quidditch captain rivalry headcanons â theodore nott x ravenclaw!reader
theodore nott who⌠rolled his eyes so hard the day you were announced as ravenclaw captain, muttering to blaise that it was âa jokeâ but secretly felt his stomach drop because now his rival had a face he couldnât stop looking at.
theodore nott who⌠thought heâd be dealing with someone cold, calculated, respectful⌠not a sharp-tongued ravenclaw who told him to âlearn how to readâ when he argued about the pitch schedule, and something in the venom of your words lodged under his skin like a thorn he never pulled out.
theodore nott who⌠started making it a personal sport to scoff at you in every class, muttering under his breath whenever you opened your mouth, only to have enzo grin and whisper: âdonât stare so hard, mate, sheâll think you fancy her.â
theodore nott who⌠hated how your face haunted him mid-match, sweat slick, flushed, hair tangled, and how it made his brain short-circuit into the dirtiest thoughts heâd ever had in his life.
theodore nott who⌠got so red-eared after mattheo caught him zoning out that the boy leaned over on his broom during a game and snickered, âbloody hell nott, keep it in your pants and beat her team first.â
theodore nott who⌠threw his entire body into plays just to get the upper hand on you, chasing quaffles with brutal precision, only to glance back and feel his chest twist when you smirked like you already knew you were winning.
theodore nott who⌠secretly hated how the whole school adored you, the way ravenclaws chanted your name after matches, lifting you on their shoulders like some goddess of the skies, while he stood scowling in green robes with clenched fists.
theodore nott who⌠got weirdly turned on watching you boss your teammates around, snapping orders with that low sharp tone, like every syllable was a whip crack.
theodore nott who⌠made it his brand to mutter vicious little comments when you passed in corridors, close enough that his breath tickled your ear: âcareful captain, youâll trip on that ego of yours.â and then pretended not to notice how your pulse stuttered when you brushed his shoulder too hard in return.
theodore nott who⌠swore he despised you, but every time you smirked at him after scoring, he felt something burn deep inside his ribs that wasnât hate at all â it was obsession, and it terrified him.
theodore nott who⌠lit cigarettes under the bleachers after every ravenclaw victory, smoke curling around him like a storm cloud, pretending it was just about the loss and not about how badly he wanted to kiss the smirk off your face.
theodore nott who⌠sat in the slytherin common room, firewhiskey bottle in hand, neon green lamps buzzing, trying not to look like he was waiting for you to walk by the window outside â only for mattheo to chuckle, âmate, itâs pathetic now. sheâs in your head.â
theodore nott who⌠dreamt about you with the same flushed face you wore on the pitch, only the context was different, darker, messier â and when he woke up he told himself it was just hate. always hate.

The sun had set a few hours ago already and the cold quiet night gave you the perfect excuse to spend the evening reading in bed. The romance book in your hands was a nice distraction from a week filled with assignments and intense study sessions. Of course, it was when you were halfway through the spiciest scene that Theodore decided to disrupt your peace.
"Good evening, dolcezza. In bed already?"
He let himself in without even bothering to knock.
"Quiet night in."
"Can I join?"
Not waiting for an answer, he pulled the covers aside.
"No!" you yelled, seconds before he sat down. "Don't wear your clothes in my bed, please that's disgusting."
He didn't say anything, just smirked and took a few steps back.
You turned your attention back to your book when you heard the tell-tale sound of his belt buckle. You went swimming at the lake on warm days often, but still the intimacy of the gesture threw you off. You forced your eyes on the pages, ignoring what was happening in your room. Next thing you knew, the mattress dips and the cover gets pulled back. When you look to your right, Theodore is staring at you with the most self-satisfied grin you've ever seen on him. The cover hung low, dangerously so, and your eyes trailed down his abs to his lower stomach and you could see his hips and... Oh.
"Theo, what the hell? Are you naked in my bed?" you asked, more flustered now that you had to say it out loud.
"You're the one who said no clothes."
"Stop twisting my words and get out!"
But he didn't move. Instead, he just stared at the ceiling.
"You've never been curious?"
"About?"
"What I'm like in bed."
You scoffed in disbelief. He didn't let you answer though.
