This Feeling Calls for Tea

When I tell you going back to work feels like there’s a lump in my throat and my left hand is missing and the joy and whimsy of my life has been replaced by scrolling teens who demand phone chargers from me all day… that would be true. Hoping I get back into a rhythm where my job feels good and fun again and not just a place that keeps me from my kid.

C is sick and it’s the saddest thing ever. He threw up all over his bed, on me at least 10x, M once… it’s so sad to see him so sick. He’s resting now, and I’m waiting to feed him in intervals as per the nursing line advice. This is the hardest level of parenting yet, he’s just so little! He shouldn’t be able to get the stomach bug until he has screen time and can drink ginger ale (or, ever.) 😮‍💨🫩😭❤️‍🩹

I love having something tethering me to the ground like C does.
