow. Never tell yourself you’re too old to make it. 

Never tell yourself you missed your chance. 

Never tell yourself that you aren’t good enough. 

PLUSES

1) Usually amused by stories about Warlocks

A fine quality in a comrade.

2) Really good battlefield distractions

Eager to punch stuff. Makes it easy to strategically retreat. Encourage this. 

3) Very easy to fool with loaded dice

Don’t believe in cheating. Delicious.

4) Willing to make and lose the same bet over and over

Impressively stubborn. I even heard some idiot thought he could outrun a Golden Gun.

5) Require little combat maintenance outside of gummy snacks

Save them for when you need them, otherwise you’ll go through a lot of snacks.

6) Good drinking buddies, bad at drinking contests

They always think they’ll win, right up until the point they pass out. Equally amusing to see people try to drag a Titan in full plate out of a crowded bar.

Surprisingly good dancers.

MINUSES

1) Overeager to sacrifice themselves for the City

No one is asking you to die, okay? Stop offering.

2) Won’t shut up about walls

Shut up about the Walls already.

3) Less fun when they learn about the loaded dice

Try to get a head start.

4) Difficult to outrun in a straight line

5) Take everything way too seriously

Also, prone to grumpiness without gummy snacks.

DO:

1) Use stereotypes to your advantage

Most Warlocks think and act as though they know everything. The more you behave like a depraved, sociopathic murderer, the more a Warlock will feel that their preconceptions have been vindicated. You could probably use this for some benefit outside of comedic effect, but then you’d have to spend more time with them. Watching them squirm is usually worth it.

2) Act the strong, silent type

Don’t speak at all. Just stare through them. Makes them really uncomfortable, and less likely to start randomly talking about quarks. Also, it makes them think you’re paying attention when you’re not, which is useful, because listening to a Warlock lecture you on quarks is enough to put you to sleep. No one wants that.

3) Talk endlessly about your cloak, and how much better it is than their stupid robes

Pisses them off to no end, but we all know who’s got the superior wardrobe. Nothing says “hero” like a dashing cloak.

4) Offer to play the knife game with them

You know the one. They have a thing about fingers, though. And about not losing them. It’s good to instill a healthy dose of fear in your compatriots. The more they think that you’re willing to chop off your own fingers to beat them at something, the better.

The exception is Ikora. Don’t play the knife game with Ikora.

DON’T:

1) Be too nice

Some Warlocks are quite friendly. Others are even useful. Never let them know it.

2) Give straight answers

If you do, they start thinking they can tell you to do stuff. Never say “Yes” to anything. Preferable responses include:

3) Ask them a question unless you have a lot of free time

I saw a skeleton in the Cosmodrome once; had a sign hanging off its chest that said: “I asked a Warlock about quarks.”
