The fields of Achievement City seemed to ring with wardrums, the screech of sword on sword sweeter than the toll of any bell, but this symphony of battle was audible only in the young knight’s mind; a memory of what had been, and what was to come. But in truth the fields were a dreadful sort of silent, death hanging over it - a shroud for the new wives and husbands of the Wither. Rot’s scent was a sickly sweet, too overbearing to be enjoyable, and yet he loved it. Smelling it meant he was still alive, that he had won.

And victory meant he was one step closer to King’s Keep, one battle nearer to dethroning the Red King.

He would carry forth unhesitant, matching into battle with a death cry on his lips, a berserker with no rationale but a necessity to kill. Narvaez would be dethroned - Michael had helped give him the crown; oughtn’t he take it away? The abuse of power would not be tolerated any longer - the wilting rose had to die to make room for a healthier garden. And he would evict him with force. With the help of his peasant army, no walls could keep him from the king.

There were few things worth thankfulness left by the Primus, but Geoff’s affinity for towering monoliths of buildings had been perfect precursors to equally large windows. Artworks of stained glass spanning floor to ceiling were held important in the Bear King’s eyes - they recorded the histories of his kingdom, providing images easily interpreted by those who lacked means to read. Beyond that, they let in sunlight, so vitally important to the image he had of his keep; all the gold in the world would not glitter without a source of illumination, and what better such source than the origin of light itself?

But such an ideal required work to maintain, and for that was the Jack of All Trades, his name a pun that did not cease to give Mogar a case of the chuckles.
