The Ying-Yang of Bipolar

A writer for the new york times interviewed a series of people who had survived jumping off the golden gate bridge. Every person she interviewed admitted that about two thirds of the way down, they realized that every seemingly meaningless problem that caused them to jump was fixable.

I wish I had someone that I could call every time I was about to relapse. Someone who would know that when I say I’m okay or I’m just tired, that there’s more to it than that. Someone who knows when I shouldn’t be left alone and when I should. Someone who could make me feel love and hope when I feel like I have none. Someone who I could completely trust with my thoughts no matter how messed up. Someone who I know would always protect and stand by me. Someone who would do all of this for me because they know I would do the same for them.

Sometimes the bravest of angels don’t have wings, they have scars.

Make yourself a priority. At the end of the day, you’re your longest commitment.
