it’s been about 6 days or so since that night. I’m totally over it I think. I’m carrying mountains of groceries, mostly because I’m a hoarder and second because my feed has been filled with meal prepping videos. A baguette is threatening to face slam me.
I stuff my hands onto my sleeves at the cold evening air. Today has been filled with meetings about my new books release. Everyone is praying that it does well.
I tumble a bit around the puddles, the paper bags I’m holding, threatening to crack.
Suddenly as I fix an onion I see a figure. Doesn’t ring a bell at all. Nothing familiar about them-
Then he steps beneath a flickering streetlamp.
Dark hair.
Black hoodie.
Hands shoved deep into his pockets.
Both of us raise our eyes at the same time.
“Heeseung?”
Except he looks awful. Dark undereyes, shoulders so tense, clothes wrinkled. Bruises everywhere. His hair is a mess too and he looks very unalive. I gulp.
“Fuck man” he mutters.
I turn around immediately.
He made it pretty clear he didn’t want anything to do with me after that day. I hesitate in my step tho. He looks exhausted.
I should just ask him if he’s okay….
I turn again. He isn’t walking anymore.
“Are you okay?” I peek at him.
“Go home” he mutters under his breath then wince. He starts walking again, it’s clear his he doesn’t know where. It’s like he’s looking around.
I sigh.
I shouldn’t talk to him after all that yelling. I’m so embarrassed too.
“Do you have somewhere to stay?” I say, I picked that much out.
“I’ll figure something out” he says. His eyes feel a bit restless.
“I have a couch” I grab his sleeve to stop his steps.
“No”
“Yes. One night” I say. he looks down at me. His eyes are tiredly looking into mine before looking away again.
He genuinely has no where left.
“…one night” he says. I smile, big grin and stuff some groceries into his arms.
-
The way home was awkward kinda. I keep talking to fill the silence but as the nonchalant guy he is, he doesn’t answer. He’s very tired too.
“I bought too much toothpaste” I beam, but a little awkward.
“…”
“I have extra clothes you can borrow. My little brother left stuff once. Only if you want” I bite my lip gently.
It’s cold today. Mid January is lot for the weak. When the chilly breeze comes by, it nips at the tip of my nose. I scrunch up, cheeks getting all pink. It’s the kind of cold that really makes you regret not putting on another layer.
I glance at him. His steps are a little limp, his body a bit tilted, and his jaw is tight like he has a constant headache.
He’s not as attractive as he normally is.
We reach, the apartment building. It’s newly made, clearly. Not keys, no, it’s codes to get in. Long long halls of freshly polished floors. White walls, with rose gold lining. Even a little private gym.
None of it registers. His attention drifts to the number displayed above the entrance.
He knows that number.
His brows knit together.
No…
He follows me inside without a word, eyes flicking from the hallway signs to the apartment numbers lining the walls.
Every step feels slower than the last.
It can’t be. His pulse pounds once against his ribs. Then again.
I stops in front of a door. “Here we are.”
He barely hears me. His gaze stays fixed on the silver numbers screwed into the wood.
The same building, The same floor, The same apartment.
The address sitting in the file on his laptop. For a second, he wonders if exhaustion is playing tricks on him.
It has to be.
Of all the buildings.
Of all the people.
“…Heeseung?”
My voice pulls him back. He blinks once before forcing his expression flat.
“…Yeah.”
His eyes linger on the numbers one last time.
The target he’d spent days tracing through databases, public records and dead-end searches…
…had just invited him inside.
“What’s your name. Never got it”
“Bomi Kang”
Fuck.

I’ve crashed at an old friends place, Jake. It’s an old garage, smells like dust and metal, a comfy couch in the corner. Tools are hanging neatly along the wall
We befriended each other back in my teenage days (Heeseung is 20)
Similar backstory, trauma and activities, different personalities but same mind at times. We naturally fell a bit apart, kept in touch but each had our own lives. Who would have thought I’d find myself hiding here, hiding from an alley I always ‘owned’.
The soft tapping of keys fills the room as I stare blankly at the laptop in front of me.
Jake has been watching me for the past ten minutes.
“I still don’t get what you’re doing,” he finally says, setting down the mug he’d been sipping from. His hair sticks out in every direction. “Like… on the computer. Finding information about someone?”
I don’t answer immediately.
“…Yeah.” He leans against the workbench.
“Who?”
“It’s some girl, named Bomi Kang.” I shrug. “Nothing to do with her, apparently.”
“Apparently?”
I sigh.
“Her dad worked under, you know… Victor Kwon. Did a hell lot of shit for them.”
