After you finished your hair and make up, you finally got your silky black dress on right as you heard a knock on the door. Knowing it was Ash, you quickly put on your cap and gown and run to the door before your parents were able to. As soon as you open the door, he wrapped his arms around your waist and spun you around. “There’s my graduate!!!” you smiled as you tried so desperately not to rub your freshly put on face all over the crook of his neck. As soon as he put you down, you gave him a small kiss hello before you heard the familiar sound of your parents coming out. “There he is! Just in time too, we leave in about 20 minutes. First, we need to take pictures!” Your dad says before getting out his camera. You two posed and posed and posed, it almost felt like your own personal photo shoot. It was finally time to leave. 

As you guys were in the car on the way to school, you can feel the excitement in your stomach. 

Ashton: Hey, you okay?

You: Yeah, I’m just excited and scared. It’s weird, i’m so used to a daily routine but now it’s all going to change. 

Ashton: Yeah, it is. But you know, you’re off to do better things. This is only one of the many chapters the finish in your life and personally, I can’t wait to see where you go from here. You can finish College and get your degree, you can drop out and pursue a different dream, you can do anything from here on out and I’ll be by your side through it all. 

You: You’re honestly the best, I’m so happy you were able to make it!! 

Dad: We’re here!! 

You exited the car and had to part ways to get prepared with the rest of your classmates. 

You sat with the rest of the people, whom most you have known since kinder, and waited for them to call your name. 

Announcer: (y/n)!!

You can hear your friends, family, and Ashton shouting as loud as they can as you walk to get your diploma. 

After all the names were called, you all became eager and excited as the announcer’s said “You may now all move your tassels to the left, Congratulations to the class of 2017!!” 

The crowd yelled, everyone was cheering, there were horns and you could feel the happiness in the air. You did it. Through the doubts and the fears, you managed to pull it all together for this day. 

After the ceremony, you went to search for your family. First you say your parents and ran to them to give them big hugs before they gave your your flowers. 

Mom: We’re so proud of you!!

Dad: You did it!

You smiled and thanked them while you looked around for Ash, “Where’d he go?” you asked. Your parents smiled and pointed behind you as you saw your boyfriend there with his bandmates. “They came!!!” You ran to hug, Cal, then Michael, and of course Luke. 

Luke: You didn’t think we’d actually miss this right?

You: How’d you guys even get tickets?

Michael: Well your little love bug here talked to the administration and they said it was okay. 

You looked at ashton as he held your favorite flowers in his hand before handing them to you.

Ashton: I hope you enjoyed the surprise my smarty pants. 

You wrapped your arms around his neck as he held you tight and whispered, “I’m so proud of you.” into your ear. 

Ashton: I got another surprise for you. I talked to your parents and they said you can go on tour with us this summer! 

You: Really?! 

You looked back at them and they smiled as they nodded. You ran to give them a second hug.

You:Thank you thank you thank you!

Dad: Consider this your graduation gift, but only until a few weeks before school, so we get time with you before you leave, okay?

You nodded in agreement. This was truly a wonderful end to this chapter of your life.

You all decided to just meet up at the camp site because you had school, Jocelyn had work til about 3 and Calum had some last minute interviews in the morning so you 3 would carpool together while Michael, James, Amy, and Jerry would carpool to the campsite in the morning to set things up. 

After class, you went to pick up Jocelyn.

You: I can’t wait for you to finally meet Calum! I really hope you like him, you know the family’s approval is everything to me. 

Jocelyn: Well from what I see in the media, Mr. Rock star seems like a down to earth guy. I still can’t believe you two are actually a thing now. You’ve been seeing each other for what, a year?

You: Well actually we dated secretly for a few months then became official so about a year ago, so I guess you can say a year or so. 

Jocelyn: How did that happen again? And why did we not hear about this til a few months ago?

You: We decided that it was best for both of us to not be seen together so much, so we met up at hotels, the studio and his apartment here in LA to try to stay low key. I didn’t want all the attention and he didn’t want me to get hurt by the attention. Now that we went from “friends” to “official” I was introduced to the fandom slowly to get everyone used to seeing me slowly. 

