See you again soon, London. Cheers đŹđ§ #carlaandjuliaadventures #london
Big Ben & London Eye at dusk. A pretty good last-day scenery. #carlaandjuliaadventures #london #bigben (at Big Ben)
It's from 1685. It's a 1st edition. It has all Shakespeare's works (and then some). And it's ÂŁ85,000. (That's about $127,000, in case you're considering.) #blackwell #blackwellsbookshop #oxford (at Blackwell's Bookshop)
The things I've seen in the wardrobe... I'm changed forever. #queencarlathevaliant #thelionthewitchthewardrobe #cslewis #thekilns (at The Kilns)

C.S. Lewis' Study, at his house in Oxford, the Kilns. Pressing pen to paper in the same spot that I know he did was like brushing fingertips with a ghost. It was humbling to be there. #cslewis #thekilns #oxford (at The Kilns)
I am a lost boy, from Never Land, usually hanging out with Peter Pan... #hydepark #peterpanstatue (at Hyde Park)
I found the gem of London: Hyde Park. #carlaandjuliaadventures #hydepark #wearingyellowforvangogh (at Hyde Park)
When you get to meet the cast portraying 5 characters who have meant so much to you since childhood... their performances moved me, but more than anything they transported me back to the place where as a child I felt safe, felt like I had a place to belong. "And though it's nowhere I have been, I'll keep on smiling from the times I've had with them..." Thanks for bringing me back home to Hogwarts, guys. ⥠#harrypotterandthecursedchild #potterhead #canyouguesswhoplayedwho? (at Palace Theatre, London)

my diary entry from July 23, 1998
If you look at the ingredients list and itâs a bunch of words you donât even know⌠neither does your body (x)
Just like if you break apples and grapefruit down into their chemical components, Iâm willing to bet that most people wouldnât recognize the âingredientsâ either. Itâs a bunch of words you donât even know:
External image
Donât use these scare tactics - Chemicals arenât inherently bad. Literally everything is made up chemicals. Trust me, your body knows what niacin is. It knows how to digest fructose and calcium sulfate. Even if you only consume the most basic and ârealâ foods that are pulled directly off the vine, youâre still ingesting a series of chemical compounds that you probably canât pronounce. Thatâs okay.Â
thanks to drhoz for submitting!
âIf you canât pronounce it, itâs bad for youâ is literally the worst pseudo-scientific scaremongering bullshit tactic. I hate it so much.
Iâm pretty sure you can pronounce âarsenicâ, but that doesnât change the fact that arsenic is highly toxic. On the other hand, you couldnât pronounce âcycloadenosine monophosphateâ or ânicotine-amide-dinucleotide-phosphateâ, though both of them serve vital roles in human biochemistry and you would die if your body wouldnât produce them.
Cyanide: Easy to pronounce, very bad for you.
Eicosapentaenoic acid: Difficult to pronounce, very good for you.
Itâs more important to know what the chemicals are and why theyâre in there. Anti-intellectualism helps no one.
â James Kennedy, âChemophobiaâ is irrational, harmful â and hard to break
Iâm gonna keep reblogging this until my knuckles fall off.
This is especially hilarious because grapefruit is well known for being dangerous for some people because of how it can interact with certain medications. Do fruit loops do that?
âPoison is in everything, and no thing is without poison. The dosage makes it either a poison or a remedy.â - Paracelsus

goblin and angel.
goblin: what do you fear losing the most?
my sisters. definitely my sisters. i genuinely donât know how i would survive losing either of them.
angel: what are three things you love about one of your close friends? (you can name them or not)
just one? but i dont wanna do just one.Â
i love that jules (you) doesnât question any of my interests or dreams, she just supports them without question and usually learns about them herself so we can share in them. i love that she loves me and my family with ferocity, that she feels the need to protect me and the people i love. i have not often felt protected in my life and she reminds me that i am loved enough to be worthy of protection. and i love that sheâs my big sister, because iâve never had one and usually when you jokingly start calling your older friend your sibling it ends up fading or itâs just for fun. but no, she really has taken on that role for me, she teaches me how to do my hair and makeup and is ALWAYS there on the dark nights when iâm alone and gives me her hand-me-downs and can sit beside me for hours without needing to do anything but change the movie. i am so grateful for that.Â
i love that hannah speaks to my soul. it feels like we have our own language of emotions sometimes and because of that she wakes up the earth goddess in me who is full of feelings and life and dreams. i love her vulnerability, the way she cannot help but to wear her heart on her sleeve. and i love that i can just be unapologetically real with her, even if iâm just mad at her or if i hate her decisions or iâm tired and bitter and angry or over the moon and way too excited and happy, it doesnât matter. she lets me be me and i never feel like i have to say sorry for it.
i love michele because sheâs such a mother. i realized that whenever i have a problem, i want to ask michele how to handle it. because she was my roommate, is my roommate, and she helped me unclog my toilet and kill cockroaches and beat heartaches. i love michele for how wild she is, that she is adventure itself and isnât afraid of freedom. she makes me less afraid of my freedom. and God, i am so endlessly grateful for the way You made her with the least judgmental heart possible. i can tell michele anything, ANYTHING, and she does not impose her opinions, she does not make a sound, she just hears and breathes and is there with me. that is a gift and i am so blessed to have a friend who possesses it.
