During the last few days, the urge to write kinda hit me. I mean, I write everyday, it’s my work, and I’m even working on some cool projects lately. But still, I wanted to try and write something for this community.
This is a series. Or, at least, this is the first chapter of a series. If there will be a second and when, it all depends on my time and mental health - and both have been quite… erratic, lately.
It has some kinky elements (mostly emeto), but it doesn’t want to be “just” a sickfic: I want to tell a story - a romantic, enemies-to-lovers, quite cliché story, but still a story - with a Hero’s Journey, characters arcs and all this. With kinky elements, of course. There will be something pretty much in each chapter, but they won’t be the focus of the story. Which is quite a shitty idea, considering the target audience.
But well, that’s me. If I wanted it easy, I wouldn’t write for a living.
The male MC begins as an incel, or almost. But I believe in change and redemption, at least in stories. IRL, sadly, not so much.
The female MC is heavily inspired by Invisibi- ehm, Invisigal from Dispatch. Because… because Visi is Visi. And play Dispatch, you filthy animals.
In the end, I don’t mean it as an excuse, but English is not my first language (nor the second!). So, please, close an eye or two (but not three, unless you have some nasty mutations) on the several mistakes I’m gonna do.
Thanks for now… and here we go.

Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick.
Romeo is torturing his pen on the table of the waiting room of the prison, unable to kill some time until the assigned inmate he has to transfer will arrive. T. is looking at him from behind the barred reception, a pitiful gaze in his eyes. Romeo just grunts in return. He hates to wait, which goes pretty bad with his attitude to arrive at least half an hour earlier.
« I told you to come later this time. »
« And a happy new year. »
Finally, some rusty noise comes from behind the huge, metal door at the end of the room. Then, the door opens and four sturdy guards walk out dragging a small girl in an orange suite. Romeo takes a look at her with his highly caffeinated, sleep deprived eyes. He can’t help himself but grunting.
Black short hair, ever-angry brown eyes, a septum through her nose and a tattoo covering her whole left hand. That girl has everything he never appreciated in women. Which, in his own head, sounds pretty much like: trying to look like a man.
The guards open another door, just next to the reception box, and they drag the girl inside. Romeo just glances at T., shaking his head. T. smiles and he moves his hand, telling him to approach. Romeo shrugs and crosses the room, reaching the box.
T. picks up a small yet highly technological watch and puts it on the counter, in front of Romeo.
« Do you see this big, blue, digital button at the center of the display? »
« If she’s giving you a hard time, just tap it and she’ll behave. They’re putting a chip in her head right now. »
« Wow. Gadgets. Just like James Bond. » He pauses. « Except for the girls, the cars and the money. »
« One can’t have it all, I guess. »
Romeo grunts. He likes grunting. Then, he picks up the watch and wears it on his wrist, walking away. He just stops at the center of the room, and he turns back towards T.
« If I press this button, she’ll behave, okay. But… how? »
T. shrugs. « The side effects are linked to the inmate’s brain. Their worst fear, or something like that. »
Another rusty noise, and the side door opens. The inmate is now wearing a leather jacket, black jeans and a black crop top. Romeo’s eyes wander on the girl’s belly button, when the watch suddenly pings. A name appears on the display. The girl’s name.
« Are you fucking kidding me? Your name is… Jane Doe? »
« My parents had a twisted sense of humour. Too bad I never met them. »
« Mph. » Then, he just shrugs and nods his head towards the main door. « Come. »
Romeo raises his watch, ready to push the button. « Behave. Or I- »
« Do you really think I’m afraid of that… trinket? »
Jane storms through the room, and glaring at Romeo with her profound brown eyes, she holds his wrist and pushes the button herself. The two of them stare at each other for a split second… when Jane’s eyes open wide, surprised. Before she can put a hand in front of the mouth, a sprout of vomit makes its way through her lips.
Jane falls on her knees on the floor and she raises a shocked expression towards Romeo, looking like a scared puppy. A puddle of vomit is all over the floor and on her hands. Yellow, acid-smelling vomit. Pieces of pudding and cereals are scattered here and there, undigested, probably because she just had them for breakfast. Another piece can be found on her hands, through her dirty fingers, and even hanging from her mouth, covered in vomit as well.
As he’s noticing and analyzing all this in the most scientific way, Romeo feels a familiar bulge moving in his pants. Damn. An emetophile and an emetophobe through the whole fucking country for a whole fucking week.
Staying focused on the mission will be harder than ever. Pun intended.
