âI never said ânoâ, or tried to fight back, and I never spoke up about the attack. But I never said âyesâ, or chose to undress, and I never did think it was safe to confess his filthy secret. I never said ânoâ, or tried to fight back but I was so scared, and the night was so black, and regardless of whether I was reckless and wild I was still simply an innocent child. I was still simply an innocent child with whom he somehow felt so beguiled that he believed it was his right to rape her â but it never was, and that statement does not even need a âbecauseâ, because the fact that rape is never okay should not have to be justified in some way. My body is mine, it belongs to me alone and I cannot believe anyone could condone the objectification and dehumanization of a girl who is not even old enough to know the sensation of being âprovocativeâ. And even if she were, the blame still would not fall upon her, because every man should know better. Every man should know better, should understand that a lack of consent is a clear enough ânoâ, for if something is not given, if it is not explicitly shown, only an idiot or criminal would take it as theirs to own â and anyone who rapes is the lowest of both. So while I never said âstopâ, or tried to fight back it is fully his fault for initiating the attack to begin with. And while I suppose it is possible for one to lie about sexual assault, the proven percentage of false claims is not high therefore I really cannot comprehend why it is so common to ignore the victim and believe the accused because in doing so, society sides with abuse and that in itself is sickening. So I do not care who you are, whether you are a pauper or star or the goddamn president of the United States â we woman have decided it is time to life these weights from our chests. We are coming with our pitchforks and stakes and when the clock strikes the hour of your downfall and removal from power you will find yourself rotting in the hell of your own creation, suffering eternal damnation for the crimes you so cruelly committed, and there is no chance of being acquitted especially for those who so proudly admitted to their actions as if this were some sort of game. Sure, I never said ânoâ, or fled his attack but now we have collectedly chosen to fight back â and this may be a âwitch huntâ, but the threat from you witches is real and the only thing we are going to âstealâ is our right to a safe and empowered life, free from the chains of struggle and strife that the world has so wickedly cast upon us. This may be a âwitch huntâ, but if you want to stay safe The simple key to survival is this: donât fucking rape women to begin with.â

âWhy didnât you just leave?â
Because they didnât know what abuse looked like.
Because they internalized a lot of messages about chewed gum and used tape.
Because they were financially dependent on their abuser.
Because their culture or religion forbids it.
Because they were scared it would escalate.
Because they kept hearing from others how great their abuser is.
Because they were told that relationships take work.
Because they really did love their abuser.
Because their parentsâ relationship is just like that.
Because they think no one else could truly love them.
Because their abuser is really loving when not abusive.
Because they feel like they âoweâ their abuser.
Because they wanted to make it work.
Because they donât think someone like them can be abused.
Because all their relationships were like that.
Because they reached out and no one believed them.
Because they were worried it would ruin their life.
Because they wanted to protect their children.
Because they believed their abuser could change.

while weâre at this âi want a gf/bfâ trend, iâd like to say that itâs important to remember to please not mistake your need to fulfill years of loneliness and neglected love for a real desire to be in a relationship.
itâs risky not only for your partner to be with someone who wants them to compensate all the love they didnât have, but itâs absolutely dangerous for you to jump into any opportunity to date and to be given affection, because you might end up dating people who will not only take advantage of you, but might hurt you as well.
having a partner and sharing affection is an amazing experience, but itâs something that takes work, time and maturity. sometimes, youâre just not ready for it yet - but that doesnât mean youâll never be. take a deep breath: love will come to you just in time!
Promise..
âI promise..â
That has been said to me many times, and I canât remember a time when someone has kept their promise to me
âI promise Iâll always be here for youâ
âI promise nothing will changeâ
âI promise Iâll never hurt youâ
âI pinkie swear..â
So many more broken.
you already saw my pinkie finger was broken, why did you break me even more?

me when i scare off a potential romantic interest, not caring because abandonment issues and a delusional belief that i can and will get my ex back.

that dissociation feel when your eyes unfocus, everything goes fuzzy and every sound your hear is muffled, distorted and changing frequencies and you donât even know if youâre real anymore
Many abused children cling to the hope that growing up will bring escape and freedom. But the personality formed in the environment of coercive control is not well adapted to adult life. The survivor is left with fundamental problems in basic trust, autonomy, and initiative. She approaches the task of early adulthoodââestablishing independence and intimacyââburdened by major impairments in self-care, in cognition and in memory, in identity, and in the capacity to form stable relationships. She is still a prisoner of her childhood; attempting to create a new life, she reencounters the trauma.

