I was so happy as I was done with the development and deployment of my application. It was a peaceful life, then all of a sudden one of my wise friend asked "What is the strength of your SSL encryption". I thought it should be using most secure SSL encryption, and I went ahead and check SSLlabs.

But when I saw the results...I was like,

OK. So we have problems here. Precisely four problems in my case

My website still support SSL2, and it is week and vulnerable. (Wiki Link , http://www.contextis.com/research/blog/server-technologies-ssl2-should-it-keep-you-awake-/)

It is vulnerable to BEAST attack

It is vulnerable to CRIME attack

You need two things to connect to a EC2 linux machine from a EC2 windows machine. 

EC2 Key pair in .ppk format of the linux machine.

Winscp software.

To generate the .ppk format keypair from .ppm format you need to have PuTTYgen. You can load the .ppm file and convert it to .ppk. You can download puttygen here. For more details how to use PuTTYgen visit: http://winscp.net/eng/docs/ui_puttygen#puttygen_window .

After downloading these two softwares, install both in the windows machine from where you want to connect the linux machine. Download the keypair in .ppm format and convert it to .ppk using PuTTYgen.

Some-time you don't want to show your URL in the search result of the search engine. May-be because you are working on a secret project which will create a revelation and you do not want others to know about it.

There are many ways to do this. But the easiest way is to use the robots.txt file. If you are creating a web-site using some framework then robots.txt will be there, else you can create the file in your home directory.

To disallow all the search engine(sensible ones, like:Google, Yahoo, Bing) to crawl  everything you need to write following text in the robots.txt file.

User-Agent: * Disallow: /

To allow crawling for all user-agent for all site you need to put,

User-Agent: * Allow: /

You can configure robots.txt, in a way that it will allow/disallow to crawl some part of your site and allow/dis-allow some specific crawlers. For more detail checkout www.robotstxt.org

The other way you can remove the search results from Google, Yahoo, Bing is by using their web-master remove tool.

To remove search result from Google, visit https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals?pli=1

To remove from Bing,

           1. Log in to the Bing Webmaster Tools

           2. Go to Index tab -> Block URLs -> Block URL and Cache

           3. choose one of the following options:

                 Page only

                 Directory
