So I’m reading that Time After Time has been cancelled and like…I’m actually pretty pissed about it?

I mean, it’s a good show, and it’s one of the only time travel shows on right now that’s doing the science part fairly well. The characters are likeable and the plot is intriguing.

It seems like it’s coming down to ratings, and I think that’s not fair because, well, what the fuck did you expect to happen, ABC? You put it in the Sunday 9pm time slot against shows like Walking Dead (or Game of Thrones, upcoming) and you’re surprised that the audience didn’t immediately come rushing in? Give it a sec to gain some traction, geez.

Why can’t they just move it to a different day and let it finish the season? And they’re replacing it with a game show? This blows. I hope they at least plan to release all the episodes they pulled.

Literally so heartbroken! It was the first show my sister and I have bonded over in a long time and it gave us something to talk about.

There actually is a petition going atm, but it is aimed at ABC. I know Netflix has saved shows before though. What do you gotta do, right them? Like if enough of us write?

I know it's a shot in the dark, but ABC has a number you can call to give feedback on all of their shows. If enough of us call and say how we want the rest of the season to air, (or how upset we are that it was cancelled), it could make a difference. The number is (810) 460-7477, press 1 2 2 then 846 for Time After Time. You have 30 seconds to leave a message, so make it count! At this point we have to try everything.

Interesting, never knew about this. Publishing as a signal boost!

Well, I just heard. And damn, the cast found out through twitter? 😟 I don't know what say. Do they give shows a chance anymore? The could at least air the remaining episodes.

They sure could, but apparently they wont. A lot of people are upset.

More than anything else, not even having the decency to tell the cast before announcing the cancellation to news outlets is a punk move on ABC's part. It's really disrespectful. Also, it can't even air THE EPISODE IT PROMOTED before pulling the plug? Crap moves all around.

Yeah. It’s seriously so wrong on all accounts. Very bad form. Like really now? Really... Really. I feel so bad for the cast and crew working so hard to put a great show together and then be tossed aside like nothing.

I know, salt doesn’t even come close to my anger. Like, wth ABC. You coudn’t even air the episode you PROMOTED for Sunday and then say this was the final episode? You couldn’t even tell your own CAST? Like, there are a million better ways to cancel a show, and it doesn’t include canceling it on a Wednesday afternoon 4 days before the next episode and letting the cast find out on Twitter.

I have no idea. They said they have no intention of airing them. So idk if that means only on network tv and they would release them for free online or what. Idk the rules of the trade. :(

Time After Time Cancelled

TVLINE: Time After Time is probably wishing for a time machine of its own right about now: ABC has pulled the H.G. Wells/Jack the Ripper drama from its schedule, effectively canceling the series.

Match Game will air this Sunday at 9/8c — at Time After Time‘s usual time — and for the following two Sundays, the network announced in a press release Wednesday.

Time After Time thus far has been averaging just 2.2 million weekly viewers and a 0.5 demo rating, while the first half of Match Game‘s sophomore run was pulling nearly 3 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in the Wednesdays-at-10 slot, where it enjoyed a solid lead-in. Its freshman run, airing Sundays at 10 last summer, performed even better.

An ABC rep tells TVLine that at this time, there are no plans to return Time After Time to air.
