SPOILERS! THE VAMPIRE LESTAT EPISODE 4 THOUGHTS AND THEORIES!!
DEVILS MINION FOLK RISE UP!!!
I really liked that one a tiny step down from 3 but definitely more developments I liked. This is a very Queen Of The Damned episode for Lestat's storyline. This post is obnoxiously long lol.
First let me start with my depressed boy, Monsieur Louis Du Pointe Du Lac. What was that Danny said in s1?? "Still paying a whore to sit in a room and talk with you."?
So we have Lily in NOLA, then Daniel in SanFran, then Daniel again in the genocidal soulless capitalist hellscape Dubai!
I am genuinely worried for Regina take that money and ruuuuun faaaarrr away. Louis! Go. To. An. Actual. Therapist!!!! Or better yet call Daniel or Lestat! Like this can't be healthy like one vampire mental breakdown at a time please, I have a feeling this is how we get the scene from the trailer which leads to a Claudia haunting Lestat.
Also the scene of Louis watching Lestat floating in stage lol.
Now to the Devil's Minion of it all. It was crumbs, a taste, a sip, a dribble but it was DELICIOUS!! I know Rolin and Co said that we'd get more of the turning and past DM in season 4, but not am I enjoying what we're getting now.
I loved seeing how everyone stops existing when they are around each other. (Also confirmation on my old theory from ep 1. Armand is stalking Daniel).
But the mention of how many times Daniel relapsed and the broken marriages. Idk how much he knows or remembers, but he doesn't know how right he is that it was Armand.
"It was love!"
Now Armand being the only one getting more mentally stable is going to be interesting when the Queen comes. I am also insanely worried about what Lestat means by he did the bigger damage.... I have an idea I'll save it for the theory section.
Either way I have a teeny weeny feeling that stability isn't staying for long if a certain someone (who was mentioned entirely to much this episode) comes back around.
Okay what fuckery do we think Armand did to Alex? He seems good now but idk what his little mind erasures he did would help. But that look he gave him, calling him a god. Oohhh I have an interesting theory about that.
Also Armand teach your fledgling some tricks please he's desperate.
Now to our beautiful, show pony with a personality disorder, Lestat! He is definitely not okay. Showing more of his and Gabis past, the subtle grooming (the lyrics taught me to kiss), the abandonment issues! Well-done guys!
Now I still don't like the writing around Gabi (her fucking accent, it's better this episode but still parts of it are grating), but I feel they brought the essence of her personality from the books more compared to the last few episodes, the coldness, the slight aloofness, her push and pull with Lestat it's much better this episode. The last scene was chefs kiss! 😘 💋 (Ohhh I have an excellent theory on that regarding the books in the theory section!!)
But Jesus I am terrified of her in the last scene like you can feel she's the vengeful being the ones in the Amazon fear. This should have been her all along.
I loved seeing more of Joseph Potter, so yay Nicki haunting, but him writing Marius, Gabriella saying his name again. I fear for what's coming next episode and especially in episode 6 (if dear screener is to be believed).
Now going back to the Lesmand crumbs, "the French Bengali smoke show" I love that even when Lestat is mad he can never say that he isn't dreamy. And Armand baby control yourself, generous endowment really?? 😂 😆
Now Lestat saying that leaving Louis to be with Armand was a punishment and would annoy Louis. The bravado is interesting because even then he's acting like he didn't punish himself. Remember Lestat, you were in a run down shack, with a wooden emotion support keyboard, feasting on rats brought by your worrisome suddenly vanished fledgling?? (I need to know what happened Felix?? Like is he dead?? traipsing around the garden with a motorcycle gang cus he looks like the type.)
He's so much in denial I want to know what will happen when Akasha wakes and the denial has to vanish. When everyone finds out more of the truth about him... Especially Louis.
THEORIES!!!!
I have loads today!! So Buckle up people!