"I have. About you."
He looked back at you and you could see in his eyes that he was serious. You weren't sure if it was him or the scene you had just read that made you feel oddly warm.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean being friends with the hottest girl in Hogwarts comes with its fair share of questions."
"Did you strike out tonight? Or maybe hit your head somehow?"
"I'm just saying, tesoro. We've always had fun together, maybe we could have even more fun."
You'd be lying if you said you hadn't thought of it. Really you'd been secretly hoping for something. Not this. Never in a million years could you have imagined this. But after all, you were curious, and the alternative to that evening was words on a page and a vibrating toy. Might as well get the real thing.
You put your romance book down and sat on top of him before you could get a second thought. His smirk grew wider and his hands immediately found their way to your thighs. Through your nightgown you could feel how hard he already was.
"See? I knew you'd be down," he said with a too proud smile.
You leaned in, exaggeratedly grinding your hips against his. It shut him up instantly. A hushed groan escaped his throat, replacing his snark remarks.
"Thing is," you said, making sure your cleavage was inches from his face, "how could we still be friends after that? You ghost everyone you sleep with."
"You're different, dolcezza." His hands roams over your nightgown, slowly pulling it up your thighs. You firmly hold his hands in place, rolling your eyes at his obvious pick up line.
"Cut the crap, Nott."
He laughed lightly. "y/n, you're my favorite person in the world, I would never ghost you." He stared back into your eyes with a solemn intensity. "I swear."
He intertwined his fingers with yours.
"So this wonât change anything between us?"
"Not a thing," he confirmed, shaking his head.
You pretended to think about it for a minute, as if sitting on him this way hadn't already convinced you a long time ago.
"Fine," you agreed with a detached shrug, "that way youâll give me feedback on the stuff I can get better at."
You winked and he laughed lightly at the formality of it all.
"Do you want me to write a full report too?"
"Itâs not mandatory, but it would be encouraged..." you teased as you leaned in again. "Got anything important tomorrow?"
He frowned. "No, why?"
You closed the gap between your lips and his neck, biting his skin to leave a faint bruise. His grip tightened at your hips, strong enough to give you a matching mark. You'd never thought you'd get to mark Theodore Nott as yours. All the jealousy you'd felt came rushing back, but now it tasted like satisfaction and victory. Even if one night didn't change anything, for you it meant winning over any conquest he'd had. You traced his neck with your lips, kissing his jaw until you were face to face, closer than you'd ever been before. His eyes dropped to your lips and his opened slightly on instinct like this was always meant to happen. Your heart skipped a beat and you could see in his eyes that his did too.
You sat back up, grabbing his shoulder to pull him up with you.
"What about that part?" You asked in a hushed voice. "Would that be crossing a line?"
He smirked. "I know you wonât be able to resist, tesoro."
You pushed him back down, refusing to give him the pleasure of being right. You wanted to pretend to be vexed, but your hands couldn't help reaching for his torso, tracing the defined lines on his stomach.
"Is that your idea of foreplay?" he asked as his fingers trace the inside of your thighs, sending a shiver through your core. "You started off well, but I might have to change my review."
You knew exactly what he wanted you to do but you gave in anyway. You trailed kisses down his chest and let your tongue tease his length before wrapping your lips around his cock. Your movements were slow and deliberate, earning a gasp from Theo. You'd never seen your best friend let his walls down like this. It was intoxicating. You pushed him, all of him, until you could feel him in your throat. He grabbed your head, tangling his fingers in your hair. You wanted all of him, and you needed him to feel how much you wanted it. He could barely restrain the way his hips shot up, and he made no effort to control it when he heard how it made you moan. You didn't expect to like it so much, but he had a way of making you want more. He forced himself to stop, his hips slowing down.
"Come back up, dolcezza." His voice was rugged.
You kissed his chest again on your way up. Before you could catch your breath he had already taken your nightgown off, his hands possessively roaming over your body.
"So you want feedback?" he asked in your ear as he locked an arm around your waist. He pulled you close, his other hand closing around your breast.
"You need me to tell you how perfect your tits are?" He brought his fingers to your jaw, brushing over your lips softly. "Or tell you that your perfect mouth did everything right?"