Jake’s expression changes ever so slightly.
“He wanted to leave after years of working there. After getting a daughter.”
“And Victor just… let him walk?” Jake snorts, I give him a look.
“The company naturally declined. They wanted to keep him because he already knew too much.”
Jake nods slowly.
“Makes sense.”
“He didn’t budge.” I rub a hand over my face. “Copied their documents. Took their evidence and disappeared.”
“The evidence?”
“The company’s identities. Financial records. Their operations. Enough to bury them if it ever got out.”
Jake lets out a quiet whistle.
“So now they’re trying to find him.”
“They’ve been trying for years.”
“And they think the daughter knows something?”
“They don’t know.” I shake my head. “That’s the problem.” The garage falls quiet for a moment.
“Manuel explained it briefly.” I glance back at the laptop. “Said I just need to find him through his daughter.”
“Shit a mess, okay so a girl is getting dragged into this” Jake chuckles, his brow raises.
“Nothing will happen to her. I just need to get in contact with her dad, track where he is. And I’ll keep her out of the mess meanwhile. And besides, she doesn’t know her dad”
Jake studies me for a long moment before picking up his mug again.
“You sound like you’ve already decided she’s innocent.”
I scoff. “She is.”
“Haven’t even met her.”
“…No.”
I close the laptop with a quiet click.
“I haven’t.”
“Anyways Jake, I’m happy you let me stay over. But I need to get going” I say gruffly, my jaw set.
“Why man? I’d let you stay, you’ve already been here for 3 nights” Jake laughs like he genuinely doesn’t get it. He plops down beside me.
“Exactly. It’s too much, the alley knows we are friends, they’ll at some point get suspicious where I am man”
“You idiot, you think I care? We have always been in the same boat. The alley is my place too” Jake says defensively
“I care Jake. I’ll find somewhere else. It’s better if I keep moving” I flicks my lighter and light my cigarette. The flame looms over my face.
“Whatever man, just send a text if necessary” Jake laughs.
I give a brief nod. Dap Jake up and leave.
“I’ll miss you bro” Jake shouts with the biggest possible grin. I shake my head with a hint of a smirk and leave.
I ordered doordash when I came home. It was utterly humiliating to be yelled at, I realized. I stretch out my body across the couch and decide crying is embarrassing after exactly seven minutes.
Eight is pushing it.
So I wipe your face with the sleeve of my hoodie, sniff once, and tell myself he’s just… dramatic.
“Ruined my life,” I mumble under my breath, the couch beneath my face damp from talking into it. “Bit much.”
As I lie for a moment more, the doorbell rings and I open to get my food. I light up very fast when I stuff a bite of fish cake into my mouth, sauce smudging my lips.
“Oops” I say and wipe the stuff away.
Maybe I should also stop chasing men. School felt like a hellhole because I always expected to at least date around and hook up, but when the time came along, all the boys dodged me, and magnetised to every other girl. My friends constantly bragging about boyfriends and body count and such while I couldn’t even get to talk to a boy. Now out of school, I’m trying just as hard to find the perfect one.
Cafes? No I tried
Tinder? nope it was scetchy
Now alleys? Well no
I suddenly get a notification
Unusual activity on your account
I glance for a moment, then toss my phone, I always get these type of notifications.
I stuff yet another bite into my mouth as my head spins with ideas for my new children’s books. Characters, universes, moral, hidden gems in the books…..
Maybe a wolf this time, a cold, quiet one.
And a cheerful duckling that mistakes him for family. Hm.
That could work-
Ding!
A new contact has been synced to your account. If not known, block and report
Eh?
My phone buzzes again. I don’t even look this time. It’ll be another security notification. It always is.
Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.
Whoever keeps trying to log into my accounts is probably more frustrated than I am.
Good luck.
Half the time I can’t even remember my own passwords.
I finally pick up my phone. Sign-in attempt blocked.
Another notification slides in before I can swipe it away.
Someone requested access to your account.
“…Weird.”
I decline it without thinking and lock my phone again. People on the internet are strange.
The fish cake disappears far too quickly. I stare into the empty container like it’ll magically refill itself.
“…Tragic.”
With a dramatic sigh, I carry everything into the kitchen before wandering back toward my bedroom, notebook tucked under my arm.
The first page is already filled with messy ideas. A lonely wolf and a stubborn duckling. I smile to myself. Tomorrow. I’ll start tomorrow.
Outside, rain taps softly against the windows. Inside, my phone lights up once more on the coffee table.
