THE YORK SON.

                      Her lips parted at his suggestion, and she gazed at him in silence for a short moment. “Really?” she squealed, and she quickly bounced over and wrapped her arms rightly around his. “I’d love a dog! I’ve always been too busy for one! Can we go right away? After breakfast, of course?” she beamed, not even embarrassed by her sudden show of affection. 

           He laughed as he adjusted the foot rests and grabbed the handles - eager to start, for once. “Exercise is much more fun with you involved,” he informed him, as he made a couple of strokes, happily bringing their lips together each time. 

“Although I might get a little distracted…” he warned him, as he paused for longer to deepen the kiss. 

                                            “NUH UH.” HE SAID WITH A SHAKE of his head after he’d pulled his head back away from the kiss. “No distractions. They can come later... along with you. If you’re lucky.”

         Following Mark’s lead, she too darted around the front of the car and offered what she hoped was a reassuring smile to the young mutant. Another road sign was sent flying towards her head, but Mark’s shield deflected it before it could cause any harm. 

“And I’m Ororo, or Storm,” she added, as she stood beside him. “We’re here to help you,” she repeated. 

                                            IT SEEMED THE SOFT VOICES AND THE evidence of them being mutants too was enough to calm her down, enough that she stopped telekinetically throwing things at them.

“What’s your name, kid? We ain’t gonna hurt you.”

“Olivia.”

           She, too, had endless practice dancing - the only part of an education which was deemed truly appropriate for a young princess. There was no need for thought as her body automatically fell into the steps, and it gave her time to properly consider her answer. 

“Indeed not. Yet, many are happy to have their decisions made for them, which I fear is dangerously similar,” she commented. Oh, how much her mother wished that Victoria was one of those!
