Summary:

Kim opens his front door slightly. All he sees, at first, is an oversized bouquet of sunflowers and daisies in a clear vase. There must be two dozen of them, hiding the face of their carrier. Then, messy black hair and brown eyes emerge from the side of the bouquet. “Chay?” (Or: Chay gives Kim his first bouquet of flowers.)

In the summer between his first and second years of university, Porchay becomes a concert photographer for emerging superstar, WIK.

Written for @kprecfest Creator Prompt for January 14th: Recommend someone else’s work by creating a new fanwork for / inspired by it!

Ever since I laid eyes on @mayykith's artwork, I've been desperate to write something about one of them. I started this story weeks ago based on her piece, "Kittisawat Anthology," which is a beautiful snapshot of both brothers spending an afternoon together. I decided to finish and post it today for the Creator Prompt. Thank you, Mayy, for creating such lovely works for the KP fandom! And for always inspiring me. (Though, I apologize, Mayy! This story is a little sad, but the ending is not sad!)

Summary:

Porsche watched his younger brother’s eyes glue onto the acoustic guitar in the window display, and he watched them snap onto the price tag before they hastily moved back to looking straight ahead.

(Or: A glimpse into Porsche's life as he struggles to make ends meet and support Chay's budding musical interests.)