I grab her wrist and run towards the first exit I can reach. Upstairs. A million thoughts are running through my mind as I reach the creaky staircase. I shove her in front of me, my hand is iron clasped around her wrist, it might even stop blood flow.
“Move,” I mutter lowly when she stumbles.
“I am moving!” She whispers back, breathless, nearly tripping over her own feet again. The situation hasn’t fully clicked for her yet. But despite that she still follows.
Chairs are scraping against the floor and glasses of dark beer are being thrown. Sharp sounds of broken glass everywhere. I hear the click of a gun, I know that sound too well.
The upstairs is dimmer, I look around. not much time. It looks unused, only some wallpaper peeling off the wall and a long hallway with flickering lights. I drag her towards the far end of the hallway. My boots hitting the ground as I look for a room that isn’t locked.
Locked….locked….LOCKED
My hand turns a handle. The door creaks open. I have no mercy just hauling her into the small cramped room. It’s dusty and it’s dark. I click the door into a lock. She sits down kinda frightened, but still thinking shes so very safe in my presence. I know better
“Get up. They’ll be he-“
BANG BANG BANG
loud shouting, and a bunch of sweaty bodies colliding and slamming into the door.
“Hee what’s happening????” She blinks. I suddenly just lifts her up, my hands wrapped around her body, fingers curling into the fabric and backs to the door.
“Trust me” I whisper roughly, nothing about the sentence seems to be a caring love confession. With that my feet slam hard into the wood and into a run. I turn toward the window. The thin, dusty glass rattles in its frame from the pounding at the door behind us.
Another slam.
The wood splinters slightly.
“No no no!!! are we-“ she starts, her voice pitching up.
“Yes,” I cut in flatly.
And then I run.
Fast.
Too fast.
Her breath catches as the room blurs, her hands instinctively grabbing onto my jacket, fingers bunching the fabric as my arm tightens around her to keep her in place. My heartbeat is steady against her….too steady for someone about to do something insane.
The door behind us cracks and Voices surge.
“THERE!”
I don’t look back.
Three more steps.
Two
“One”
CRASH.
The window explodes outward in a burst of glass and cold air. I twist mid-fall, turning my body so her back never meets the ground first. My grip doesn’t loosens, if anything, it tightens, arm braced around her, shielding, taking the impact.
She land in the snow beside me.
“Oowf” she lets out from the breath being knocked out.
There isn’t much time where we are laying there before I drag her again. I’m constantly hearing that agitating noise of her teddy shoes squeaking as she runs. I’m easily annoyed…clearly. And this is giving me as much of a headache.
The wind gushes into the dark locks of hair, that is slightly damp from sweat. My hand is gripping her arm again, making sure she’s actually following.
One second we’re running, the next shes being swung behind a dumpster, in a filthy corner. I sits beside her,, but after I hear a gun shot I pull her into my lap, covering her with my jacket and body. Yep, from outside you can’t even see her balled up figure covered by my body. I can feel little unsure giggles into my chest, ones that feels like vibrations from being engulfed.
My hand is tightening around her head.
“Shut. Up” I mutter .
The voices wear down to the point of silence…I use my foot and nudges away the dumpster slowly, my jacket scrunches as I let her out like a fly from a jar. I stand up and brush my pants down, I’m pissed. Really fricking pissed.
“What is it?” She murmurs.
I stare into the ground for a moment before turning to her. “You should go, like really go” I groans, my fists ball up.
“But I…I haven’t even been here for long”
“Long enough to ruin my life. Go before I yell at you. You know what kinda mess you put me in?”
“I didn’t do it on purpose” she peeps out.
“I know, that’s why you should leave before I get mad at you”
“But”
“Shut up! Please leave, I’m not joking freckles. And don’t come back. This place was never a place for you to fuck around. YOU GET IT?! My patience is thin as a veil, please leave this mess.”
My voice comes out sharp, sharp enough to make her eyes water. Do I feel an ounce of guilt? Hard to tell. Her face scrunches up crying hard now.
“I mean it” I say sternly…and with that she waddles down the street away from me. No giggles. “And stop crying, you were never supposed to be here”

“oh shut up!” Heeseung slams the printer. He gets his documents and files that he printed. And crush the leftover paper between his fists. He kicks the printer when suddenly he hears a squeak. Wait..WAIT.
He looks behind the printer and just as he feared. I’m there?
“Hi :)”
“Stop. Following. Me” he growls as he looks around the library for an escape, while clutching his papers, papers that I’m not allowed to set eyes on. I peek a little.
