Slowed down you can see it's almost like he was on his tip toes, the way he drops down and steps back. He's certainly capable of standing his ground, resisting any force Crowley might be putting into the grip on his coat. He was willingly being kept in place, and on his tip toes so Crowley didn't have to lean down so much.

You are correct, he MUST have been on his tiptoes, and I believe that's also part of the reason why he held onto Crowley with both hands when he kissed back. To properly reciprocate to the point of actively pushing into his space and re-balancing them, he needs to make sure he fall.

Not that I think Crowley would have let that happen, but as someone who has kissed a person with a similar height difference, it's not always easy to catch.

And this is something you can pry from my dead, cold hands, but I fully believe that if Aziraphale had had more leverage, Crowley would have eventually ended up with his back against whatever was behind him. The only reason that didn't happen is because it's quite hard to move someone when you're on your tiptoes.

My solution to a problem no one asked a question about is the following: give that man some comfortable and stable high heels, and he will give Crowley the snogging of his life.

I don't have a fixed headcanon for this, and it's highly debatable, but i think Dean realized the nature of his feelings for Cas after he died in 12x23 (widower arc my beloved), then spent s13/14 accepting it ("I'm good with who i am").

Which is why he got that mad at Cas when Mary died: he blamed him more than anyone else because he trusted him more than anyone else, and it felt more like a betrayal because he was ready to question all of himself for him--and instead (during this delicate time) Cas let him down. Also, blaming Cas and pushing him away was a way to avoid dealing with his feelings/sexual crisis and gain some time to process.

I think after the purgatory prayer (where we were near to a confession--again, purgatory being the perfect limbo metaphor), Dean was fully on board with his feeligs for Cas, and he probably knew for sure that Cas felt the same, but everything was happening and it's not like Dean would stop in the middle of fighting God to face a personal romantic situation of that proportion--they were simply them, as they always had been, and Dean just held on to that, for as much as he could (probably thinking "when all of this is over, *maybe...*").
