I should just go with my instinctive response… What happens instead?

I got a message from a good friend a little while ago:

“I’m taking (name removed for privacy) to the village hall at 2.30 as there’s a cream tea on. Do you fancy joining us ? We ll only be there an hour at the most I think . If not I’ll come over to yours when I’ve brought irene back to her house xx”

How lovely is that? My first thought ‘ooooh that would be lovely’ 😊 A while later I replied with:

Wish it was true for all the good people I have known.

I pressed pause to see every message and it’s scary. I’ve had these thoughts, all of them.
