PLS DO A LORE DROP FOR YOUR REALLY PRETTY PINK HAIRED GIRLIE TWST OC! IM BEGGING YOU!
SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL! AGHH
SO PRETTTTTYYYYYYYYY!
Your art is a masterpiece. I love it so much.
Thank you for liking my art! Since I received other asks regarding her, I'll answer all of them in this post.
Her name is Cantarella, and she is a fae who is part of nobility. She is a third-year student who was sorted into Pomefiore for her convictions. Once she forms an opinion on something, it is very difficult to change her mind.
When deciding on which club to join, she settles for the mountain lovers club because of her love for nature, and more importantly, because there is only one other member.
Although she seems impassive, her attitude is largely caused by her being in NRC and surrounded by boys. The society she was raised in is matriarchal, and it is very rare for men to be in the presence of polite company back at home.
She is the first child of her family and has several younger sisters, all who live with her parents back in their homeland, Circelle Isles. Out of all of them, she has the greatest animosity towards men.
She actually meets Lilia first, a period spanning centuries before they both enroll into NRC. He comes across her one night when he stumbles onto the gardens of her family's estate.
They would then meet up frequently in secret at night. Cantarella, always confined to the grounds of her home on the account of being sick, and Lilia, finding respite from his duties.
They come to grow fond of each other's company, and although romantic feelings bloom between them, nothing comes out of it.
This is because Cantarella stops showing up to their meetings. By the time Lilia decides to look for her, he finds that she and her entire family have vanished from the estate.
Cantarella once had a younger sister who had a human fiance. When any woman in her family marries a non-fae, they can and typically will undergo a ritual to split part of their life with their partner so that both of them can live the rest of their lives together.
This has caused many humans to pursue the hands in marriage of the women in her family, hoping to lengthen their own lifespans, and Cantarella vehemently opposes her sister's union because of this. As a result, she gets poisoned in small doses by her sister's fiance.
When the poison finally comes into full effect, she is plunged into a long and deep slumber. With no one to get in the way, her sister moves on with her plans on marriage and shares part of her life with her human partner, only for him to abandon her after being granted extra life. Heartbroken from not only being lied to and but also abandoned, she takes her own life.
Stricken by tragedy, her family immediately returns to the safety of their homeland, away from prying eyes and danger. They only manage to find a way to wake Cantarella centuries later once the poison's effects have also weakened, and by then the memories of her life before have become so faded, that she can only feel rage towards the man who caused her to miss out on centuries of her life, and who was responsible for her sister's death.
So much has happened without her knowledge, and having been affected by the poison for so long, she isn't in full control of her magic as someone her age should be.
Her prejudice towards men only grows, and it becomes so intense that her parents finally decide that they have to step in. To solve both this problem and her lack of control over her powers, they throw her into the deep end, forcing her to live in an environment with just men, which is when they enrolled her into NRC.
Cantarella's unique magic, "Kindred Spirit", allows her to assume the physical attributes of any humanoid she's laid eyes on before. However, if she for example takes on Jack's form, she does not also inherit the strength that his muscles actually have, so the physical traits she copies are only appearance related.
She uses this magic when she first steps foot onto NRC for about a week to make herself appear a bit more plain and average to get a more honest assessment of the people around her. After reverting to her original form and getting different (better) treatment from nearly everyone, this strengthens her resolve to not change the way she already perceives men.
The reason her ears are always covered is to conceal one of the more obvious factors that give away the fact that she is a fae. She understands that her life-sharing ability is very attractive and even if this ability isn't well known by the people around her, she still feels the need to keep it hidden.
She takes special notice of Rook after she removes her disguise. Out of all of the students, only he really treats her the same as he did when he first met her. He showers her with the same amount of compliments and sees beyond her new appearance.
She is initially perplexed by him, but slowly warms up to him when she sees how frank and straightforward he can be. She does feel something for him, though she doesn't like to acknowledge it as she's seen firsthand how a romance between a fae of her kind and a human can end in tragedy. So, whenever his compliments start getting a little too forward or flirty enough to fluster her, she runs away by using her unique magic to disappear into the crowd.
Upon her enrollment into NRC, she also reunites with Lilia. He's initially skeptical of her identity, given that he had thought she was dead for centuries, but his doubts are cleared when he witnesses her use her unique magic. He's elated to see her, but Cantarella, having been asleep for so long, doesn't remember him.
This doesn't deter Lilia, and he tries his best to restore their relationship by constantly approaching her. This means that he also gets in between her and Rook often, much to the latter's dismay.
While he hasn't made their past relationship public, Diasomnia is aware of Lilia's feelings and has been informally enlisted (mostly because they were harassed by Sebek) to assist where they can. This leads to Silver often referring to Cantarella as his mother in front of the other students (and most importantly, Rook).
While Cantarella is troubled by this, she can't deny that being around Lilia also stirs up some old feelings inside of her, even if she can't remember why.
So despite not remembering Lilia, the sense of familiarity and nostalgia she feels around him causes his presence to not be entirely unwelcome either. She particularly finds it difficult to keep him at arm's length when he's always so warm and forthcoming with her.
Lilia finds it amusing when Silver calls Cantarella his mother despite not having told him to do anything of the sort, and he leans into it, sometimes even encouraging it.
As for her relationship with the other students, she is also rather close with Epel. He's the first student she starts a conversation with in NRC as he bears a striking resemblance to her late sister and because she initially mistakes him for a girl. Despite the misunderstanding, she comes to see him as a younger brother, and the latter starts seeing her as an older sister.
She also gets along with Jade. She finds him tolerable when she first meets him despite his being a man, as he's just as polite to her and well-behaved as men are required to be when they speak to women in her homeland.
Initially, she only reluctantly joins the mountain lovers club because she won't have to be around a lot of other students, but she eventually starts finding Jade's company more than agreeable.
Although Jade enjoys teasing people and whatnot, he treats Cantarella differently because he finds it important to be liked by her. This started off as simply wanting to keep her around in the club, but gradually changes into something else.
Another reason he becomes very fond of her is he has come to strongly associate her with the club activities (often bringing up his ideas on what they should do next each time he sees her). This has led him to grow rather possessive of her, worrying that she might be poached by another club. Quite a few students avoid Cantarella because of this, as they don't want to deal with Jade in the case he sees them together and misunderstands.
On one occasion where she has lunch with Ace and Deuce, Jade invites himself along and causes the two first-years to have a rather uncomfortable meal.
While Jade's scaring away all the guys who approach her may seem like something Cantarella would dislike, she actually appreciates it as it means she has to deal with less men. Unfortunately for Jade, though, his scare tactics aren't effective on Rook and Lilia.
She was originally supposed to be based on Kaa like Psyche is, but being my first twst oc she's undergone so many changes that she's practically unrecognisable from her first version. Now, I like to say that she's twisted from the poison that was infused into the apple given to snow white, as her name is also the name of a poison.
I want to explore more of her past with Lilia and how they got close before they were split apart, though I think it'd also be nice to see her and Jade interacting on a deeper level once the latter has grown comfortable enough around her to be emotionally vulnerable.
Thank you for reading all of this if you've made it this far. Your interest in my oc means everything!

If I had a nickel for every piece of media I’ve consumed where there was a character who was one of the worst, most unprofessional therapists I’ve ever seen who kept yapping about pop psychology terms instead of actually knowing what they were talking about and giving horrible advice as well as flirting with their clients and being evil creatures. One of them was a demon, and the other one who knows but I don’t think he’s human. I would have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice
