‘Winter Hunt’
A fun illustration of my frosty boy, Aquilo! It was an awfully challenging piece, layering the shadows, leaves and lighting together. But I think it turned out well! I’m always so excited whenever I get to draw Aquilo, as I’m working hard on his story and world in the BG. Even a simple scene like this means so much, as the more I work on him, the happier I get. Knowing his world is slowly coming to life ❤️

Someone asked for more Hugo and Poky interaction, so your wish is my command! (Btw, I’m always tickled by you guy’s comments asking about my Oc’s!) I am working more on Hugo and the other lads in the Dark Ice universe, but work has increased a bit on my end so I’m trying to draw whenever I can!
Btw, Hugo can understand Poky as he can understand the speech of animals. Poky also can be a sassy one, but with how attached she is to Hugo, sometimes the loneliness can get to her when he’s away. I also tried out how a comic would look in greyscale than my usual one color. I’m not the biggest fan, but it’s worth experimenting! I’ll get there eventually. Tell me what you think!

Funnily enough, I actually took an archery class before doing these poses! Only because models online don’t use strung bows that allow tension, so I wanted to see how it felt while pulling back on an arrow and get into Aquilo’s headspace. It was a ton of fun! I’d love to go back and do more archery someday. I give all the flowers to archers cause WOW, there is a serious amount of skill and training that goes into it, and I simply grazed the tip of the iceberg!

Why thank you! It wasn’t fully necessary, but Im crazy enough to do so lol. I thought it would help me out better since I had an archery place nearby to understand the poses better, it’s also fun to try something new too! And I’m glad you like him!!

Another piece I made for Mother’s Day, but I was pretty busy so I finished this later on in the day with whatever time I had left. It’s La Luna and his younger sister Elvana (or Ellie) with their mama, Freya! (Ellie is a human btw! Their father, Akira, is human. Which also makes Luna half human!)
I’ve had this image in my head for quite a long time now! I’m glad to finally put it down. I love the results so much!!
I used the Bruny pencil in Procreate btw. It’s by far my most favourite pencil cause it recreated traditional work so well. I recommend it!

I have a weird love/ hate relationship with Cryogonal. I remember when Black and White first came out, I was awestruck with Cryogonal’s design. It was so creepy but so cool that I had to get one in my game! Unfortunately, the ONLY location where Cryogonal was located had a 1% chance of encountering them.
It took me like 30-45 minutes to find them 😂😭
Ik they increased the encounter rate in B2W2 but kid me didn’t want to go through that hassle again. But you couldn’t imagine my disappointment/anger when Cryogonal just became a regular spawn in the more modern games like the Sword and Sheild DLC smh.
Anyways, wanted to draw the little bugger. At first, I wanted to draw as much poses as possible!… then I realized how annoying it is to draw them 😂 they can be pretty funny to push the personality around though!

Accelgor my beloved 😍
Ok, Accelgor’s personality was much easier to push than Excavalier! At first it seemed daunting cause its poses are usually always… neutral? But the more I sketched, the more I began to see a silly side to them. As a kid, I found myself leaning more towards Accelgor than Excavalier (I think they were easier to draw, so I liked them a lot lol) I also think I had access to them in my game edition too.
‘Breaking’ or pushing a characters personality out of their comfort zone interested me suddenly when Luna, who is considered to be well spoken, kind, and a bit awkward was momentarily ‘posessed’ by an evil snake in his campaign. It was really fun getting to switch character into a more sinister and creepy tone while Luna was under possession before his teammates wrangled the snake off of him. I drew this a day after the session to touch upon a ‘sinister smile’ he gave before being ordered to attack his friends.
It’s actually kinda hard to break a character drawing wise, cause you already got a sense of what their personality is. So switching to something completely opposite of their character is almost jarring, but fun of you know what direction to steer them in.
If you are attempting to break character, this sudden switch in personality should make sense to the character and the plot surrounding it. If they are being influenced by a spell, a possession or a mental break, it should be at least relevant to the story as well as the drawbacks or aftermath of the switch (if they can remember it). Luna was horrified after for attacking his friends, and it took awhile for him to recover from that. Though, all scenarios are different, just try your best to make the switch relevant to the character’s story!
