Both/And embraces a more complex, multifaceted mindset to challenge and deconstruct the idea of duality. Somewhat a reflection of life; things become more complicated as we age and with that comes the need to simultaneously embrace multiple thoughts, feelings, and ideas without the comfort of pigeonholing them into either/or dichotomies. It’s simply not that simple. We wanted to hear what it would sound like to create songs that embody a Both/And mindset, a space that is not one thing but many.

Quite simply, these tracks comprise the Through A Rebel Heart EP, which we call the “First Four”. These songs represent a newfound continuation between longtime musical collaborators Brian Kelly and Bob Davies. The title track, Through A Rebel Heart, is not only our first finished track, but also the track wherein we (re)learned how to play music together. The track I Realize It Made Little Difference, simply rocks, while the ballad And So I Started Living, Breathing, You Know... caresses with layered beauty.
