What to wear to workout
Nothing. Just wait for ADAY to launch in a month or two. Started by two girls based in London, it’s got the aesthetic of Alexander Wang/Acne with the functionality of Lululemon. You can stop wearing Balenciaga to class now.
p.s. in the meantime, they have a kickass guide to working out in LDN & NYC called Wander. I’m the editor. Yeah.
How to Make It in the World: The Hannah Rules Courtesy E. Jean 1. Never waste time looking for a job when you can invent a job. 2. Never invent a job that does not help solve one of mankind’s problems. 3. Never forget, as you prepare your Facebook marketing campaign: Women want to be thinner, and men want to be taller. 4. Never go with what you love. Go with what obsesses you. 5. Never worry about failing. You will fail. Just fail smarter the next day. 6. Never listen to your boyfriend when he complains that you’re working all the time. Keep working. 7. Never wear black. Wear red—hot, cheeky, dangerous red. People will be less likely to forget you. 8. Never aim for catchy. Aim for true. 9. Never ask customers what they want—as Steve Jobs said: “People don’t know what they want until you show it to them.”

A detoxing downward-facing dog
This is Downward Dog with a detox twist, literally: Revolved Downward-Facing Dog, also known as Parivrtta Adho Mukha Svanasana. As energising and rejuvenating as its famous cousin, this asana also has the added benefits of stretching the ribcage and abdominal obliques, and bringing a deeper stretch to the hamstrings. The 'twist' part also tones and massages your internal, stimulating detox, metabolism and digestion. Don't believe us? Try doing this after a rich meal. Your digestion will thank you.
But that's what also makes this pose perfect in spring, a time of awakening from the stupor of winter and detoxing and re-energising the body. Start in Downward-Facing Dog and press through the palms and ankles, fingers spread wide, weight distributed evenly between the both hands. Inhale, bring your left hand to the outside of your right ankle, allowing your torso to open to the right. If you can't reach the ankle, rest your hand on the outside of your right shin or upper thigh.
Relax the neck and take the gaze under the right side of the body. Hold for 5-10 breaths. Exhale. Inhale and twist back to Downward-Facing Dog. Repeat on the other side and enjoy.

#GivingTuesday
If you're over present-buying and tree-decorating (it's only the 3rd of Dec, just sayin'), spare a thought for #GivingTuesday. Local charity Hackney Winter Night Shelter gives a roof to the homeless during winter. Something offering protection from the cold during these frigid climes? That's something we can all relate to. And don't think money's the only thing you can give - check out the infographic below for ways you can help xx

"‘Limits’ is a relative term. Like beauty, it is often in the eye of the beholder." - Chris Burden
So you want to go to yoga. So you want to look good. So you want to go somewhere afterwards but you don’t want to carry 100kg x crap with you, nor do you want to rock up looking like you did, in fact, just come from a yoga class. Or perhaps being comfy-like-a-yoga-class is your fashion remit in life. Either way, an outfit to help you stretch in in style.
Leggings, by Lululemon. A pair of basic black leggings… or are they? Not your basic cotton pair, these high-stretch babies not only feel amazing, they look amazing, and that’s all you want from a pair of leggings, right? Try them on to believe it.
Yoga vest, by Sweaty Betty. You know those tank tops with straps everywhere that you put on over your head, peer at the straps and think WTH, and then decide you can’t even figure out how to put it on? This is the opposite. Again, the high-stretch fabric makes you look good, while the built-in bra reduces the need for fiddly bits even more.
T-shirt sweater, by Les Petites. Comfort with a hint of structure and French je ne sais quoi.
Cardigan, by Burfitt X Mysore Yoga Paris. As comfortable as a blanket around you, but much more stylish. And doesn’t fall off your shoulders.
Hooded reversible shearling jacket, by T by Alexander Wang. Should the cardigan not be enough for the frigid European weather, this will most certainly cover it, pun not intended.
Leather backpack, by Marni. Hey. You can’t undo all that great alignment by wearing a one-shoulder bag, can you? (Although guilty as charged *cough* *cough*)
