Things He Says

This isn't some pick up chicks routine. You truly are amazing to me. You could be living a life of ease but for some reason you choose to suffer and work. You tell the truth even when it's hard. You are smart and funny. You are loyal and true to your friends, and your friends love you for it.

If I knew nothing else about you but those things, it would be enough. But I know how caring you are, how beautiful you are. How you possess so many of the qualities that the world has forgotten.

You hold my true virginity and my undying love. I have regretted too many things in my life but I won't stand to regret this.

Please hear me when I say that I don't put you on a pedestal. I just see you for the amazing, wonderful woman that you are.

And I wish everyday for your happiness. And I will tell this to every man you date if I have to.

I am proud to call you a friend, a lover, or even just someone I know. I feel lucky just to have had the time with you as I have had. It's a blessing I don't deserve.

Him: I'll never stop loving you. Together or not, I can't.

Me: You love me? Goddamn, you're full of surprises, aren't you?

Him: Yeah I was trying really hard not to tell you.

Me: Oh was that what you were trying so hard not say earlier?

Him: Well, you know it's not your fault, right?

Me: How can you say that?

Him: Ummmm..Because I used to date you? It's not that hard to figure out.

Me: Yeah but we only dated for a month.

The year was 2009.

It was a chilly night in Spring when I met him.

And it felt like I knew him forever.

We were together for a month when life decides to separate us.

Time went by, I moved on, and 4 years after he came back into my life.

And it was like time never existed except for the fact that I only saw him as a friend.

But still, still he loves me.

And despite the fact that I tell him we will never happen again and he has just become my best friend, he still does.

I wish things were different but sadly, we can't help who we love.

And I truly wish I did love him back.

This blog is dedicated to his dedication and to let everyone know that there are still men out there who will love you unconditionally, whether or not it is reciprocated. 

And hopefully, one day, he will meet an amazing girl who will give him the love he deserves. The love that I can never give back to him.