You couldn't help the whispered moan escaping your lips as his hand dropped from your hips to your ass. He leaned in closer, his lips tickling your ear as he spoke.
"Are the praises turning you on?" He pulled off your underwear with one flick of his wrist. "Or is it because Iâm the one saying them?"
His fingers found their way to your core in a heartbeat. You couldn't contain your moans anymore. You tried to fight back, not wanting to give him too much satisfaction hearing how good he was making you feel, but it was useless.
"Donât hold back those pretty moans now, dolcezza." His strokes were deliberately slow and deep. Oh so deep. "Theyâre making this so much more fun."
With a third finger he got a loud, sinful sound of pleasure out of you and you could feel his smirk in your neck against your skin.
"Good girl. Taking it so well," he whispered in your neck before letting his tongue tease the spot under your ear.
You felt like you were on fire. Your skin was burning against his, sweat clinging and legs going numb. Slowly, he took back his hand and brought his fingers to his lips.
"Fuck, you taste amazing too." He held you tightly against him, barely containing his hips when your body made contact with his. "Is there anything you canât do?"
"I donât know," you said, sitting on top of him. You were determined to earn those praises. "You tell me."
You straddled his lap and took his length inch by inch slowly enough to make him lose his mind. He threw his head back and his hands dug into the flesh of your thighs.
"Something wrong?" you asked with a barely contained smirk.
He looked up at you with adoration in his eyes.
"Wrong? y/n this is heaven."
As if on cue your hips picked up their pace. You felt vulnerable completely exposed on top of your best friend, naked and at his mercy. Yet the way Theo looked up at you made you feel like a goddess. Your disheveled hair cascaded over your shoulders as you arched your back and leaned in, feeling him hit just the right spots. This was so much better than a quiet night in. He sat up, meeting you halfway to bury his head in your cleavage, kissing every inch of them. His tongue danced along your skin and made you shiver. Tension built in your stomach and your eyes fluttered shut at the sensation. Just on time, Theo pulled your hair. You gasped as you came undone on top of him. His hips shot up in slow movements to let you enjoy every last second of it.
âTheoâŚâ you started, out of breath and not sure how to continue your sentence.
You barely had time to catch your breath before he flipped the two of you over. His eyes never left yours.
âI love my name in your voice.â
You felt him deeper before you could add anything else. His strokes were deep and measured just enough to make you feel your sanity slipping with every single one. Any book you could read would pale in comparison. He bit your earlobe, and his pace quickened again. There was no point in hiding your moans anymore. You were his, utterly helpless against how good he kept making you feel. Above your moans he said your name in the most sinful way you had ever heard. Youâd never be able to get it out of your head. You lifted your hips, the effort making you clench around him. He threw his head back and you knew that it did the trick. When he looked back at you, his eyes had a tell-tale exhaustion glinting in them. He kissed your jaw with a tenderness you didnât know him capable of and your fingers stroked his hair with a matching softness. His hips slowed but your held on to him, wrapping your legs tighter around him.
âStay a bit longer.â
âGetting soft on me already?â he whispered, inches from your face.
The soft light added gold flakes to his eyes. You couldnât help looking down at his lips again. You knew how he tasted now but you wouldnât know what his lips felt like?
He kissed your forehead with reverence and slowly pulled back before settling next to you.
Of course this wouldnât change anything between you two. You both agreed it wouldnât. Maybe it was just the ecstasy of the moment still coursing through your veins that made you think otherwise. You closed your eyes for a minute, enjoying the fresh night air rolling over your still burning skin. A soft touch over your stomach sent shivers down your back. You opened your eyes to see Theodore pulling you towards him, an arm resting lazily around your waist. You put your head up against his chest, taking advantage of the closeness for a few more minutes. You knew it wouldnât be long before he left.
âSo how did i do?â you asked lightly while tracing patterns on his skin. You hoped that the running joke would distract you from the knot forming in your stomach. You wished you didn't have to let go.
He looked back at you with his brows furrowed.
âWhoever made you think you needed to change anything is the biggest idiot on earth.â
You looked up to see his stormy eyes fixated on you. You didnât have time to ask what he meant. His lips crashed against yours and they tasted like everything you didnât know you needed. His tongue danced against yours, teeth teasing your bottom lip. He brought fire back to your skin with just one kiss.
