“He’ll eat anything if it’s too close to his cute, fearsome face,” she coos to Snug, leaning over to squish his cheeks a little, which he accepts with a tiny tail wag.

Portia laughs a little bit, but under her touch, Snug looks about as harmless as a Pomeranian. She’s very proud of the attention her loyal companion is getting.

Snug cozies up to Sable, like the — currently — harmless will of his owner had turned off his “kill function”.

“This is much more satisfying to pet than the occasions where Unknown is masquerading as a wolf.” She blurted out, giving the hound gentle scritches behind his ears as she watched his tail go a mile a minute.

She was also admittedly relieved to be allowed to be this close in the first place; not every killer she’d reached out to in the past were this receptive of her approach. Sanity and physical wellbeing be damned, she was gonna keep upholding her creed of showing them all empathy and sympathy, totally not spurred on by the fact that the other survivors all looked like they wanted to be anywhere but near her anytime she was around.

Sable slowly, carefully, as not to make any sudden moves and risk setting either off, scooted the tied bag of popcorn from behind her to her front, and was about to open it herself…

Portia’s eyes widen slightly, an impressed smile working its way onto her face.

It was almost never used by the Entity in regular trials, and when it was used it was to punish that Taurie bitch everyone hated. Frank walked up the decaying steps of and into the office of Captain Maye.

"Ok... I'll get to the point. One of the our recruits wants to use your trial ground as a hub for the Legion. You chased him off yesterday with that... good boy of yours."

“Recruits? You all are more coordinated than I had given you credit for.”

She removes her spectacles, slowly setting them on the book.

"It used to just us four, but we have four new recruits. Jamie, Vicky, Artie, and Mireille. They've been with use for a while, and they're itchin' for some extra space."

Snug stepped forward, stopping just a few feet feet from Frank. He growled at the sadistic teen.

"However, I'm aware of your... forceful personality. We've seen your handiwork in the trials; my friends Julie and Joey love to hear your trash talk. We must not be that intimidating to you to make this request, so..."

Frank bit his tongue and pride.