“I’m not” I giggle a bit sitting behind the printer. Obvious reason was that I had to place my new set of children’s books I just wrote in the shelves and by coincidence he was here too.
I had every reason to stay away from his business, away from problems and from an alley filled with danger. But I had one flaw that stood out. A sense of obsession and attachment. The kind that choose a person, picked them out, turned their life upside down. And when I was attached, I was ATTACHED.
“Yes you are…stop it” he grabs me by the arm, nails digging into my skin. He doesn’t wanna hurt me, but he wants me to know that he could. But I just look up at him.
“The way I’m literally not! I work here sometimes” I frown, genuinely defensive.
He rolls his eyes and pushes
me, walking out the library.
-
Later he’s by Hour Jackpot, inhaling the cigarette and exhaling yet another puff.
I’ve been around the alley for some time, standing by the bus stop earlier swinging my legs and waiting far longer than necessary before realizing, with mild disappointment, that buses don’t run on the first of January. So now I’m wandering home on my own two feet. I notice his face from miles away, the presence of him is totally easy to spot, cold, stern, nonchalant and annoyed. Just totally eye catching for a girl like me. He looks totally unapproachable but to me, I’m dragged to him. It’s impossible to miss.
My steps slow down, feet carrying me closer as if they’ve already decided where I’m going. The closer I get, the more pronounced everything about him becomes, the tension in his jaw, the way his gaze drifts over the street without ever really settling, and the way his brows are a little lower as if he’s calculating something. The glow of the cigarette briefly illuminates his features, sharp and severe, before the light dies again. I hover at the edge of his space, not close enough to touch, but close enough to be noticed. He doesn’t look at me at first, yet the subtle shift in his posture gives him away. He knows I’m there.
He finally turns his head, eyes sliding to mine. He doesn’t say anything. Just kinda waits for me to speak. Me with little to no hesitation dart over to him.
“I just wanted to know your name, really” I grin with your hands clutched together in front of me. I sparkle, little notes of fabric softener and candy invading the smoke, and a hint of warmth already radiating around him.
“It’s not Alex right?”
“Surely not. Heeseung” he eyes me…
“You want me to ask what your name is?” He runs his tongue around his teeth. I notice how he angles his head just slightly so the smoke doesn’t drift directly at me.
“What’s the Helix Shipment, Heeseung?” I grin, All up in his face. I don’t answer his question.
“First of all, stop inhaling my exhale. Second, none of your business” he replies. He badly wants to push me away but decides to let me do what I want. Because part of him is so done and annoyed, another is amused.
“Third, how come you always find your way back to me”
“I’m curios. I wanna know about you. My life has been boring.” I giggle.
“Why do you like me honestly?”
“You’re kinda hot, and like totally off limits, and you are fun to like…annoy” he sees my little eyes disappearing as I smile.
“Idiot” he smirks slightly but realizes and looks away, throws his cigarette and steps on it, crushing it and smearing it on the pavement before he, hands in pockets, walks away. If I follow or not is not his problem.
His boots crunch in the snow, leaving a trail of footsteps, and right behind is another trail of little footsteps. I’m stuffing my mouth with marshmallows, talking about how they freeze in the cold whether.
He opens the back door of Hour Jackpot, invading the casino. It swallows him whole the second he passes through the door. Men and noise. It smells like beer, old money and sweat. heavy and familiar. People are sitting against each other around the round tables as light casts over them. He has dragged in a pound of snow, he shakes it off tho. He doesn’t slow down or look back at me. I tumble after him, little steps, curios and enlightened by the fact that I’m in a criminal zone.
“Heeseeuuung,” I call, voice bright and stretched, half-laughing as I jog to keep up. My steps are quicker now, almost hopping. “You’re very fast!”
“Is this a casino! I wanna try too. We can be a team” I light up.
He doesn’t react. Doesn’t even glance over his shoulder. His pace doesn’t change.
I huff, offended, then try again—louder this time. “Heeseung! Hee! Heeseung!”
Nothing.
He weaves between a group of men near the bar, shoulders brushing past them without apology. I nearly lose him, my feet cant keep up. I grin.
“Alex!”
The name rings out, clear and careless.
The effect is immediate.
Conversation stutters. A laugh dies halfway through someone’s throat. Glasses pause midair. Like a switch being flipped, heads turn, one by one, toward his back.
He stops.
Just for a fraction of a second. Barely noticeable, but deadly. Slowly, he turns his head.
I’m still smiling, entirely pleased and proud with myself, oblivious to the way the room has sharpened. I don’t see the recognition sparking in people’s eyes, the way a few men straighten, the way hands drift closer to pockets, waistbands.