"Can you stay tonight?"
"I was hoping to stay longer than that."
Rain started tapping at your window and the soft sound muffled both your whispers as you spent the night tangled in your sheets.

The roar of the crowd shook the stands, echoing through the brisk afternoon air as Hufflepuff and Slytherin clashed on the Quidditch pitch. Gold and green streamed in every directionâflags waving, students shouting, adrenaline pumping.
You could barely keep your eyes off Cedric. He was in his elementâhair windblown, expression focused, circling overhead on his broom like he was born for it. Every time he dipped, dove, or soared upward, your heart climbed with him.
And yet⌠your gaze kept slipping.
Across the pitch, higher in the sky, Theodore flew like a shadowâelegant, precise, cold in his concentration. There was something so different about the way he played, as if the game wasnât just about scoringâit was about watching, waiting, predicting. And as much as you tried to focus on Cedric, your eyes found Theo again and again.
You could feel it in the way Cedric gripped his broom when he spotted Theodore across the pitch, smirking like he knew something Cedric didnât. You could feel it in the glances Theo shot toward the standsâwhere you stoodâlike he knew exactly where to look, and who would be watching.
He always did that.
It had become a bit of a thing lately. Theo catching your eye in the halls. Whispering something just loud enough near you to get Cedricâs jaw to clench. Smiling lazily whenever he saw the two of you together like he knew it bothered your boyfriend . That was the fun part for him.
He even teased you sometimes. Soft jabs. Playful digs. A wink if Cedric was watching. And you always responded the same way: a scoff, an eye rollâbut never pulling your gaze away too quickly.
They were going at it, Cedric and Theo, darting near each other, trading sharp words that didnât reach your ears but lit fire in their eyes. The rivalry was obviousâdangerously close to boiling over.
But then something shifted.
There was a snap of panic from the Slytherin end, a yell that didnât sound like cheering. A Bludgerâa rogue one, missed by the Beatersâwent soaring in the wrong direction. It wasnât heading for the players.
It was heading for you.
Fast. Too fast. It cracked off the bat like a cannonball, aimed straight at your section of the stands.
Your scream caught in your throat as you froze in your seat, the sound of the crowd dulling instantly. You had no time to react, no time to move.
And then there was movement. Fast, reckless.
Someone slammed into youâhard.
Pain and chaos exploded around you. You heard the sickening crunch of bone against wood, the thud of a body colliding with the stands, gasps echoing across the pitch. Someone had knocked you down with them, knocked the wind out of your lungs, but not alone. A warm body cushioned the fall.
The weight shifted. Groaned.
And then you saw him.
âTheo?â you breathed.
He looked⌠wrecked. Face pale, one arm curled protectively around his ribs, the other bracing himself against the wood. He was bleeding from somewhere near his temple, and his breathing was shallow.
âFuck,â he muttered, voice slurred. âDidnât think youâd just... stand there.â
âWhatâwhat are you doing?â
He rolled off you with a wince, one hand gripping his ribs.
His eyes fluttered open, dazed. He focused slowlyâon you.
âYou okay?â he rasped, voice barely there.
âIâme? You just got knocked out of the sky!â
You sat up slowly, trying to piece it together. The crowd was still in a frenzy, players circling above, Madam Pomfrey rushing to the scene.
Your heart ached. âThatâsâWhy would youâTheo, why would you do that?â
He didnât answer right away. His gaze lingered on your face like he was searching for something. Then he muttered, âDidnât think about it. Just saw you. Moved.â
You were too stunned to reply.
By the time the professors arrivedâMadam Pomfrey barking orders, Hooch shouting for spaceâTheo had already tried to stand and failed. When they lifted him onto a stretcher, you noticed Cedric flying across the pitch to you, looking completely shaken. He didnât even glance at Theoâhe looked straight at you.
âAre you okay?â Cedric grabbed your shoulders, eyes wide. âI saw the Bludger hitâdid it hit you?â
You shook your head slowly. âIt hit Theo. He got in the way.â
Cedricâs brow furrowed. âTheo?â
You looked over your shoulder, where Theodore was being taken by professors, blood drying on his brow, jaw tight, and eyes⌠watching you again.