Theory 1: Okay so I didn't mention this one since it didn't seem likely, but I thought they would mostly pull for Lestat from The Vampire Lestat, Queen Of The Damned and maybe Tale Of The Body Thief. But now I definitely think they are adding from more books.
For the plot and the end scene with Gabi I definitely think they are doing aspects of The Prince Lestat. Which if the goal is 5/6 seasons it makes so much more sense for that to be the ending as they can't actually get into all the books. But my friend mentioned something that Lestat's narration feels bitter, compared to the actual TVL book, which reminded me that most bitter version of Lestat's narration is Blood Canticle.
So I think we are getting an amalgamation of the various versions of Lestat in the all the books to end at prince Lestat.
Do here's what I think Rolin and Co have done::
-TVL + QOTD for backstory and major plot. (Self explanatory)
-Memnoch and Atlantis for his psyche and mental state (the paranoia, the visions etc) [also if they plan on going back to his past in Auvergne and especially the monastery they have left themselves a wide open room with this "he sees visions" from the monk in ep2, the mention of religion and prayer and this makes me happy.]
-The Prince Lestat and Blood Communion for the later story, to link to Gabi and Marius and the underlying plot with Akasha. (The vamps saying he sings for the, the shooting and manifesto.)
-Blood Canticle, Memnoch, TPLestat and QOTD all mixed together together for personality and narration style. (Slight bitterness, a tad show boaty, rushing through what he deems unimportant etc)
I might be wrong but if the plan was to have aspects of all 13 books in here ending with the Prince and Blood Communion it makes sense we are already seeing versions of different books being brought forward already such as Merrick for Louis. This way without having 13 seasons (I wish 😭) we can cover most of the Vampire Chronicles in its truest essence and spiritually have completed story.
So since TPLestat is the technical sequel to QOTD and BC is the last books we need to get the story in a much more limited time. So I love the idea of using Gabi to push Lestat into becoming the Prince as early as they can. I am assuming with how they are introducing Marius and the mention of Pandora this is they way they can introduce them to push Lestat since it ultimately ends with him.
Theory 2: Alex gets part of the Devils Minion story line.
Now this isn't a new one I've seen it all last week but I don't think it's gonna do the why everyone thinks it does. Alex is an addict, Armand has erased something that I think will respark the addiction (if Daniel is to be believed it happened to him 5 times). I think Alex will get the part of DM where Daniel meets Marius.
Here me out. Alex is addicted to the mind thing that Armand does, views him like a god and maybe will chase after him (already part of Dans story). Armand thinking he's helping a lost soul maybe as a way to atone and do good deeds a la the 12 steps (bringing him back to Lestat eg) and with how they parallel him to Nicki he's gonna want to be a vampire. What if he finds and goes to Marius instead of Daniel. Like it could still be Daniel since he doesnt know to use any of his powers yet, but he likelihood he sticks around like he did in the books is low this way we still have young naive talented boy that chases the devil.
Now this theory is waaayyy out there but again here me out. Alex attempts to steal Daniel's body. Lestat talks about Daniel like he's dead, and we know that they are definitely doing TOTBT but they can split the story between Daniel and Lestat.
"He lead a brief incidental life as a vampire. Incidental." We are thinking he dies but if Alex develops an addiction to Armand, gets jealous steals Daniels body if Armand rejects turning him, "Daniel dies" . Then Daniel did lead a brief incidental life as a vampire. Especially the use of the word incidental, I truly think that along with the addition of look alikes in the show, Raglan and Dr Fareed being so prominent early on this is the way to get LBF to take over EBogo as the seasons go on and not just in past DM scenes. It also makes sense since they have given parts of David Talbots story line to Daniel, David gets a younger body of an Indian man if I can remember right. This way Daniel old body gets killed and Lestat helps them get a new one (LBF) as maybe the Alex body is badly injured or something.
Theory 3: Louis gets Merrick and Regina is Rose. (Also maybe Viktor???)
So the Merrick storyline for Louis was kinda obvious from all the clues, the only difference is that Daniel and Lestat will be along here as a difference from the book.
