ticketmaster could’ve tweeted “There are rumors about @taylorswift13’s ticket prices. These are not accurate. Stay tuned for more information!”
at ANY POINT when the vip package was released, taylor nation could’ve tweeted “Some venues will offer pit tickets without VIP! Are you ready for it? #repstadiumtour”
but neither did ANYTHING and the fact that fans repeatedly asking if these are accurate was unfair to them and i stand by criticising them for it

hi again !! now that ticket purchasing has begun i thought i’d start the attendance lists

WHAT I LEARNED ON MY CALL WITH TICKETMASTER
(I recorded the conversation but can’t post it because it’s illegal to record someone without their knowledge so here’s a summary based on me re-listening to the conversation a few times.)
First of all, this man was extremely knowledgable.
He told me to think about the boosts “as a race.” You do these things to get a better chance of receiving a presale code. Now the number of those who applied for presale far outnumbers the number of seats they have to sell for presale SO they go through and determine those who will receive the code by looking at our place in line, our activity, and all of that. IT IS NOT RANDOMIZED. It is based on your place in line, as well as other factors in an algorithm to determine who gets the codes.
HIM: “I don’t want to say it’s a lottery. It’s definitely not. There is some sort of selecting process that they go about taking.”
This being said NOT EVERYONE IS GUARANTEED A CODE FOR PRESALE.
ME: “Rumors are going around saying that not everyone is guaranteed a presale code, is that true?”
HIM: “So just because you signed up for verified fans does not mean you are guaranteed a presale code.” …… “The number of those signed up outnumbers the seats we have for presale.”
Secondly, there is an option to EXCHANGE TICKETS. Basically, during presale you can buy tickets and then come back during general sale and pay a 9 dollar exchange fee and get BETTER TICKETS. Most artists allow this. Taylor should be doing the same!
HIM: “She should allow exchanges. Lady Gaga was exchangeable. Katy Perry was exchangeable.”
ME: “Oh Katy Perry…”
HIM: “Yeah, not to put Taylor Swift on the same level…”
Thirdly, YOU CANNOT USE THE PRESALE CODE TO BUY TICKETS AT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS.
This is in attempts to stop scalpers from getting a code somehow and buying thousands of tickets. You are LIMITED TO A CERTAIN NUMBER OF TICKETS PER CODE. PER ACCOUNT.
Fourthly, YOU CAN ENTER THE CODE IN MULTIPLE TIMES. The code expires once you purchase tickets!
HIM: “The code won’t be expired until the process is complete. If you enter the code in to see if it works then want to go home and buy it later, it will still work. As long as you haven’t made the initial purchase the code will still work.”
I feel like @tshifty will find this useful considering all the confusing information going around.
this person definitely seems to be more knowledgeable than some of the other employees ive seen people talking to, and i truly do hope that this is correct. it sounds much more realistic, so hopefully this is finally the truth.

this is wrong and i don’t care if it’s all some big misunderstanding at this point because taylornation had ample opportunity to be transparent and convey information on the tour and ticket prices clearly and they didn’t. i don’t want to hear anyone to continue to tell people “wait for more information!!” because NO ONE IS GETTING ANY!! they continue to withhold information from us until the last minute and that’s wrong, period.
Why do I feel like tumblr is the only one speaking out about the Reputation tickets issue? Instagram is dead on the matter. We need ANSWERSSSSSS.
