Kagami paused right from taking the first bite of his piping hot pizza. An indecent strand of cheese stretched out between him and his prize.

Dilated pupils once again fixated on the dog as he edged away, making sure to keep the pun-lover in between himself and the dog. “W-will you take him to Kuroko?” he said, voice squeaking with tension.

Izuki looked down at Nigou again before turning his attention back to the red-head, an amused look on his face. “You really are terrified of dogs, huh?”

“One tried to eat me in America,” he said solemnly, as if it was a common occurrence. “I bet Kuroko’s whispering ideas into Nigou’s head too.” Cold sweat broke out on his neck as Nigou fixed his attention on the ace.

“Huh? Horoscope? Did Midorima get you?” he asked, relieved when he saw that the canine knew that the point guard’s safety was more important than terrorizing the redhead. He scooted off the eagle and frowned, leaning in to have a look at the injured arm. “Should we go to a hospital? Or I can call Coach…”

The canine stole then his attention from the taller with enthusiastic barks that didn’t seem to match the blank look on its face, and Izuki crouched down to rub behind the little pup’s ear, cooing at how cute Nigou is. “Aww Nigou~ You giving Kagami-kun a hard time again?”
