They just need to recast armand to someome who looks more book accurate!
Oh no my dear, the Armand described as Verrocchio's David?
The Armand that looks like a Botticelli Painting?
St Sebastian Armand?
Oh no I think he's perfection.

hey! hey you! did you ever want to read a heartbreaking story where daniel plays plushy surgeon? where he sits with his daughter in his lap and gently fixes her broken doll while he's thinking about his addiction and how bad of a father he is? a story where armand haunts the narrative and slowly drives daniel insane? no? that sounds painful as fuck you say? i don't give a shit.
here it is anyways!

Vampire Armand from Polynesian Mary’s and Daniel Molloy 🩸✨
Read a blog post about lestat fans on twt harshly judging louis' reaction to Lestat's tape and how it matters less that he held & supported him through the panic attack.
Louis' reaction rooting from an insane shock & feeling cheated with, imo isn't hard to empathise with and neither is him immediately reaching back for the man he loves. Most understand it, some don't. Some hold double standards. The issue is the growing hostility.
Let me start by saying that I've also been reading about the fandom dragging Lestat for essentially breathing around louis and claudia and this hostility STILL surprises me.
I believe that sure, fans carry a lot of blame for this hostility that keeps piling on e/o but a big chunk of it rests on the writing too.
I have learned that a very subtle hint about akasha's blood having influence on Lestat was removed from the 1×05 script that i feel would've helped book canon discussions during the 2 year hiatus while still holding him responsible.
Louis' point about his cousin making things transactional to cover up the power imbalance/unequal control bw them two, is brushed off as soon as it hits instead of having lestat add to how gabi does this too. She uses his attraction to her as a leash to control him and lestat at his worst state of mind, complies.
Going back again, I feel Claudia's manipulations and Louis' unhealthy weakness for her coulda been clocked by Daniel in S1 & 2 and that would add to their arc this season(concluded in claudia's confessions in ep6).
Not to mention Loumand is still lacking a lot of substance hidden in their 80 year failed marriage that I learn now from tumblr blogs here. If they were so cold and calculating, what were they doing sharing blood infront of Daniel in S1? The tenderness & promises in 2×05?
There is more to come but till now i haven't seen an honest conversation about the book from Loustat, both acknowledging their parts in their failures. So naturally people just resort to defending their fav and blaming the other. The ending of ep 6 was a great chance at it that they never took!
All in all- the show is a great viewing experience but the minute you sit down to dig in, the gap in the writing begins an endless cycle of mud slinging. Its doing nothing for the word of mouth cuz whole house mad!
