I want to take the sun in my hands, her round cheeks and soft jaw, flushed as the face that forgets winter with a single step inside– I want to hold her, as she has held me, suspended in time like the dust dancing riotous in pure summer. I let her know that I am one of hers, a curling creature like the cat, the adder, the thawing frog at the edge of deep-cold. I want to feel her heart flutter under my hand– I want her to be warm.

truly just thinking about how sweet my girlfriend is like how she had my coffee all set up for me in the morning the other day when she left for work early, and how she remembered to get orange juice at the store to help increase my iron absorption, and how she keeps little lists in her phone of dates to take me on or little details of things i’ve said i wanted to do, and how every single time i kiss her cheek she gets the biggest smile on her face, and how she always always grabs for my hand in the car, and how she’ll bring home my favorite cookies from her job for me just because, and how she picks out shirts when we go to the thrift store that she thinks i’ll like, and how she always goes to my scary doctor’s appointments with me, and a million other little things that show just how much she loves me every single day, love is really in the small gestures

I think romantic gestures are cool and all but I think there’s nothing more profound then the idea of being in love with someone and it just you carry them with you without even thinking you love them. it’s all I take a bite and then I offer you some ... I come home early so I can eat with you ..... we cook together ..... when one is upset we sit with them. thinking about the way love is expressed unknowingly..... and yet so tenderly gosh I go crazy thinking about love that’s just apart of you ... it just comes naturally. it’s as simple as I love them and it ends up becoming apart of everything you do

I crave domesticity so much, waking up in eachothers clothing, opening the cabinet in your girlfriends appartment and seeing that one cerial I really like, having my toothbrush at her sink and hers at mine, a mug just for me and that one hot chocolate flavor I adore so we can sit together feet entertwined as we bring ourselves closer to conciousness, knowing someone so well that you can relay their order to the takeout person without even asking them. It seems so fantastical but like…its out there.

when people ask me what i want to do with my life i’m like. i wanna wear an ugly expensive coat to go grocery shopping at lidl… and uhh take a bath with someone who loves me… write a children’s book that my lover illustrates…. be an extra in an a24 movie starring robert pattinson… be kissed on the eyelids…. blow on a spoonful of soup before eating it… own a pair of shiny patent leather loafers… thanks so much <3

last night as i was falling asleep i was thinking about the beauty of loving someone in any form and just wanting things with them without any ulterior motives or any other goal. like wanting to be around someone because you love them and want them in your life, not because they can do something for you, wanting to make someone food or make things for them in general not because you expect something in return but because you want them to eat well and to be happy. wanting to hold someone just because you want them close and want to make them feel safe and warm. wanting to wash someones hair because you love them and want to take care of them. anyway i think its really sweet and beautiful how a lot of times when we love someone we do things like this
