Timbr costs $700 per week?

So... turns out, running Timbr is expensive! Google Cloud bill for the first week was $700 (around $400 for the compute on AppEngine and $200 for the traffic to serve all the media). I'm optimizing the service to make it more sustainable and hope it will be under $500 per month.

I'm also starting a Patreon page (pending approval). I planned to postpone Patreon to the time when Timbr is more useful, but I really can't maintain it at such a loss.

And come on: Timbr is the one that already exists and you can see it: https://www.timbr.me. And I’m adding posting/liking/reblogging functions right as we speak (hopefully released this week).

My adult Tumblr blog was only partly imported by the Dec 17 cutoff. When do expect to be able to let us log in to Tumblr import of the rest of the blog now that it's designated private?

Blogs seem to still be syncing slowly even after the cutoff.

What features do you currently have and those that are being developed (queue, likes, reblogging, etc.)?

Posting text and pics, likes, reblogging should be ready soon.

Why were you suspended on twitter?

I have no idea. Trying to find it out.

Is there in future a 'archive' function on Timbr in order to check quickly the own collection ? The 'archive' disappeared now in tumblr.

Do you still need my API key if I’m already able to log in on timbr? Sorry I’m not knowledgeable about these things

Yes. The key will be used to log in other users.

An API key is not bound to your user and doesn’t give access to your data directly. It just allows us to access Tumblr at all.

In moving my Tumblr here, its been stuck on Dec 12th. Is that just because of high traffic?

Just to be sure ... when Tumblr ceases to exist ... I can see my profile on Timblrxxx automatically ... that is see my likes, and the profiles I'm following and my followers? or should I take any action beforehand? Thank you

Use the login feature on Timbr to log in with the Tumblr account. We’ll be saving follows and likes slowly.

Are you only able to back up your blogs? Or can you back up blogs that you like as well?

Tumblr blocked my blog before it finished uploading to Timbr! :( I ran out of time and it only uploaded a couple months. Will there be any way to upload the rest in the future - through logging in and retrieval of the private posts? Or am I just out of luck?

Yes, working on that. Btw, I believe syncing continues even after the blockage. Do check on the progress once in a while!

With the changing to timbr.me the synchronization seems to start again new. Something wrong here.

Shouldn’t be the case. The date displayed may be off. All posts that had been saved should be still there.

I get the message today: Blog has been synced (oldest post: December 13, 2018) - the avatar now gone. One day before it was synced to November 27, 2017 - with the old avatar. Started sync new and the older postings gone now ?

All posts that were synced already don’t disappear. The date may be wrong, it’s a bug that only affects the date displayed :(. You can browse back and see old posts. I’ll try to get the dates right soon.