Jocelyn: Wow all that for you two to be together, sounds rough. But you seem happy so whatever floats your boat. Where are we meeting him?

You:Well after his interview his TCP truck is taking him to the alley behind my house to switch him out of that truck and into my car. I have his camping equipment already so we’re good to go. 

Jocelyn: Sounds exciting!

About 5 minutes later, you get a call from Cal. 

Calum: Hey babe! I’m in the alley, are you almost here? I don’t know how long it’s going to be empty here for. 

You:Yeah, actually around the corner. You can start getting out. 

You hang up on Cal and turn the corner to see the black escalate. You pull up next to the truck and Thank his driver for his efforts. “No problem! I hope you guys have fun!” The driver yells, “We’ll try! I’ll make sure he doesn’t get bitten by snakes or anything” You say, and hear oh too familiar laughter in the back. “Have fun having tent sex (y/n)!!” Michael says while laughing. Ashton rolls his eyes and looks at you, “really though! have fun! And Invite us next time will ya?!” he says. Luke butts in with his “What gives with that again?! I’m still mad” “Sorry, introducing to the family. Maybe next time!” You say to him after Calum gets into the car. You smile and wave by to everyone before driving away. 

You: Hey love! How was the interview?

Calum: Oh typical questions. What’s my love life like, played some games and answered some fan questions. Those were actually about the music, thank goodness. 

He looks toward your cousin Amy, “Hey! I’m Calum! It’s so nice to finally meet one of (y/n)’s cousins.” Amy looks back and shakes his hand, “Nice to meet you too! We’ve heard a lot of you, hope you live up to the expectations” she laughs and Cal laughs nervously. “She’s only kidding babe don’t worry” you say giggly. “Now take some time to rest, we’ve got an hour long drive” 

Cal tried to find a comfortable position to sleep in while you and your cousin caught up on life and listened to some nice car jams. 

Getting to the Campground 

You wake up Calum,”We’re here! I hope you enjoyed sleep, cus we’re probably not gonna get much this weekend. “Ha ha, very funny. You know I don’t sleep much anyways, so I’m used to it.” He laughed in response. 

You get out and walk to your cousin Amy. “Amy!! Hey, how are you? Been a few weeks! Hey Jerry! I’m glad you guys are here. This weekend is going to be so much fun!” You guys talked while Cal unloaded the trunk, getting out the luggage and ice cooler. “Here let me help you with that!” Jerry said to Cal. “You must be Calum. I’m Jerry, Amy’s boyfriend. It’s so nice to meet you.” 

Calum: Nice to meet you! (y/n) told me all about you guys. 

Jerry: Well, hopefully it’s all good things. Haha

Your cousin James comes in, “Hey guys! Let me help.”

Jerry: Oh hey! Calum this is James. James this is (y/n)’s little love affair 

James: Haha, well nice to meet you Calum, my younger sister’s a fan. I hope you actually get to enjoy yourself this weekend. We’ll make sure no paparazzi’s ruin you and (y/n)’s fun. 

Calum: That’s actually really nice to hear. Thank you guys. I can’t wait for all of us to sit and bond tonight. Man, have I got stories to tell. 

While you were talking to your family, you can see Cal smiling and laughing with the guys. It was nice to see them all get a long and like each other. 

Later on that night, you guys started the campfire and sat around in a circle cooking smores. You snuggled up against Cal for warmth since it was getting pretty chilly. You told everyone about you guy’s hide aways and keeping your relationship to a minimum in the press. 

Amy: Wow, you two are the modern day Romeo and Juliet.

You: Well hopefully not, I want to live haha

Calum: haha yeah, ditto. But it was worth it, we really enjoy each other’s company and she keeps me down to earth. I can’t even ask for breakfast without a “I’m not your maid, you make it yourself today!” 

You: Well to the world you might be a rockstar, but you’re just Calum to me, and Calum can get his own things. 

He smiled at you and pulled you close while everyone laughed. 

