Repair Cafés
Repair Cafés are free meeting places and they’re all about repairing things (together). In the place where a Repair Café is located, you’ll find tools and materials to help you make any repairs you need. On clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, et cetera. You’ll also find expert volunteers, with repair skills in all kinds of fields.
Visitors bring their broken items from home. Together with the specialists they start making their repairs in the Repair Café. It’s an ongoing learning process. If you have nothing to repair, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Or you can lend a hand with someone else’s repair job. You can also get inspired at the reading table – by leafing through books on repairs and DIY.
There are over 1.500 Repair Cafés worldwide. Visit one in your area or start one yourself!

If you haven’t seen this video already, it’s something worth watching. While it’s quite disturbing to watch, it really shows the damage we are doing to our oceans and marine wildlife. I know a few companies are making the switch to biodegradable straws but it’s still not enough. Something needs to change and we need to make it happen!
This is disgusting. I’m ashamed to live in a world where we rely on so much plastic. It’s time to email our politicians and demand change. It’s 2019 folks…wake the F up. THIS IS A PROBLEM.
So happy to see people are passionate about making a change towards getting rid of plastics! Marine animals rely on us to smarten up and make the change. If any of your are interested in helping our cute sea creatures, there’s a great place called www.savetheturtles.ca. They sell reusable straws and donate 5% of their profits to Sea Turtle Conservancy. Something worth checking out to make a small change.

Why did I laugh this hard.
In junior high, I chased some creepo away from the school, going about a block before turning around. I tried to get back to school before I got in trouble for going off the grounds; unfortunately, I did get in trouble. So, for my punishment, I was forced to watch Winnie the Pooh all alone in a dark room, with a teacher supervising. When the episode was over, these little doors on the TV opened up, where a little Pooh head came out (kind of like a slow-mo cuckoo clock), opened its eyes, and said, “More Pooh,” before going back in.
The teacher remarked, “That creeps my daughter out, too.”
