This was a big year for FTH -- our tenth auction, and a big year in one other important way, too.

This year, we've got two big numbers to announce.

This year, thousands (yes, thousands!) of us showed up to share our time, talents and goodwill with one another and raise some money for our most vulnerable neighbors and the organizations that support them. Together, we supported the fights for trans rights, for immigrant rights, and for the rights of the disabled; we helped fund local journalism and local clean-energy advocacy; we helped feed the hungry, in Gaza and in our own neighborhoods around the world; and so much more.

But that's not all.

We knew there was no way we'd quite match last year's annual total -- everybody was motivated the recent election, and the damage of the new presidential admin was still in its early ramp-up. Still, we were hoping that enough folks would show up for FTH 2026 that we could raise a combined ~$70K, and push us to a major ten-year fundraising milestone.

As you can see, we blew way, way past that this year.

My Hero Academia Fandom Trumps Hate 2026

The @fandomtrumpshate online charity auction is back for its 10th year! This is a fantastic way for the fandom community to raise money for small, progressive non-profits.

We'd love to see auction and craft bazaar offerings from the My Hero Academia fandom!

Creators can offer fanfic, digital fanart, fanvids, podfic, fan labor (including beta reading and typesetting), physical fanworks in the craft bazaar, and more! Winning bidders will receive a gift in thanks for their donation to one of this year's charities.

Our list of supported organizations for 2026 is here. Over the next week, we'll be posting more in-depth profiles of each of these organizations so that creators and bidders can make thoughtful, informed decisions.

Yes, time once again to begin ramping up for our annual auction! This will be our tenth (!!!) year of mobilizing the power of fandom to make donations to vital progressive causes.

It's been a difficult year -- most of us are worn down and scared. But there have been some things worth celebrating, too. SCOTUS might be selling us out, but lower courts are consistently ruling against the Trump administration, throwing up meaningful roadblocks to his agenda and vendettas. In both New York City and Seattle, committed on-the-ground organizing helped two progressive mayoral candidates to victory, opening up new possibilities for those cities and inspiring progressives around the world. And all across the US -- especially in those cities that faced targeted violence from the government -- people stepped up to take care of their neighbors: with courage, love, community spirit, and in some cases a good dash of silliness.

In other words: it's not over yet. Not even close. We can't fix it by ourselves, but we can show up to support others who are doing the work, and show up for one another at the same time.

I regret to report that none of this is likely to be anything that anybody here actually wants, but here are a handful of bits and pieces that I think are all from 2025(?). --------------------

Izuku’s thoughts have always expanded organically—more like a thicket of vines than a spiderweb, but a bit of each.  One twist unfurls into another, and maybe from the outside it never seems like there’s much order to it, but it really does all make sense.  Ideas branch and part and twine again.  Everything is interrelated, and integrated, and if you just follow the trail of cascading notions for long enough, you’ll find something.

You know how sometimes when you reach for information in your mind, you know it’s there, but you can barely graze your fingers against the edge of it? And the shape seems fuzzy, and you can’t get a grip, and you’re squinting at shadows that won’t come to the surface?  It’s still there, but fumbling for it is frustrating, and you can’t see it clear enough to grab on tighter, and every time you stretch out, it slips away. And you start to think—hell, it’s not worth it.  If it matters, it’ll come back. If it’s important, I’ll remember.  So you let go.

That’s how Endeavor disappeared.

He’s got a shock of pale hair and huge gray-green eyes and a very pink, squished-up button nose.  He has ten tiny fingers and ten tinier toes, and his lungs work, and his mouth works, and his heart beats swift but strong.  He blinks, he breathes, and he didn’t kill his mother on his way out. Natsuo is a wreck, though. Rei isn’t too surprised.

Wingbeats [here u go for chapter one, a.k.a. the most divorced dad Enji Todoroki I am capable of and Shouto has never been sassier and I accidentally fell in love with pro hero Touya and bro there is SO MUCH OF THIS FIC 😂]

It takes Enji eight seconds to get tired of Burnin scowling at him from the seat beside him at the otherwise empty conference room table. “Out with it,” he says. The scowl deepens, but he knows she won’t equivocate.

Friends, this has been an extraordinary year for the auction. We know how and why this happened: like in early 2017, everyone is scared and upset and looking for a way to do something meaningful.

And—just like in 2017, and every year since—hundreds of us have stepped up to support our most vulnerable neighbors and the organizations working to protect them.

Except this year, we did it on a scale we've never done before.

The Rite Stuff (+ sequel Spell it Out) by @tierfal

This is part of a big group of Fullmetal Alchemist fanbinds I undertook in late 2024 and finished in February 2025 to send to the author.

The story is a magical AU in which Edward is a witch and Roy a vampire (Alphonse is a cursed shapeshifter who prefers to be a cat).

This design is absolutely one of my favorite covers I've ever done. The painting is "Cottage on Fire at Night" by Joseph Wright of Derby (c. 1785) and the design is inspired by an assortment of vintage gothic romance paperbacks (the kind with women in diaphanous gowns running in front of a castle, you know the ones). The title font, ITC Benguiat, is typical of dark, pulpy paperbacks of the 1980s, including a lot of the original covers for Stephen King novels.