Just dissociative things
- forgetting that youâre real
- forgetting that other people are real
- patting a cat, but the cat left three minutes ago
- The Blank Stareâ˘
- âdo you hear voices?â âŚâŚ.technically???
- âAre you okay?â Dude, I donât even know if i exist rn
- *something remotely stressful happens* TIME TO ASTRAL PROJECT INTO THE VOID
- when grounding doesnât work so you stand in the rain for an hour just trying to feel
- when people are clapping and you make vague efforts to but then it just does work
- when dissociating just leads to the weirdest nap youâve ever had
- never really wanting to get high bc trauma is enough to make you feel the same
- grounding with ice-cubes just leads numb hands and more unreal

Trauma and Dissocation
Trauma
Trauma is a must to be a dissociative system. Of course you may not remember it and thatâs entirely okay. Itâs very common to have repressed memories and there can be an alter that is called a trauma holder that bares the weight of the trauma for you.
If someone ever tells you you have to have trauma to be a system then they are right. But just because they say that doesnât mean they think you should remember your trauma. Itâs entirely okay to have repressed memories and I wouldnât want anyone to try to explore them without help.
âChildren arenât born with an integrated personality. In the absence of trauma, a child will integrate one coherent self over time as their brain matures and becomes capable of supporting this integration.â

Types of trauma
Big T : big trauma is something everyone would consider traumatic. Such as abuse and rape or maybe even a death of a close family member.
âA large-T trauma is distinguished as an extraordinary and significant event that leaves the individual feeling powerless and possessing little control in their environment. Such events could take form as a natural disaster, terrorist attack, sexual assault, combat/war zone, car or plane accident, etc. Helplessness is also a key factor of large âTâ traumas, and expectedly the extent of experienced helplessness is far beyond that of a small âtâ trauma. Large âTâ traumas are more readily identified by the experiencer, as well as those who have any familiarity with their plight.â (Source)
Little t : little trauma although still traumatic it isnât something everyone would call traumatic. Such as bullying and a death of a pet.
âSmall âtâ traumas are events that exceed our capacity to cope and cause a disruption in emotional functioning. These distressing events are not inherently life or bodily-integrity threatening, but perhaps better described as ego-threatening due to the individual left feeling notable helplessness.â (Source)
Dissociation
Dissociation is a coping mechanism that involves some sort of disconnect between your brain and reality. It varies from person to person of course and from event to event.
Depersonalization:a disconnection between the person and (parts of) their body, sensations, emotions, or memories
Derealization: a disconnection between the person and the outside world, often experienced as the world seeming somehow unreal
Amnesia: Â that canât be explained by substances or medical cause
Identity confusion: feeling unsure about who the individual really is
Identity alteration: switching between dissociated parts

was it csa?
Sexual abuse is when someone with less power is tricked, trapped, coerced, or bribed into any type of sexual experience. Power imbalance may result from the perpetratorâs age, size, position, experience, or authority and includes kissing, fondling, being forced to touch the abuserâs genitals, anal, oral or vaginal sex, and non-contact acts such as exhibitionism, exposure to pornography, voyeurism or sexual comments or looks.
If, as a child, you experienced anything that felt sexual or yucky with someone who had more power than you, you were abused.
It was abuse:
⢠Even if you were never touched ⢠Even if you didnât say no ⢠Even if it only happened once ⢠Even if you only watched ⢠Even if it felt good ⢠Even if you participated ⢠Even if it was a âgameâ ⢠Even if you got something for it ⢠Even if it was with another child ⢠Even if it was suggestive comments ⢠Even if there was something about it that you liked ⢠Even if you didnât tell
if you have more to add please do!!
Even if you didnât know to categorise it as abuse at the time, but just as something you hated
Even if you âletâ it keep happening because you didnât know what else to do
      - Even if you remembered years later.
-Even if you canât remember your abuser.
-Even if you were to scared to cry for help.