And working under Victor Kwon’s company was one of the worst decisions of my life.
But at sixteen, it was also the smartest.
Bystander to a crime network. The brain, The point man. I plan, I move, I keep everything undercover and safe and lowkey
SLAM.
A pack of white powder hits the table.
Another.
Another.
Another.
“Alex West?”
My eyes drag toward the man speaking. A worker under Victor Kwon’s company. I push the drugs aside and shovels the pile of money I won.
“Drop the undercover name,” I say. “The Helix shipment’s over. I’m over. My work is over.” I look up. “I’m Heeseung, sir.”
“Alex West is your reputation,” the man says calmly. “It stays as long as this is business. I’m Manuel.”
I scoff.
“South Pier. Midnight. Something to discuss… my friend.”
A card slides across the table. Another phone number.
Did I mention I hate people?
By the time I leave the alleyway’s casino, Hour Jackpot, it’s almost midnight already. The name always annoyed me. Something about it being so corny and inaccurate always felt a bit… intentional.
-
She didn’t mean to get lost… right?
The South Pier at midnight is quiet in a way that presses against her ears. Metal creaks under the weight of pressure, water laps lazily against the wooden planks, and the smell of salt and rust hangs thick in the air. Shadows stretch long and thin, hiding things that she doesnt want to see.
23:55. Im early, five minutes early. Just enough time for a cigarette and a slow drag of silence before chaos hits. I flick the lighter, watches the flame flare, and then….squeak.
A single squeak of shoes on metal.
Oh, for fuck’s sake.
There she is. Hopping around, chasing a rat, “exploring” the dock like it’s a playground. Her matching teddy bear jacket and shoes painfully out of place.
She bounces forward with a squeal of excitement… and BONK!
Not a wall. My chest.
“You don’t know what you’re messing with, do you?” My voice is low, deliberate, dangerous. A groan, a warning.
She tilts her head up, grin wide, completely unbothered. I’m already reading it, already annoyed.
“You again!” She beams, defiance sparkling in your stupid little eyes. You haven’t moved a SINGULAR step back
I press two fingers into her forehead, shoves lightly. “You need to leave. Let me remind you where you live, because that brain clearly is washed. Alley, near the dock, here. Convenience store. Got it?” I say completely expressionless. “That way”
“I took the dangerous route!!!” She looks up at him through her little lashes, she somehow stepped closer in the process.
“Okay… seems like a you problem. Go. Or in two minutes, you’ll be dead.”
Why did I say that? Now she’s staying. One hundred percent.
She doesn’t move. Not an inch.
“I’m serious. Go right now before I yell at you.” I glance around. Manuel could appear at any second.
“I kinda dont wanna, watch me stay here!.”
My eye twitches. I dont want to touch her. I’d probably evaporate into glitter if I did. But instinct takes over. I grab her shoulders, shoves, turns, pushes… and she tumble into a trash can.
Jesus Christ.
She starts complaining about it hurting.
“Holy shit, you’re such a crybaby.”
Ah, for fuck’s sake. I haul her up, dragging her to the next street. I don’t have time for this, no patience, no mercy.
“I’m not gonna apologize. I warned you, freckles.” Sharp. Mocking. Cold. Not comforting, not sweet.
Back at South Pier, Manuel is waiting, leaning casually against the edge, smirk sharp in the dim light.
“You remember this place?” Manuel sneers. “Helix shipment. The day a failure was born… Alex.”
I stiffen.
Helix shipment. The day I failed. The day I stopped trusting anyone. The day everyone wanted me dead.
“You know those documents? The blackmails? The results? DNA, blood, secret info, all the answers our company was one minute from achieving? Until you failed. Until your plan… your perfect plan failed-“
“I’ve been reminded, Manuel.” I cut him off, voice flat, lethal calm. Done.
“That company was nothing but a waste of my time. I was their slave. I was everything they dreamed of. And you couldn’t accept that. You couldn’t accept that I was the only one good enough to make that shipment even happen-“
Gun. To my forehead.
I smirk very slightly. Unshaken. Calm.
Click.
Movement in the shadows. I see her eyes peek from behind a container.
“Hey! Stalker! Are you out of your mind?” I storm over, grabs her under her armpits. She dangles, feet swinging, staring straight into my face, or maybe chest.
“I was just… hehehe,” she grins like a gremlin. “Maybe listening.” She barks out.
“Are you drunk?” I hiss, completely serious.
“You know her?” Manuel cuts.
I tilt my head, dangerous calm. “Barely. But she’s… everywhere.”