James: Well, what else have you guys done? We don’t get to see (y/n) often so these stories are great to hear! 

Calum: Well actually, you can hear a lot of what we’ve done in my music. Song’s like “Waste the Night” and “Vapor” are about us, with help from the boys of course. 

Jocelyn: Awww man, that’s so cute. 

Amy: That is cute!! Why don’t you write a song about me hm?!

Amy softly hits Jerry in the chest while we all laugh. 

Jerry: Wooow, thanks Calum, only been a day and you already found a way to make me look bad haha

Calum: Sorry! Didn’t mean to haha 

The rest of the night consisted of everyone telling stories and letting their emotions run freely. Who know, maybe this will be a new song on the next album, but for now it’s just a memory. Can’t wait for the whole weekend! 

Luke: (y/n), did you know that working out actually improves your grades and is cleansing to the body? You literally sweat the stress out. It’ll be good for you to relax and not think about school. 

You: Okay, how about this... after finals are done and over with, I’ll finally go to the gym with you. I wanted to get healthy this summer anyways.

Luke: You promise?

You: Promise. Now open that Ecology book and get to reading, or we both fail haha

3 weeks after that conversation, finals finished and you never felt so free. It was as if the boulder you were carrying was suddenly lifted and destroyed. You looked at your phone and noticed a text from Luke. 

Lukey: Hey (y/n), I’ll pick you up around 8. Get ready to feel the burn :-) 

“Damnit!!” you yelled out. You completely forgot you about promising Luke to go to the gym with him. You know you couldn’t break the promise, he’d never let you live that down so you decided to make a quick snack and put your water in the fridge to get it as cold as possible. 

Within no time, Luke was honking outside. It was time to break a sweat. 

As soon as you walked into the gym, the sight of people being able to do more than you made you feel nervous, you felt like you didn’t fit in. Luke noticed this and wrapped him arm around your shoulder, “Hey” he said, “Don’t think about anyone else, they all started where you are right now. Everyone is here for a different reason and no one is judging you by what you can and cannot do. Also, I’m here and if anyone says anything to you I’ll-” you shoot him a smirked look, “you’ll do what” you said. “I’ll get Calum and Michael here to teach them a lesson” he laughed, which caused you to laugh and feel better. It might have not been your scene, but it felt better having Luke here. 

Fast forward 30 sit ups, 20 push ups, and 20 burpees later. “C’mon (y/n)!! Hold that plank for a little bit longer!! Just 20 more seconds!!” “YOU SAID THAT 30 SECONDS AGO LUKE.” You loudly told him and you were struggling to stay up. You kept telling yourself you could do this, just don’t think about it too much and distract yourself. “3,2,1..time.” He said, those words sounded like heaven to your ears. “You’re doing great (y/n)! How about we get to the Elliptical now to just relax a bit?” You were lying on your stomach with your arms acting as pillows, “Oh joy, running” you snarled sarcastically. “haha, no you don’t have to run. Just go at whatever speed you want and we’ll just be on there for 30 minutes, then we’ll leave” Your core felt like it had been stabbed a million times, but it didn’t sound too bad, so you didn’t mind. You two found some next to each other so while you were on the elliptical, you chatted. “So, whats the real reason you refused to come to the gym?” he asked. “I told you, school was on the brain” you replied. 

Luke: (y/n) I’ve known you since 3rd grade, I know you well enough to know that’s not the reason. Whats going on?

You: Okay... so I felt self conscious about coming because everyone is used to this while I can’t even lift 20 pound weights by myself. 

Luke: So how do you feel now?

You: Well now that I look around, everyone is different and no one is giving anyone any dirty looks. It’s as if everyone is just comfortable with being around each other. 

Luke: Does that mean you’ll come with me again?

You: As long as I’m with you and we work together, yeah. Not everyday but maybe twice a week. 

Luke’s was smiling cheek to cheek and you could tell he was excited to have a gym partner. 

I’m rusty and haven’t written in a while so I’m sorry if this was basic or bad but I’ll get back into the hang of it soon. xx
