Without a doubt, the worst things humans must do in their life is fight to survive. Think about it. Everyday you decide whether or not you want to get out of bed. If you get out of bed, you now must decide whether or not you want to get dressed. If you decided to get dressed you must decide what you want to wear. Based on what you choose to wear, people will either be drawn to you or pushed away from you.

According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, humans have five basic needs. Needs that must be met in order to survive. Need number one: physiological needs. You know, the basics: water, oxygen, food, so on and so forth. Need number two: safety needs. Humans need to feel somewhat safe in order to not only survive, but thrive. Need number three: the need to feel like you belong and are loved… do you see what I am getting at? From the moment you wake up, you are fighting for your survival. If you don’t get out of bed, you may not be able to fill the basic need of food. If you decide to not get dressed because you have nothing to wear, you may also fail to fulfill the basic need of security. If you pick the “wrong” outfit, the one that pushes people away, you will fail epically at feeling like you are loved and belong.

Life is hard and strange and a little bit messed up. Yet everyday you and I both go out of our way in order to ensure that we, and those around us, survive.