“Whatever… nice talking to you. You know the company hasn’t forgiven you, right? Every guy with a gun in the area is after you?”
“I’m aware.”
“And one last thing, I have a little mission or job or whatever you’d call it, for you. Help me and I’ll help you. Won’t tell a soul about where you are. Not even Victor Kwon. And, I’ll make sure your name isn’t in the company, like your existence was never there, meaning if the police is ever after you, they’ll never know. You have my number. You in?” Manuel eyes, I give a nod, a short flick of a nod like I’m holding back.
Manuel leaves.
I glance at her. She grins. Dumb, oblivious, infuriatingly fearless.
“I’m backkkk. Couldn’t find these!” She holds up some keys.
I freeze and let out a look.
“Who are you?!”
I drop her. She tumbles to the ground.
“Did you hear everything?” My eyes cut into hers, sharp and dangerous.
“Yeah? But I barely understood it!” She grins.
“Are you following me?” I tilt my head a little with a frown, makes her whole body flutter at the attractive expression, I see it, how shes a little more restless and excited.
“Maybe”
But as Manuel rounds the corner, his black polished shoes glides on the wet pavement. He takes out his phone, puts it to his ear.
“Boss…we have a target. She seems to follow him. His attachment.”

Ever wondered what a criminal and a girl the personality of a duckling have in common?
Nothing.
10 p.m. — what a shame. And a waste of perfectly good cigarettes.
Heeseung leans against the cold wall of the alley, expression stern, detached to the point of cruelty. He fishes out a stack of phone numbers and ticks off three.
Deals.
He tilts his head slightly, ears catching something before his body does. The squeak of shoes. Then a giggle, so bubbly it almost kills him.
A shadow darts past the alley entrance and suddenly there I am. Tiny. Too tiny. Not enough to actually fit in his pocket, but close enough to make him consider it. He’s never been so tired of somebody the second he lays eyes on them.
Then a high-pitched voice comes out of me and it pulls at every nerve he still has left.
“Hi.”
Worst of all, I didn’t hesitate. Not even for a second. Just walked up to the first criminal I met. He hates people. And oh….he hates me even more.
“What?” he answers flatly.
I giggle.
He exhales a cloud of smoke.
“I followed a cat in here and now I’m lost!!!” I grin, totally bright, totally fearless, totally his problem. Unfortunately.
“So why don’t you turn the goddamn corner and find a likeable person,” he mutters.
I beam. He sighs.
“Where do you live?”
I ruined his peace.
“Near the… dock!” I grin. “Close to a convenience store.” Giggle. “In an alley.”
“That way,” he leans slightly and points to a narrow street. “Is longer. And safer.”
Then he jerks his thumb behind him, toward a street that looks like the way to hell. His cigarette dangles.
“That one though, is shorter. And more dangerous. So go with the first.”
My little teddy shoes wander straight toward the second.
“Idiot,” he mutters, tossing the cigarette. “I said, go with the first.”
I turn back, blinking at him.
“But wasn’t it my choice?” I tilt my head, so the stupid hair flails.
“You wanna die?” His jaw tightens. “When I tell you to go the first route, you go there.” A pause. “Whatever. Do as hell wants.”
I suddenly giggle and dart down the safer street.
“I was just joking, Mr. Why so feisty?”
He watches me go, then looks away, annoyed.
“Mhm.”
That’s the last thing I hear before I squeak away.
OMG, I’ve not been posting for forever. I’ve worked on something tho. Something very different 😭 it’s a series fanfiction with Heeseung. Maybe I’ll post it !

You and Jungwon got together in NOVEMBER, ONE month ago!
Of course it was not normal for you to be sleeping in the same bed already, let alone with the same blanket.
You were in a trip with you and his friends, also how you two even got together, because you knew each other through friendships.
Now you may ask how you got together while we are at it. Long story short, Jungwon and you, fake dated for a while to prove to his friends that he wasn’t a loser that couldn’t pull b*tches. But it was all till, you both fell a little too hard for each other. He kissed you out of nowhere one day, confessed and then you started dating. Now of yours or his friends knew, it was now your little secret.
And now you were forced to share a room, a bed, and a blanket. It wasn’t like you didn’t like Jungwon, you loved that guy, but he was more like a very good friend, with a whole lot of benefits. A lot, and also maybe a big fat crush. And yes you loved him, you wanted to marry him one day if it was, but you were just taking things slowly.
The whole day had gone by smoothly, having a good laugh with Jungwon, make dinner together, also with Jay if anyone were wondering. And overall you guys were all giggly and a little love sick with each other.
