Where peace lies

Sunny day. Feeling good and fairly rested. Beautiful morning walk, went out for me for once and not just to rescue naps.

Started watching the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and I LOVE IT. The style, the pacing. Finally a new show I can get behind.

Babies' day: 6/10 - so far, maybe it'll go up from here. Feeling optimistic.

Mom's day: 8/10 - maybe it was the walk, maybe it was the sun, I feel good.

Running on 4 hours of broken overnight sleep because E decided to party from 1-4am. That's a first, and hopefully the last.

Babies' day quality: 7/10 - some decent naps throughout the day, generally happy. Even got their last catnap in so bedtime was smooth. Definitely one of the top three days of their lives.

Mom's day quality: 6/10 - eating left over (meh), running on little sleep (meh), but easy babies made all the difference.

Chaotic start of the morning with an unexpected visit from grandma. Never again. All three kids were riled up. E was whiny, M&M were overstimulated...

At last, E was convinced to walk to school with dad. M&M took a bit more "convincing" to relax. Some tears, and extra feeds.

Babies' day quality: 5/10 - naps were ok, very only just ok. Not catastrophic but not smooth. Overall they are fairly content when awake, though the little one was extra sleepy. Last nap of the day was still a gong show, but they did end up going to bed at a reasonable time.

Mom's day quality: 6/10 - weather was nice so we were able to take a walk with a Starbucks latte. Also went out for an evening walk/shopping trip with E. Was hoping to do some Christmas shopping but the selection was disappointing.
