Kendra is absolutely adorable and I think will always be my favorite. And we finally have a bump pic!
I think the style of dress Kendra is wearing is going to become a landmark for late 2010's fashion. -Suz
Ugh I hope not. I hate that all dresses have that stupid little ruffle now
Apparently itās a slow news day for Pickles
Is...is she fat-shaming an infant?
My son was born at 8lbs 15 oz and gained a pound a week for the first 8 weeks of his life and then slowed down but my doctor was thrilled he was clearly being nourished and growing on his curve
Hereās the video of Jessa and Ben introducing Ivy for those who couldnāt view it!!

it is kinda weird to me that they didnāt take the kids to her sisters wedding. but oh well, do you
hi iām back and this is fucking weird? itās your sisterās wedding?
We recently went to a wedding in California (we live on the east coast) for my husbandās brother and we left the kids. Heās even our kids godfather but weddings with kids are hard and stressful especially if one or both of you are in the wedding

So Confused Right Now.
Today (May 21, 2019), Jessa (Duggar) Seewald posted on IG that āSeewald #3 will be 38 Weeks tomorrow.āĀ Assuming thatās true, which is probably is (?)āat the very least, it would be absurdly patronizing to assume itās untrueāthen, we can do the math and calculate Jessaās due date asā¦Ā June 5, 2019.Ā But waitā¦Ā Previously, she said she was due on June 6, 2019!Ā (She told Jinger a due date of June 6 on Counting On,Ā āA Bachelor No More.ā)
So Iām confused.
Also, in the comments on todayās IG Post, someone asked Jessa whether she thinks she will go early or late.Ā Jessa respondedā
⦠again, Iām slightly confused.Ā Spurgeon was due November 1, 2015, and was born on the 5th (4 Days Late).Ā Henry was due on February 2, 2017, and arrived on the 6th (4 Days Late).Ā And, in both cases, Iām getting the due dates directly from the Seewalds.Ā (With Spurge, they put ā11.01.2015ā on the announcement onesie.Ā With Henry, Jessa said he was due on February 2nd, on Counting On!)Ā But, if they were actually both 5 Days Late, does that mean they were actually due on October 31 and February 1?Ā Should I adjust my spreadsheets?Ā Ā Ā
I think I will leave all of the data as is, for now?Ā Thoughts?
Itās not uncommon for due dates to shift one or 2 days through the pregnancy due to size measurements on ultrasounds. Most OBs and midwifes wonāt change dates but some will. She also could just not know how to count days.
Oh boy...and another one š³
You werenāt the only one! I found it strange that she said Carson was coming along because he was Erinās best friend, to me it came off as her being preferential over her own children. -Suz
Didnāt she also take only him to visit Michael up in Chicago. I have two kids and it seems so odd to me
This isnāt fundie but I know we have some Sister Wives fans in here. Mariah Brown and her girlfriend Audrey got engaged at the womenās march last month.
I wonāt be watching the Bundy Tapes on Netflix.
Instead I will be reading and thinking about Ted Bundyās victims. I wonder where their movies are. I wonder why their names arenāt raised.
I wonder why we donāt hear about Lynda Ann Healy, a 21 year old psychology major about to graduate that semester. Lynda worked with handicapped children and got up early every day to report on the skiing conditions for local radio.
I wonder why we donāt hear about Debra Kent, a 17 year old aspiring social worker who was known for always having change to feed parking meters for strangers.
I wonder why we donāt hear about Susan Curtis. Susan was only 15 years old and was riding her bike to church that day. She was a star on her high school track team.
In a world filled with kind, beautiful people, I wonder why we all know Ted Bundyās name. I wonder if that isnāt giving him and people like him exactly what he wanted. And frankly Iām sick of hearing people talk about him.
Iād like to talk about 12 year olds Lynette Culver and Kimberly Leach, neither of whom turned 13 because Ted Bundy stole their innocence and their lives from them. Kimberly had just been elected first runner up āValentine Queenā by her peers and never got to wear that pretty new dress. Do you think her parents still have that dress, hanging in the back of a closet? I bet they do. I bet her dad sits with it in his darkest moments. You ever thought about him when you hear the name Ted Bundy?
Letās talk about 19 year old Susan Rancourt, who had a 4.0 GPA. 17 year old Laura Aime. 18 year old Georgeann Hawkins. 23 year old Janice Ott. 26 year old Nancy Wilcox. 23 year old Caryn Campbell. 17 year old Melissa Smith. 19 year old Donna Manson, who was an excellent flute player and by all accounts a bit of a goth. 20 year old Kathy Parks. 22 year old Brenda Ball. 20 year old Lisa Levy. 21 year old Margaret Bowman. 25 year old Denise Oliverson, who had just gotten into a spat with her new husband and had gone for a walk to clear her mind. Denise weighed 105 pounds. She was bound, gagged, raped, mutilated and thrown from a fast moving car. Have you ever considered what HIS life has been like since that day? How many hours of his life do you think have been spent on the floor, clutching the ring he had given her, apologizing into thin air?