Now look at Regina and Roses stories. Both had a bit of a troubled past and both live in new York. Now if Baby Jenks goes after her as I suspect if she lives I think they give roses story to her.
If that's the case we really may get a Viktor de Lioncourt (please please please let Connor Storrie play the role. He already is a Lestatson). Dr Fareed seems to be feeding Lestat intravenously and also doing experiments with him and other vampires. Do you think he's taken some blood from Lestat (the way Lestat mentioned to the cop about blood testing wouldn't work as it would come out weird) to start the creation project. (Btw I think it would be soo fucking funny if Christine carried the child to term)
Now for random misc theories:
I think there are 8,000 or 80,000 vamps on the planet now as they keep using the number 8 around I was trying to figure it out but Gabi mentioning the 8 wolves reminds me of it.
TC is definitely gonna die. If Lestat turns her she'll be one of the failures for sure.
Gabi vanished to speak to Marius. Sure maybe other vamps but she seemed more interested in Marius and the Italian vamps than Lestat did.
Lemuel is Seth. No reason for this one 😆 I saw someone mention it as they think it's why Louis can fly now but it's mostly because I want to keep Moses around (and hook him up with Dr Fareed.)
Okay if you read all of this you're a rockstar (bigger than Lestat!) 💋💋😘
Okaay! Finally done with my work and now I have the link and episode downloaded my thoughts and theories In a bit!!!
Amc lives to piss me off. Like it's existence is a personal affront, for me having pissed off some creature it sacrifices souls to.

Very odd company at the long table.
The words began to pour out of me as they had out of him, and soon we were talking about a thousand things we had felt in our hearts, varieties of secret loneliness, and the words seemed to be essential words the way they did on those rare occasions with my mother. And as we came to describe our longings and dissatisfactions, we were saying things to each other with great exuberance, like “Yes, yes,” and “Exactly,” and “I know completely what you mean,” and “And yes, of course, you felt that you could not bear it,” etc. —THE VAMPIRE LESTAT

Random musings:
I read a fanfic that part way through I discovered was AI, and it just feels so perverse and eerie.
What I love about fanfic and art in general is that everyone who's created it, no matter how bad, has been brave enough to face a bit of their humanity good, bad or ugly. But the ones who use AI and the ones who created it, there's such a depth of cowardice that they can't face a bit of themselves they have to find a way to wear anothers skin like a bad leather face cosplay.
Lestat's Prayer - Psalm 118: 16-29
Interview with the Vampire s01e01 // The Vampire Lestat s01e03
But it was not until a few nights later, when I watched a man pull a knife out of his walking stick, and press the blade to his brother’s breast bone, that I said to myself, Lestat unpack your trunks. You’re home.
SPOILERS THE VAMPIRE LESTAT EPISODE 3 THOUGHTS AND THEORIES:
AND THATS HOW YOU BRING IT BACK (also AMC MAKE UP YOUR MIND ABOUT WHEN THE EPISODE COMES OUT)
Thanks to the screener for letting me know about the prayer before hand since now I know some of how if we can get the Monastery and link it to something in a lattar book as I said in my last post!
Firstly MR DANIEL MOLLOY, thank god all Lestat did was a little mind trick and not drop you from the stratosphere like I would have done. But Armand was right it's his drug. He cannot OD and most human interviews aren't as dangerous any more this feels like an addict chasing a high!
I am so glad an old prediction panned out in season 2 episode 3 I said the plan if the got to book 2 was to mirror Lestat and Claudia:
Bruce and Magnus.
* Trapped under floorboards for a week, trapped in a tower for a week.
* Dragged home from the train while running away, dragged home from the monastery having ran away.
* Killed her abuse father, killed his abusive family.
I was warned that the Magnus and Nicki scenes were short in this one but this time I didn't mind it. They used their flashback time and budget constraints better than the previous seasons.
