Hey there @mutia23mp,

when you´re opening the slides or pdfs in Safari or the browser of your choice, and then get transferred to OneNote after choosing opening there, you should get asked whether you´d like to add it as attachment or open it as `printed` version. Mine normally opens slides horizontally, if that´s the way they are shown in the preview online.

This summer, the exams really do seem to be never-ending! Tomorrow another one wants to be passed, and I am on fire trying to memorize all the important hemic diseases and treatments and pharmaceuticals...

And even then, I still have another 7!! to go, and I don´t even know how I´ll cram all the knowledge into my brain....😭

Anyway, I am doing my best and I am positive, it will all be fine in the end. It´s just exams, and if I fail, I´ll just take them again, it´s no big deal!

in Germany the courses are generally taught in English, as the state examinations after the 2nd, 5th and 6th year are in German, too. But don´t worry, each uni usually offers language courses and tutorials for foreign students so they don´t get “discriminated”. 

However, there now are “med schools” in Germany offering a bachelor degree course, instead of the traditional German “Staatsexamen”. These universities however, like the Kassel School of Medicine (in cooperation with the University of Southhampton), require yearly fees of about 12,000€ -- compared to the “free” German universities, whose semi-annual fees are between 100-300€, depending on the uni.

Which brings me to general costs. Per half-year, you have to calculate the university fee, in my case about 190€. Per month, I spend about this much:

University fee ~32€

Rent+electricity+internet+phone plan ~350€

Food ~100€ (this depends on your shopping and eating manners, of course; I go to the food market every weekend and manage to save a lot that way!)

This adds up to about 480€ fixed costs each month, not calculating any further expenses like personal travel, books and other material, or leisure time activities.

Hey there, thanks for the exuberant message! I don´t really know who you are, though :D

July 1st 2016 11:02 am // I am back on track!

After being on a tumblr-hiatus for quite some time now, I am finally back! 

It´s already end of the semester again, and all I´ve gotta do for the next four weeks is study, study, study. 1 of 10 exams is passed already, and today the next one will be conquered!

At 4 pm I´ll have to be at the hospital  and pull every little bit of information about lungs and everything medically connected to our breathing organ out of my brain (which already feels shriveled to walnut-size). 

After that, I am free for the weekend, glorious two days! In which I will be studying, of course! And maybe enjoy the nice weather, before it´s winter again (I am scared of missing out on summer again this year, sitting indoors covered in books and papers...).