You didnât answer.
Because Theoâyour boyfriendâs enemy, the boy who barely even acknowledged you in the hallsâhad just taken a Bludger for you. With no warning, no words, no reason.
You stayed until the game ended. Cedric went back up to finish the matchâthough his heart wasnât in it anymoreâand you stood in the corner of the stands, numb, trying to make sense of what happened.
The Slytherin common room was buzzing.
Low light flickered against the cold stone wallsâgreen flames dancing in the fireplace, enchanted lanterns floating overhead. Students lounged on emerald couches, drinks in hand, laughter rolling like waves. Someone had cast a charm on the ceiling to mimic a night sky, and stars glittered above the party like a dream.
They were celebrating, of course. Slytherin had beaten Hufflepuff in a brutal matchâthough the win was shadowed by the moment everyone remembered, Theodore Nott taking a Bludger to the ribs like it was nothing, just to push someoneâyouâout of its path.
You werenât supposed to be here.
Cedric didnât even know youâd slipped away.
You told yourself it was just to say thank you. That you should. That it would be rude not to. He did throw himself into a Bludger for you, after all.
Somewhere near the middle of it all stood Theodoreâshirt slightly untucked, a bandage wrapped tight around his ribs, and a thin sheen of sweat still clinging to his brow.
You spotted him before he saw you. Leaning back against the wall like he hadnât just been hit out of the sky by a rogue Bludger.
Mattheo was beside him, clearly tipsy, laughing at his own jokes while Theo smiled that lazy, half-interested smileâthe kind that didnât quite reach his eyes.
But the moment he saw you, it did.
His head tilted slightly. Eyes sharpened. Smile twisted.
Mattheo followed his gaze and let out a sharp laugh. âYou have got to be kidding me.â
You walked up slowly, ignoring Mattheo entirely.
You crossed your arms, fighting back a smile. âYou look terrible.â
âStill better than your boyfriend on a broom.â
You raised a brow. âYouâre celebrating?â
âWe won, didnât we?â he said casually, though he shifted slightly, clearly uncomfortable. The pain was still there, hidden under charm and bravado.
You glanced down at his side. âYou shouldnât be standing.â
âYou shouldnât be walking around without a bodyguard,â he shot back, quieter now. âBut I fixed that, didnât I?â
Mattheo made a dramatic noise. âIâm going to get another drink before I start gagging on this tension.
He walked off, not-so-subtly smirking
Theo raised an eyebrow. âDidnât think youâd show up at the victory party.â
âI didnât. Just came to find you.â
That got his attention. His smirk slipped, just slightly. âYeah?â
âI wanted to see how you were.â
He gave a mock gasp. âConcerned about me? How scandalous.â
You rolled your eyes, but your lips twitched.
âSeriously, thoughâ you added, voice gentler. âThank you. You didnât have to do what you did.â
âNo,â he said, suddenly sincere. âBut I wanted to.â
You stepped closer. The lantern light caught in his hair, made his features glow gold and green. âYou couldâve been really hurt.â
âWouldnât be the first timeâ he muttered, then paused. âBut it wouldâve been worth it.â
That silenced you. You looked at him, this boy who Cedric hated, who always knew how to get under your skin, who teased you to rile your boyfriend, who still jumped in front of a Bludger without thinking twice.
You leaned in and kissed his cheek.
Soft. Quick. Careful not to touch the bruised side of his ribs.
He went still.
And when you started to pull away, he caught your handâwarm fingers curling around yours like he couldnât help himself.
âStayâ he said, quiet. Vulnerable.
You hesitated. âTheoâŚâ
âI wonât say anything dumb. I justâstay.
You hesitated, heart pounding. Everything about this felt wrong. And yetâŚ
You looked at him, your heart doing terrible things inside your chest. âIâm tiredâ you whispered. âI just wanted to say thank you.â
He held your hand for just a moment longer, gaze locked on yours.
Then he whispered, so low only you could hear.
âYou know i donât hate you right?â
You didnât answer
But your fingers lingered in his just long enough to say something else entirely.