But going to sleep on the other hand, you twisted and turned in the bed, Jungwon was facing you, but it wasn’t all kinda awkward. Jungwon though, was all comfortable with you, nothing weird or awkward about the situation, he liked, loved, you too much to even notice it.
And just as he was about to sleep, his eyes about to fall shut. You whined.
“STOP stealing my blanket.” You whined, he was simply too big, his shoulders too broad for sharing a blanket.
“Hey! It’s not YOURS, it’s OURS.” He said back as he pulled the blanket.
“Hmp.” You huffed. “You will have to come closer if it really is.” He mumbles and pulls you closer into him. He pecks your lips, one, two, three times, making you a blushing hell. But he fell asleep in less than a minute after that. His eyes fluttered shut and his nose scrunched once in a while.
~~~
Waking up the next day with him snuggled up to you, his nose stuffed in the crook of your neck and an arm slung around you tightly. His embrace was everything and more, comforting, heart melting and protective. You thought to yourself, maybe it wasn’t that bad after all, and nope you do you regret anything.
You maybe even wanted to share a bed again another time, all the time.
You were FINALLY moving into jay’s house, after being together for three years and having a perfect and healthy relationship. This had to be the best damn day of your life. And you regret nothing when you accidentally confessed your feeling for him in high school, when you were talking in the phone with your good friend, saying how much you were in love with him. Who knows how your relationship would be if you didn’t get caught and didn’t live your teenage years with him.
You were now out shopping for things and food to put in the apartment. You were scrolling around the cart, slightly bumping into Jay here and there and he would just chuckle at you while sneaking a hand around your waist.
“THIS ONE!!!” You held up a jellycat plushie that you have been wanting for a lifetime.
“Please Jay, buy this for me.” You gave him your best puppy eyes. Jay was damn rich and no doubt he could pay for the entire store.
“We are here for food love.” He laughs at you, everything about you is hard to resist.
“Please Jay, it even looks like you.” You plead him. Showing him the little plushie while swinging it side to side.
“I am not paying.” He rolls his eyes but with a smile on his face.
~~~
Guess what…he still payed. Because who was he to say no to you. You were irresistible when it came to pleading someone.
~~~
You were walking up the stairs with a big box in your hands, you swore you could lift it all the way to the apartment. You were literally arguing with Jay about it. And at the end he gave up and slowly walked behind you to make sure nothing happened. He sighed.
You could feel your arm give up and your whole body tensing, your arms and fingers curling into the box, but before you knew it, you had dropped the box, you tried catching your breath.
“Hey are you okay? imma take it now.” he picked up the box in his arm and walked the rest of the way while still making sure you were with him.
~~~
The work was done, the apartment was ready and Jay wiped a hand across his forehead before wrapping his arms around your waist while putting his chin on your shoulder. Lightly kissing you. He was wet and sticky from sweat.
“EW, get away, you are all sweaty.” You giggle trying to wiggle out of his grip.
|here ya go, maybe it is kinda cliche, but I have a thing for that🤭
Sunghoon engulfed you in a hug as soon as you stepped into the school grounds, even if he knew it could get him detention if someone caught you dating. But tbh, did Sunghoon even give a f*ck about that? truly, no.
He pulled you to sit with him, you saw your desk filled up with love letters after love letters. It made you all giggly inside. You were about to give him a kiss but the teacher stepped into the class and you took all of the letters and stuffed them into your backpack.
~~~
Later on the day, by the cafeteria, he watched you from a distance, completely ignoring anything else, he was melting just by seeing you.
“You are simping.” Jay announced like it wasn’t the truth in the first place. Jay’s fork swung side to side while he held it in between his fingers.
“Mhm, I know, hear it everyday.” Sunghoon let out a completely droopy smile.
“I bet.” Jay stated.
You caught Sunghoon looking at you, you gave him a quick smile with your nose scrunching, he melted, like literally melted, he fell down on the table with his hands in front of his face, while blushing like a school girl.
“Simp, no other comment.” Jay sighed.
~~~
His ice hockey match was today, this had to be the best day in his life if he could just impress his girl.
He came scooting with the ball towards the goal. “This one’s for you Y/n” he shouted just loud enough so you could hear it, even if he didn’t mind people knowing that you were his.
And the ball went in like expected from everyone. He threw the hockey stick, took off his helmet and ruffled his hair. Skating across the rink to you before giving you one big of a hug.
“Mwah mwah.” He kissed you cheeks even if the teachers were nearby.
“You are such a simp.” You giggle.