These stories are real. These people are REAL.
I get that Ted Bundy was handsome and his eyes were very blue but please. Please stop glamorizing him like this. He ended and ruined lives. Nothing about him is cool or worthy of emulation. Ted Bundy raped, tortured, mutilated and strangled over 30 females, including 12 year old girls. None of his victims weighed more than 115 pounds.
Ted Bundy was a pathetic man.
Emulate Lynda. Emulate Debra. Raise their names and their voices to those around you. Honor them. They were very real people with promising lives and futures stretched ahead of them, stolen.
Please donāt elevate or whitewash this kind of rampant violence against women. I assure you the world is harsh enough for us without a new generation thinking Ted Bundy is a cool, fascinating guy.
Thanks.
The whole point of this thing is to show how he able to get away with what he did for so long. Everyone thought him so cute and charming and adorable. Surely this wonderful man couldnāt be guilty of anything like that. Even the judge was captivated by his personality.
Just because someone is personable and good looking, doesnāt mean theyāre a good person. It doesnāt mean they arenāt capable of unspeakable horrors. Thatās the purpose of this Netflix show. To help people see that and help avoid more people from falling victim to the likes of Ted Bundy.
The original post is a little ridiculous. Itās history. Documentaries are a great way to show current generations the past. And there is a value to being able to learn what Ted Bundy did and how he was able to get away with it. Donāt shame people who just want to learn about events in history. Because if we donāt learn from these things weāre just going to repeat them

Socialism is more than just āgetting free stuffā. If we end up becoming socialist country, then there would be censorship. There would be limited internet access. Look at Cuba for instance. They donāt have any access to internet until the late 1990s. And they got their first WiFi hot spot in 2015. Theyāre a socialist country.
Cuba is communist. Thereās a vast difference between communism and socialism.
^^^WSS socialism is NOT capitalism
Had to delete and reupload because tumblr is being weird. Anyways. What? I never would have guessed he was a Backstreeter.
Is it normal in the south or conservative Christian communities for weddings to not serve a full meal, instead opting for just appetizers? I'm trying to get a gauge for what is normal, since in my country meals normally aren't expected, but most of the weddings I've been to in America (New Hampshire) do have meals
It depends on the wedding and what the bride and groom want. Iāve been to weddings where there are full sit down meals with serving staff, and others were there are just snacks. It all depends.Ā
Sit down meals are so expensive. Personally, I think weddings are about the people, and I would never spend money on catering because itās just so crazy expensive (and from my experience, the food isnāt normally that goodā¦not worth what you paid for it at least). I would never spend more money on food at the expense of not inviting people, simply because I couldnāt afford their plate.Ā
Iāve been to a few weddings that hadĀ āpot luckā style meals, or homemade meals. That way there was still a meal, but it was much cheaper. You can rent catering equipment and still have itĀ ālookā good for much less (and nothing beats homemade food).Ā
In the Baptist circles I grew up in full meals were pretty common. They arenāt super expensive; theyāre rarely catered and usually cooked by church friends. If you have a friend who is good at cooking for large groups, it doesnāt have to be that pricy.Ā
Honestly Iām always shocked when I hear people talk about how much a reception meal costs per plate because Iām so used to helping my mom with weddings that are, at the most, half that amount. Whoever is paying for the wedding (usually the brideās parents in these circles) pays for the ingredients (sometimes theyāll go to Samās with my mom and sometimes Mom will just give them the receipt) and then my mom does the work for free. Usually she gets help from other family members and sometimes other church members. (My grandma and aunt often do this for members of their church too, sometimes with my momās help.) There are so many meals that can be done inexpensively if you have someone with the willingness and know-how to prepare them.Ā
Southern (ex-Baptist) here. Iāve never been to a wedding without a meal. Itās rude to have people show up and spend hours celebrating you and not feed them properly. Even the cheapest wedding Iāve been too have had some type of main entree wether that be pulled pork, or spaghetti.
Generally rule of thumb is if your guest will be with you at normal meal times so lunch (11-1) of dinner (5-7) you should feed them.
Full wedding invitation.

Is this the first wedding with a reception in a completely different location!
wait i just realized- kelton didnāt wear a suit jacket during the ceremony??????