The Magnus music video both made me laugh and made my skin crawl knowing what's to come. And a great way to show him stalking Lestat without it being a long drawn out thing. I thought they would go more horror stalking, classical Dracula meets Nosferatu since I think I remember a writer mentioning that they wanted a whole episode for this a couple of years ago but this direction makes sense for the tone and they still managed to get the true horror aspects especially in the car scene. (Literally the best the could have done with AMCs fuckery).
Also the tweak to Nicki cutting his own hand off!!! Like I still do not think it's all the truth but I completely would believe Armand burned him since when I read the book it was my 1st thought. Ooohhh I have feeling the missing bosy parts are really gonna trigger him later.
Louis, Louis, Louis my poor baby, thank you for finally getting to the pathetic worm even though it took you a century! Also DOES MY BOY HAVE THE CLOUD GIFT!?Finally??? Or was it just a cool jump.
The juxtaposition of Louis reading, Claudias diary about her assault and it flashing to Lestat heartbreakingly well done. (Also make me really nervous for episode 6)
Also: THANK GOD ITS A WIG (also thanks screener for not telling me after I ranted to you about the wig 😅 and hair I still fucking hate the accent she does though).
Speaking of bad wigs though, Gabi's story is still the only one I am not sold on yet. They have changed aspects of her soo much I have no idea where they are going with it but I suspect they are planning on killing her off? All the changes like her being involved with the great conversation, feel way too off for me and I'm not gelling well with it.
Also look at the Claudia look alike. I was worried her name would be rose (if you know you know), but of Louis you cannot stalk this girl around you will put her in danger!!
Also the lock screen with Lemuel is cute but listen here go to your little song bird, St.Louis he really really really needs you.
Theories:
I wonder how Baby Jenks story is gonna go and I am soo scared that Louis will be traumatised all over again because she's gonna go after Regina.
Now based on her name, the ruler I think she turns and instead of Akasha killing Jenks it will be her and Regina joins team Akasha (that way we can keep Delaney for longer).
Daniel's using the interview to get his fix because vampirism sucks so he's an addict again, but Armand using Arun and calling himself an addict I am sooo sooo curious about his addiction, mayhaps its a certain fascinating boy??
Okay going back to the prayer Lestat gave, if by season 5 we would be adapting parts of TOTBT to link it to begining scenes I have a feeling that the monastery and the devil become much more of a big deal then. And since Rolin said he wanted to adapt more of the Vampire Armand, linking this and aspects of Armands backstory would be... Chefs kiss. I would say more but this is a tiny spoiler from the later episodes this seasons and I cannot betray my source more than I already have lol.
Alex is gonna be the new Nicki, it think it's a smart way since I know we have a bit more Nicki later on, juxtapositioning him with Nicki and Alex's addiction coming back they need to mirror his failures to meet the theme of it happening over and over again;
* Gabi and Antoinette
* Lestat and Claudia
* Nicki and Alex
* The theatre and the band
* Auvergne and New Orleans
* 18th C Paris and 1940s Paris
I think these are the mirrors that make the most sense. And not Louis for the mirror because I think Louis is an amalgamation and at the same time different to all his other failures and in a sense also his success in a way.
I do hope we get to see more of his time with Armand and the theater next week...
Ha so I was right. They screwed over Rolin and co for The Vampire Lestat.
There are some questionable writing choices they are making, but over all the filming in Toronto as opposed to Prague, the fact they couldn't retain Carol and co, 7 episodes as opposed to 8, Hannah saying they covered as much if the books main story in case they didn't get a 4th season. AMC really fucked them over and seem to have prioritised getting a new, general (second screen) audience. Market it heavily and keep the production tight it seems. Like in the Rolin and Hannah now confirmed they wrote more of Lestats back story with the monastery and the troupe but they had to cut it from the script for budget.
We can keep making excuses about it's Lestats mind, it's this or this. But all my digging shows that it's unfortunately the same old things that usually fuck shows over studio interference and budget constraints.