“Yes, I am a simp for you, and I am proud of it!” He lifts you up slightly and kisses your lips.
|here ya go✨ it was a little late and rushed but hope you enjoy.
Lunch break at your work was definitely short, but still Jake, your boyfriend whom you met at work, was already on his second plate. You were completely filled up, and couldn’t swallow another bite. The break would end in 2 minutes so you would have to be quick.
“I can’t eat more Jake, and I have to be finished in like two minutes.” You sigh.
“Let me.” He takes the plate and begins to shove the curry into his mouth.
“What about the drink?” He tilts his head while halfway taking the drink.
“Not having another sip of that.” You put a hand over your stomach. He takes the drink and takes one big sip from the straw, almost chucking half of what’s left.
“Don’t you think it’s disgusting drinking from the same straw as me.” You chuckle.
He stops in his tracks.
“No…why would I, sweetie, I kiss you everyday…MORE THAN ONCE.” He chuckles at you for saying stuff like that.
“Oh…OH YEAH.” You laugh.
He interviews your fingers and leads you back to your desks.
~~~
“Jake could you help me with this.” You walk over to his desk asking him about one of the things you are currently working on.
He looks at you with and gives you a smile while taking off his glasses.
“Sure, come sit on my lap sweetheart.” He lets you in his lap while he explains the techniques and other stuff. Suddenly your other colleague comes over, Riki.
“Y’all do not need have to be needy with each other. It’s disgusting to look at, we are at work.” He says with a disgusted look.
“Mhm.” Jake only says while keeping away a laugh from forming, by stuffing his mouth into the crook of your neck.
Hii! Can you do 6 and 14 with Enemy Heeseung?(>3<)
| Here it is!!!! Sorry it took some time, I don’t know why it turned out so long 😭😭😭
How good was your luck now, huh? Getting put together with your so called enemy for chemistry project was not on your bucket list this year.
Dang it, you hate Heeseung so much for being so charming.
“Let’s find an empty classroom to work in.” He walk over to you, taking your wrist in his to drag you out of the room.
“Hey! Let go of me you idiot.” You pull your hand back, but his grip is still too strong.
“Can you shut up for one second.” He glares back at you before pulling you into an empty classroom.
You sit down by a table to avoid him. He takes the seat right next to you.
He takes the sheet of paper out of your hand, makes a quick turn with the pencil and then begin to answer the questions.
“You are making it wrong” You mumble.
He groans at it “oh yeah then tell me about it.” He shoots the paper back to you.
You begin to ramble on about the correct methods and other stuff. Heeseung puts a hand under his chin while staring at you, when you stop he suddenly speaks.
“Damn you’re practically a nerd.” He chuckles.
“Like you are much better yourself in math.” You side eye him.
“What the heck.” He sits back up.
“Yeah everyone knows that you are a math ne-“ You get cut off when he puts a hand over your mouth.
“Shh, there are teachers out there, they can’t hear us.” You whispers.
“Are you saying that we can’t be here.” You whisper.
“Yeah exactly.” He takes his hand away from you. Seeing you being quite a blushing mess.
“Anyways gotta go.” He grins walking away.
“What why?!” You shout.
“You want me to stay?” He says.
“No.”
“That’s what I thought.”
~~~
“HEESEUNG!” You tell running into the classroom next morning.
“Yeah?” He says sitting at his desk as you are about to sit beside him.
“God help me, I know you hate me but please, can I copy your homework.” You say, running out of breath.
“I haven’t made it.” He says.
“We all know you have, you are better at math than the teacher himself, please Heeseung just once” you plead giving him your best puppy eyes. He acts out a disgusted look, but deep inside he is giving in already.
“Mhhm, fine.” He blushes at your compliment.
“Omg thank you Heeseung you saved me.” You look all excited about it, jumping up and down on your seat.
“What do I get then.” He says.
“Mmmm what do you want?” You grin.
“A hug.” He smirks.
As soon as he says it, you jump into his arms, wrapping your arms around his stomach. He didn’t expect that at all but hugs back with a pink tint on his face.
“That’s it? Easy.” You pull away blushing.
“Actually one more thing.” He grins knowing what will come next.
“A kiss.” He says. You freeze.
“But-“ you get cut off.
“No buts, you copied my homework, now let me get a kiss.” He leans closer, and since you don’t pull away. He kisses your lips for about 4 seconds.
“That wasn’t that bad was it?” He smirks looking at your flustered face.
He crosses his arms on the table and lays down.
“Wanna go to my house after and let me teach you some math.” He grins looking at you. You don’t say anything.