I know and it bugs me lol
My husband was the best man in an outdoor wedding tonight in NC and honestly they should have forgone their jackets. We thought somewas going to pass out and everyone was dripping in sweat. So glad the ceremony was only 15 minutes

Teach children that this is not ok
Teach children that thereās nothing wrong with this
Iām really not understanding why you think cultural appropriation would be ok, unless you are assuming that the girl in the picture is part Japanese.
Yellow face yet sheās using white makeup in the traditional style but okay.
Cultural appropriation isnāt a thing, hon. āŗļø Cultures should be shared by all means.
I disagree. The makeup is clearly reflective of traditional Geisha makeup which is yellowface and therefore racist. Furthermore, the girl is wearing a kimono, a garment that has for ages carried cultural significance. Assuming that she is white how can you think this is ok? And cultural appropriation isnāt a thing? What rock do you live under? I suggest you educate yourself on the differences between cultural appreciation and cultural appropriation.
I am japanese, in japan at this very moment. The only people who think culture shouldnt be shared are racists like you.
A vast majority of Japanese people actually enjoy other people making an effort to spread and enjoy japanese culture, and encourage it. Many make businesses in deliberately taking pictures of people in kimono. A common omiage (gift) for foreigners from japanese people is traditional japanese things such as kimonos, tea seats, shisa dog statues, ect.
And to top it off, basically 80 percent of japanese customs, traditions, and food, came from other countries. Japanese is an integration of different cultures, like america. Japan takes influences from places like korea, china, russia, and europe. If japan stuck to itself, there would be no tempura, japanese tea, tea ceremonies, kabuki, japanese bread, japanese curry, j- pop, anime, cars, or modern fishing techniques. The picture is not āyellow faceā they are not making fun of asians. In fact, it looks like they put extra care and research into their work.
The only reason that you have a problem with this is because that little girl is white and you know that it is acceptable on tumblr to crap all over white people. The only racist here is you.
Rekt
Dang she got shut down.
Damn Iāve never hit reblog so fast in my entire fucking life
Daaaaamn
Pew pew pew
I reblog this every time I see it
I live in Japan and Iād like to back up this sentiment.Ā
Recently a museum in Boston came under a lot of fire for allowing visitors to wear aĀ ākimonoā (it was featuring a painting my Monet of a girl ā a white girl ā in a kimono, and the museum had replicas made that guests of ANY RACE could wear to mimic the painting, Pageant-of-the-Masters style). After protests and heated debate, the museum closed the event.
I was living in Japan at the time, and out of all the *actual* Japanese people I asked, not a single one was offended by the event. Rather, they were excited that people half a world away were showing interest in their culture, and were sad that visitors could no longer enjoy the event.
This party, though somewhat silly in application, is an attempt at experiencing and appreciating another culture. The mom who put this together is not an expert on Japan, but she did her best. She got a lot of things right: there are few things Japan loves more than tea, Pocky, and sakura.Ā
Where do you draw the line for who isĀ āallowedā to learn about Japan? If the girl were of Japanese descent, would that make it ok (even though her citizenship would be the same as the girl from the photo)? If one of the girlās parents were from Japan, then would it be ok?Ā
Are you only allowed to make pizza if you live in Italy? If youāre an Italian immigrant? How do we decide these things??
You canāt say you want to dismantle racism and then in the next breath make rules ā based on race ā for who people can wear, try, or eat, especially when the intent is obviously to have fun experiencing a culture (as opposed to having fun by making fun of a race or culture, like blackface does).Ā
When you tell people they can only experience things āmeant for their raceā, it totally smacks of segregation to me and I canāt stand it. As someone who (obviously) loves Japan, I say let people learn about it, let people experience it, let people appreciate it. You donāt have to know every single thing about a culture to enjoy it.
fucking people got owned is what, fuck i hate how people say you cant do shit when culture should be shared and is shared its how it grows and changes through fucking generations itS HOW YOU LEARN about the world and just fucking, tumblr fucking stupid like 70% of the dam time
this new light
@littleblackchat omg, Princess, I remember reading this and being so impressed before we formally met!ā¦.I had no point to make here, I just realized thisā¦I still agree with it too! If itās done with the utmost respect for their culture and itās done with admiration, why berate them? I was just really happy to read this again and know that you were what I read and liked
Reblog this because yes
Your point of view about racism and cultural stuffs is strongly felt. I know and you are right. I donāt like racism. I donāt like sexism. But I donāt like to be forced to have a discussion about it too. Iām not english, I have some problems to explain myself, expecially for this kind of topics, because they need a lot of words I canāt say. Anyway, I reblogged this post so Iām actually forced by someone to explain myself about it, because I actually just canāt agree with someone else without having a discussion.
Okay, take this argument.
Iām sorry, but mine is a culture of sharing and exchanging. So I donāt think she is derespectful. For example, Cooking is a part of my culture, not just a looking into the fridge and decide what to eat for the day. I know many people in the world like and try italian cooking. For me, for my family, for my country, cooking is a ritual. Is that part of the day your family is united. Eating is a form of appreciation of the life, we are strongly convinced that when you eat good, your day is better, your health is better, your life is better. We follow recipes our grandma told us, itās like our mothers and grandmothers living in what they taught us. When you say: āItās my nonnaās recipeā is not just a sentence like another. Itās like we saying: āShe taught me with love to cook this. This is hers recipe.ā Itās something to hand down to our offspring. For us cooking is very important. We look to the world and sometimes someone takes one of our cultural points and try to reinterprets our recipes, sometimes with good results, sometimes with bad results. People everyday cook pasta. They Cook pizza. They Cook lasagna. I saw things, guys. I saw pizza with ananas, without tomato sauce and with a mountain of cheese on it, I saw pasta al pomodoro cooked with ketchup and without salt, I saw pasta with chicken, meatballs and people put pesto into the salad or onto the meat. Ask one of these plates to an italian and you can see them make a facepalm. But, you know? We know you donāt totally understand this point of our culture. You probably think itās just a meal and you can try to change our grandmas recipes. We can get annoyed by some requests in a restaurant. We can get offensed (And believe me, we really did) about people say our is a bad pizza because thereās too less cheese for you. I mean⦠itās like to say to a Japanese their sushi isnāt the better one. We can. But we canāt force you to stop cooking italian food. Because itās something we share with pleasure, even if you sometimes canāt cook it well. This is why we can invite you to Italy. To eat the real recipe. You can find it great, you can find it awful, (because itās too different from what you always ate.) And itās okay. Maybe coming in Italy and still finding great our cooking, you understood why for us is so important, why we remember with love our grandmas, why cooking is so italian. Do you know this is cultural appropriation? Yes, it is. For what I said before. It can sound lame, but as I said, cooking is a strong part of our culture, so⦠We share it. With your trying, you made a step to the understanding of our culture. You made a bad starting, guided by stereotypes and ignorance about us, but then you understood us better. This is why I donāt condamn a girl wearing (badly) a kimono. Because⦠Yes, she tried with a bad result, but she had fun and probably she will understand her fails while growing up and studying. She appreciated a culture and she tried to enjoy it. She didnāt want to make somebody angry or uncomfortable. She didnāt want to jeer your culture, she just had appasionate about it so much that she would to enjoy it. Why do you condamn her? She is just a naive childā¦
BY THE WAY, TALKING ABOUT THE GENERAL CULTURAL APPROPRIATIONā¦
Without sharing, there wouldnāt be an Italy. Do you know the italian history? Do you know our origins? We canāt too. Because we are a big mix of cultures. Celts,Ā Arabs, Africans, Greeks, Etruscans, we are not one of these, we are ALL of these. Japan too is a country made of ācultural appropriationā. Not only from US but also from China, Korea and Europe. Study just a bit of Heian history and learn. Study about Portuguese pelgrins, the catholic religion in Japan. I mean⦠In Japan thereās a Christās tomb. In Japan. āThe tomb of Jesus Christā. How do you think this can be even possible without the cultural appropriation? Japanese writing is based from a mix of ainu, various altaic and austronesian languages, how can this be even possible without appropriation? The music is made by cultural appropriation, the clothing is made by cultural appropriation, the cooking is made by cultural appropriation. Stop talking about dominating cultures and submissive cultures. This is not anymore a cultural fight about who is stronger, this is SHARING.
This is sharing, people, and this is what the mankind is made of.
I donāt wanna say anything more of this. So⦠Please donāt contact me anymore to convince me Iām wrong. Itās everything I have to say.
If you want more.
@keepingupwithfundies @fundiefanatic-s This was the post I was referring to re: Jinger putting Felicity in the top knots being cultural appropriation or not. If you read the comments/reblogs, a lot more people weigh in too.Ā
I think an important thing to think about when it comes to cultural appropriation is that the whole idea ofĀ āwhite people should stick to white thingsā is pretty damn close to the Nazi/white supremacist idealogy. Be respectful, donāt claim youĀ ācreatedā orĀ ādiscoveredā things that other cultures have had for years, and youāre probably okay. When it comes to things that can be purchased, try to purchase from people of that culture if at all possible.Ā
The problem with this is their are open cultures (Japanese) and closed cultures ( Native American). Itās not all cut and dry
WOOO we know which state madam pickles resides in.. Now time to start the digging and try to know who she REALLY isĀ
Sheās given enough information over the years that we could figure it out.
Why does she have to live in my state?
